Its how lol used to be played before season 1 without meta (like in dota 1), you would play 2 top, 1 mid, 2 bot and just kill and kill each other, champions didn't have roles and you could carry with any champ

Brand new really old strat
back when the game was way more fun and wasn't over in like 20 mins. Laning phase was longer and more fun too. And you could say whatever you wanted without getting chat banned over every little thing. Basically game was fun and based asf. Also didn't have the annoying new champs to play against.
Honestly it would be refreshing if the meta shifted towards a more classic Dota style compared to what it is now.
Cane here to say the same even in season 2 & 3 lot of people refused to jungle so stuck with 2 top no matter what and the exact reason I ended up learning jungle and maining it

Its refreshing to see non meta strategies working like this. I feel like the extremely defined meta that everyone uses has made the game pretty stagnant. The same player distribution and positions for a decade... id love to see more meta breaks like this super fun!!
Likewise, appreciate a be strategy and I hope it gains traction and they find ways (outside of the usual configuration) to counter it, and so on
This game was played in Silver. Something like a meta doesn't exist there
Just feels bad to be that Darius. There’s literally nothing he can do vs this besides give up all his farm and hide under tower.
@@sk1llz_811 if what Zwag says is true, it's also played at a high level at the moment.
I love non meta strats, but the fact that almost all funneling strats I've saw since s1, almost all of then involves Yi. So it always looked more like exploitation than a strat. When not Yi... it's Vayne. I think these champs just has too much scaling on them. They also doesn't really struggle early game. There are champions who are also late game beasts who struggle MUCH more than these (like Kayle and Nasus).
Look at Vayne... supposed to have weak early game and being Painful to deal with later, but in fact is a lane bullier in Top lane. Yi really can duel other strong junglers (with very few exceptions, like Olaf, Trundle, Voli, WW, Udyr...) early on, or just afk farming until 6 and get out of control because people doesn't know how to deal with Yi on most elos. That's not fine at all.

This is what league needs... Ive been saying this for years. I love watching the pros play league but it has always frustrated me that there is never a new strategy. Its always lets just play whats expected and see who does it better... no. Come up with things nobody has ever seen, be creative. This game is just an example, I think we should see something new every time the pros take the stage, and by new I dont just mean a weird comp nobody plays
This isn't new though, it's literally just how the game was always played in season 1 and 2 when jungle wasn't a role yet.
You're not allowed to be creative now. You need to pick a role when you queue.

The last time pros invented something by themselves was in S2 I think, the rest has been grabbing stuff other players have done.

Duo never annoyed me too much but when he's playing norms with viewers or friends, it contains some of the cringest chat I've ever seen. He needs to turn chat off in those games.

I've never seen someone doing duo top since when I first started playing league back in 2012-2013, this brings some nostalgic vibes.
Meanwhile in 2010 my teammates would flame me for trying to explain how power I could be jungling Warwick. "Nobody fights only in the jungle, that's stupid, you have to be in a lane!"

We would play something similar back in the day, sending a support Leona top with Urgot, and have a botlaner who can defend 2v1 well enough to not lose instantly (Heimer in those days) admittedly this was in like, silver elo and nobody would rotate, so it was just a full-on feast.
Bro I remember back in the day Silver players would do lane swaps and shit.
Me and some friends have done a similar thing, but with Illaoi as the 1v2 botlane and Morgana Lux toplane 😈
I remember this strat. It was a weird old fids bot who spammed Q and got some farm but didnt feed but stayed relevant bc its fids. We would eat the top lane and Jungle.
Season 1, nobody jungled, it was 2v2, 1v1, 2v2 ... good days... and turrets didnt have plating lol

Yes it is, if you do this in ranked you gonna get smited by the bans for sure, enough ppl report griefing. In fact I have gotten punished for playing tryndamere jgl with hull breaker, carried few matches by backdoor but kda was crap, ppl reported cuz it was off meta even though I solo Nexus, got two week ban for griefing in plat.
This looks funny as hell. My only question is since you wanna funnel on the Yi, wouldnt you put the support item on the other top laner so Yi can farm the lane and shove using his clear speed?
I think that since they are constantly fighting he gets more money with the support item, could be wrong though

I think the idea is to have two fairly strong champs instead of funnel in case of shenanigans. Having them both be strong means the top isn't gimped and we saw how important that was game 2
Yes, because this is my favorite way to play AD Yuumi support. I even run a similar strategy of HoB, Treasure Hunter, and rushing BotRK. Get the enemy's hp so low they can't farm, split the farm, and instead of Yi's Q to drop turret aggro I use Yuumi's passive/E to just tank a shot while still fighting. I do roam more, to get Treasure Hunter stacked and keep Yuumi's level lower since only E ranks are important on her (thanks for the garbage rework RIOT). It manipulates the objective bonus stuff to stay lower level deliberately. I can get Greaves + BotRK before 10m most games, and have been full adc+tank build (including selling my support item for a real item) before 28m. If the game goes long, little Yuumi can have most damage dealt just on how much fighting she can do before she is forced to reset.
This is the kind of gameplay I enjoy watching the most. Different gameplays and strategies. Could you and your friend pretty please do more videos like this. Also, two matches in one video is gold, a cherry on top of a cake. Keep it up. btw I also enjoy watching you grinding up your elo with Teemo ;)

This is what we did back in season1-2. The good old days when you could play with no jungle and nobody would question it.

Strategy from Dota 2. Nowadays Dota is played in this way, when it is not safe to move around the map, or you have lost the line, you go into the forest and take out the necessary items. Dota 2 used to be like LoL. Jungler was not an important role, but it couldn’t have made him any worse. Jungler bought Iron talon, it’s like a smite in LoL and did their job. (although mostly AFK vacuumed the forest)

In my experience, any strategy that involves using voice coms to duo carry by getting a hyper carry fed pretty much works like this. Yi is especially nasty though because he can be un-targetable. Reminds me of the days of funneling in twisted treeline. That strat would instantly get you to plat 2 and then you had to be better than the other funnel comps to keep climbing.
This was awesome. More vids with eboy you guys got some good chemistry.
I also enjoyed how eboy saved Zwag several times in the first game. It's cool to see a Duo play with their special abilities in concert.

I tried to get ioki to do this. He did a double jungle a while ago and i suggested this instead. Also if you think about it. You can have two roaming supports to keep pressure on mid lane also. Supports seem to be relatively same level ish or as junglers roght now also.

Reminds me of back in season 4 (?). My sister and my self used to play Blitz/Nami bot lane with Nami taking the farm. Was just a nightmare to deal with. Also shoutout to Old WW and Ashe where you would just afk farm until 6 and then Both ult the carry.
Malphite vs Sylas is already unplayable, but a 2 v 1 is just bullying lol
The only reason Jungle became a thing was to allow solo top to level up faster and scale, cuz gold was scarce back then.
New support items make it obselote - and I wonder how Nilah or Zilean on duo top will work.

This setup is still in the game. Vs. AI games put 2 top. which is fine most of the time the players will also do that. but if you have 1 top in a bot game it will turn once you have 1 item.

In theory 2 top could always work, but it would mean that the whole team would need enough game sense and be tolerent in splitting jungle farm. So like ideally, everyone would lane, until someone got killed and than someone would break for a jungle camp, other options would be certian champs being good at wave clear, breaking at random for camps

This strat was great but could have been better as there were times Zwag did alpha strike when Eboy stunned Darius. Should run the comp with two people who are so close they are truly in sync, like Zwag and I0ki. Best friends, truly.

i have been saying for years that Tower should be able to shoot at more than 1 target at a time when it comes to champions OR just make them hit far harder because this being proof that it has come to a point people do not care about towers! might as well not even have them other than to slow down minions.
Honestly not really a bad strat since the game basically gives it to you when you play co-op vs. Bot lobbies, both Jungle and top bots play top, so not really cheating or trolling, but going off of what Riot officially displays as the way to play the game.
Yeah, it's just a pretty classic way to play mobas. The 2-1-2 setup is about 22 years old. League just has really fast kills compared to other mobas so jungle is a decent option.

I see a couple of potential ways to deal with this strat, but idk if they would work really well.
1: jg could gank the other two lanes hardcore and get em ahead.
2: top laner could say screw top and start taking the abandoned jungle creeps (not ideal, but possible)
3: top laner could say screw lane and join another lane (not ideal)
none of these would be perfect counters obviously, but might be a way to fight back against this level of oppression. as always, love the vid Zwag, keep up the funsies!
None of those would work in general.
The best strag against this is doing the same.
As shaco por example, if he had stay at top, they could not do anything.
The only way is to 2vs2 , the prob is you cant know what they go for until you see the sums ingame.
If there is a smite or not.
If darius or mal leave lane vs 2 top, the game will be over in 10min, they will push till its over.
Kills dont get you to win.
You can kill 100 champs and still lose the game.
You need to destroy the base, that the goal of the game, not to kill .
It seems to work just because the other lanes are doing pretty well with the doble lane side. But if jg chooses to really create a snowball in mid or bot it could have

You should play this but with a support that takes smite instead of ignite so you can take jungle camps when waiting for the wave to push back. And support could even take unsealed spell book to get ignite/exhaust etc every so often

this is a good strat, i remember playing vs this back in season 2. this is why i use to main shen.
I vsed this in a normal game, was a yi/malphite vs me (playing cho). I thought he just forgot smite or something. Problem with this strat is that, while I was mildly losing lane, my garen jg was pulling 11 cs a minute farming every camp and was 4/0/4 by the time they ffed at 20 mins.
Yeah, against champs like that the strat won't work. I think WW top could be a good answer to it.

If you don't know this was how the game was played at launch.
Most people didn't know about jungle because prior to LoL there was only DOTA 1. (LoL made dota1 by the way)
So all the new players introduction to LoL played lanes 2:1:2 and no jungle. Untill jungle mobs, items and champs were tweeked. (Dota 2 still has no official jungle roll BTW)
