No shade on all the 8-bit retro inspired games for the past 10 to 15 years but this is on a whole other level where it looks like something you would have seen on the Saturn with the Ram Expansion Cart. I kept dying while playing the demo gawking at all the graphics lol. 😄

Man Natsume and Tengo Project haven't missed a beat in over 30 years. This is hands down the best pixel art I've seen in 2024 and arguably among the best of all time. I can't believe how they packed in so many details and touches between all the background layers. Even when the characters and enemies are idle there's like 20 frames of animation going on. I tried the Switch demo but got stuck on the last jump trying to figure out how to tornado float to the other side but seeing you do it makes me want to try again. I will definitely be grabbing this game when it releases at the end of this month! 😎
As much as I like the current trend of hand drawn art..You just can't beat this amazing kind of pixel animation
