I don't know why Sung Tae isn't getting much attention for his role in the squid games...I mean he was the one who kept the show going...his acting was so brilliant and his character was so brutal. Like he successfully made the whole k drama fandom and the world hate his character so much. He deserves so much love and recognition as an actor. He did an absolute brilliant job.
Normally they have to be publicized (like the other main actors) for their name to be searched up and followed. I didn't see his name or him in much of the promotion content, so that might be one of the reason !
Then you got Chil Sung in Psychopath Diary. Such a funny character. This dude is so talented he can just change his character like that. Really loves all his work.
Wah i wasnt expecting sungtae to be this soft you know? He admitted crying while reading scrips, very grateful for his followers and i just like his speaking style lmao idk i admire this man, i’ll watch your upcoming projects~ Edit: his relationship with his wife is cute too😭 he will never film bed scene bcs of his wife, even if it’s 1billion krw offer aww Edit: of coz ik that he has that toilet scene in squid game…i guess as long as it’s not on bed?😂
huh, but he had a sex scene in squid games though. that being said, he's an amazing actor. loved him in beyond evil and squid games. looking forward to see more of him.
Almost all Korean show villains have had the same contrast effect after the role made them popular and I think that's what's most amusing to see. Like that train to busan villain dude was also a teddy bear
Honestly the first thing I saw Sung Tae in was Diary of a Psychopath where he plays the softest person ever, it suits his real personality so much. I hope I can see him playing more roles like that in the future.
Same, I saw him there first and I honestly think the reason he could do this role so well is because it's so him: someone who looks tough on the outside but is pretty innocent, cute and soft.
True !! I mean they aren't pronouncing his surname 'Tripathi' which I can understand is difficult... They just need to be familiar with his actual name which is just 3 syllables 😂 A-nu-pam
There is a possibility that it's scripted - they could've asked the guy to set the stage so they could let the viewers know that Anupam had a Korean name as well.

It's weird to say his name is hard to say, try a little. I mean he had to learn all the Korean names, he can at least make effort to learn one Indian name.
it's also not a difficult name to say at all. its spelled the way it's pronounced and all those sounds exist in korean. anupam probs gets that a lot tho, which is why he probs made a korean name to help deal with that
