I bet your idle would be fine if you left it stock. Every 2021 TPI I've tried had perfect idle. Maybe some of the older models needed it but I really don't think that mod is needed on the new bikes with the latest mapping.

I had a buddy that went with a 2019 GasGas 300. seemed like the bike always had issues, a lot of the time you could argue that it wasnt the bikes fault. But we all ride the same area and the same way and the KTMs and Husky's didnt seem be broken as often.

I have heard a lot about the new mapping and I have also seen that they have released an "Extreme" version of the mapping that is supposed to give the bike more oil and change some other things. Might want to also look into the TSP ECU flash plus low compression head. That is supposed to provide better stalling resistance.
One other thing. The power valve is supposed to be set to begin opening at 5,500 RPM. The ECU mapping expects this and not all engines are set up this way. You can use an OBDII scanner to read the RPM and then adjust it that way.

    • @P4ddyC4ke

That's why when you asked which bike to ride for KOM I voted for old trusty 250, break-in required.
I have perfect idle before I mess with my 250 TPI, I believe all these idle screw kits just to figure out that stock settings are the best, especially in 2021 models.

Who did you get your idle screw from? If its a slavens screw something is definitely wrong if you have it turned all the way in and it won't idle. If I screwed my slavens idle screw in that far the idle would be crazy high, even with the air screw completely closed.

8:57, you don't want that clutch lever harder to reach,
not good, you should be able to cover it 90% of the
time in rough terrain and technical, keep looking
and you'll find the right set up, what you have now
might not be right for ya. I like the one finger
clutch set up, might not work for you, but I won't
ride if I can't sort out my clutch lever, to make it
    seamless.

Hard enduro is likely just a fad. Popular for awhile but gone in about 10 years. Trials bikes are far superior and more fun in the hard stuff. Enduro bikes are designed and built for faster riding. Hard enduro spectating is popular since people like to see misery and suffering of others. I like riding a motorbike, not pushing, pulling, carrying it. each to their own thou.
