I’d argue that it _doesn’t_ look cinematic, but... youtubery. I actually _much_ prefer the simple kind of shot you had going on in the "5 Reasons to get a Pocket RGB Light (and which ones to buy)" video! I don’t know what kind of lighting it took to get that look, and to me, that’s actually a _good_ thing! It looks believable, but really, really good.
2 lights looked the best in my opinion. No need further separation from background.
