Best shot was when it flashed by under the bridge (around 1:00). Gave a real sense of speed. So fast.

I feel Amtrak needs to have it's own TGV between BOS and WAS at that speed or close to it, that would be cool, even with the curves between Warwick Interlocking thru Mill River Interlocking in upper Connecticut, and the 300= speed would be goon thru NJ, and after Philadelphia thru Wilmington, Perryville MD till BAL, which has to go slow into those tunnels, and then it could do 300mph from after those tunnels thru the junction after New Carrolton MD station.

asablic u must to know that this speed record is approved and is on rails, maglev is a magnetic train and his record was not approved.
You must know too that this train is a double stage so more heavier and with many people on it.
If the maglev was like that i'll say yes he is fastest but it's not true. But i think magnetic tech is the futur.

Amtrak does have a highspeed line. Acela Express. It only runs 150MPH, and only between Boston and DC, but it's a start. To run at 300MPH, new tracks would need to be built, and I'm sure if it came out of your tax dollars you would be whining about it.
