As someone who has purchased many roses (mostly bareroot) from Jackson & Perkins over the past three decades, I can attest to the quality of these roses, and currently they are doing well despite the 100+ F temperatures in drought-stricken Northern Nevada. Thank you, Paul, for your invaluable advice.

Thank you. I've done everything except keep brown leaves on and stop feeding. I will try that.

Comments are turned off on your video about training a climbing rose so thought I'd post here. Thank you so so much for the climbing rose video and the bit about pruning. I'm new to roses and have watched so many videos how to train them on a narrow trellis and how to prune but I didn't understand any of them until I found yours! Thanks so much for sharing

I too wanted to comment for the same video. It was explained so neatly, leaving no ambiguity. The results are stunning. Everytime I look at the blossom it makes me thankful for the video.

I brought 2 different types of roses from Jackson & Perkins did not know about! Planting and inches from soil any of that ! Just putting in soil water every other day and my roses are absolutely beautiful, I went and got 3 more I watch videos how to do properly planting on bare root roses, I follow instructions and not even one of the 3 roses make it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Excellent tips for roses, glad I watched the video. I live on the East Coast, lots of humidity and heat during the summer, last year I was ill, did not take care of my 2 rose bushes, this year some of the main parts are dry and look dead, I started watering and pruning, I now get small roses but the bush looks kinda creepy andugly, what should I do?By the way I have two St. John Paul white fragrant bushes.

    hi Paul,
I am new to your Channel and new to planting roses. I really enjoy all the good tips and how to taken care roses from your channel .
all my da roses are in big pots, they are healthy, leaves are green but barely have any bloom. I am in zone 10b southern California, perhaps is too hot because they are in pot instead in the ground?
I have seen other people plan them in pots and they get beautiful flowers.
I am at lost, so if you have any tips or suggestions it will greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the information. I live in the Palm springs area and summers have been 115-118 for weeks at a time. My question is, is there a mulch that will not blow away in the wind. It can be very windy here. If you keep it wet will that help. Easier said than done in the desert. Have bought your roses forever but lost 4 last year. All my roses are only 2 years old. Still new in the desert. Moved from LA where I could grow anything. Still learning Will be my 3rd summer.
