Even though Cameron's Titanic doesn't show the break up of the ship TECHNICALLY correctly, it still works REALLY WELL for film purposes, and except for the final plunge, must have been very close to how the sinking actually happened.
At the time of its production and release, this was the most accurate break up theory (45⁰ angle) but then over the next years they ran some simulations and found out that the ship would just break at a much shallower angle
You can’t really fault them because it was the closest they were to an accurate theory at the time. And, ghoulish as this may sound, it does look damn good on screen!
It's all just theory anyway, no one has a definitive answer. All we know is she broke in half after her lights went out and she sank at 2:20 in the morning.
They brightened the scene so we could see it breaking up but in 1912 in real life survivors said it was pitch black when electricy was gone out and the lights were red when it started sinking and they said there was so many scream crying sounds and said they heard creaking noises and said they started to slip
@@devranali2219 There were red lights. They were the dynamo lights, they worked as "Emergency electricity generating sets", would stay on for a minute or 30 seconds.
People say Spicer Lovejoy (The guy who had blood on his face and was right where the Titanic cracked in this shot) died from falling in the chasm when the ship cracked. well, I noticed that he actually didn't. Look at these clips: 1:02 and 1:18 There is a guy right where Lovejoy was when it cracked holding on to the side of the ship. He is still alive. Then 99% percent sure he died once the ship took it's final plunge. If he managed to get on a lifeboat at this point I would be shocked, but they never showed that in the movie so he probably didn't make it. But he didn't fall in the chasm when the ship cracked in half I know for sure!
Recall that it was an utterly moonless night when this happened and so when the lights finally died, it was pitch-black. Clinging to the superstructure in total darkness, or sitting in the lifeboats hearing the screams of the damned and the noises of the ship being torn apart by the stresses..........I've read that the survivors were haunted for years by it.
THIS IS SO SAD OMG when I saw the actual movie I cried so hard it was absolutely terrible and scary especially when the light went out, the ship cracked, and that big black and yellow thing fell on like, 150 people
One real life crew member on Titanic the Chef Charles Joughin survived the cold water by drinking so much whiskey and being drunk it kept his body warm from the cold water until the lifeboat saved him and he lived until 1956. The person in the movie next to Kate Winslet who drank out of the flask is who that is based on I never knew why they didn't put that in the movie.
The water pressure built up, and the titanic split into 2 pieces!. She actually sank 2 hours and 40 minutes after the collision with the iceberg!. From Joe. X
The problem with this scene is the sound effects. It lacked some deeper base making it sound just like plyboard and not metal. Also the side shot looked obviously like a scale model.
Ahh no, rose's dad isn't in the movie, if you watch the scene where she is talking with her mother about how her father left them a legacy of bad debt after his untimely death.
We all can only imagine how terible was to be in midle of antartic ocean in peach black on those life boats and listening peoples screams and ship chrunch noises knowing ther may be someone of your fammily up.there on ship too. When electricity went off there was only dark and people there couldn't see notting...so scary.
Can you even begin to imagine how horrific that was to experience for all those people in the dark and cold god bless them
0:40 In the 24 years since I first saw this movie, I only now realized that it was Spicer Lovejoy (Hockley's bodyguard)

Anakin: "We lost something...."
Kenobi: "Not to worry, we're still sailing half a ship."
😂 LOL what!?
0:36 Shotgun shot effect sound 😅
You mean revolver
That sound it made when the lights went out for that second before it started to crack open is awful its a miracle anybody survived

There wasnt any red light avtually. It was just pitch black

That would have been something if Lovejoy survived and got to a lifeboat!
Spicer Lovejoy is dead? How?
Movies from 1990's-2000's are the definition of realistic

Can't you believe this traumatizing event was just from a big piece of a hard water
@Meteoo
It technically is. It's frozen water
For the first time in the film, the rich value everybody's lives on the ship. Especially when watching Rose's mother.
I think she was only concerned about Rose.
@@THOMASINTHE1980S exactly she didn't know if rose got into another lifeboat or if she was still on the sinking ship or if she was even still alive

This is again a reminder not to underestimate Almighty mother Nature. Everything is just a particle of dust in front of nature
Nobody can beat nature. The best the people can do is try to survive as you are ready.

Esta Cena Do Filme Titanic Foi Uma das Melhores,O James Cameron Preparou-a muito bem e tem efeitos especiais excelentes

Because it was a scale model
@GraysonPalmer-kd5xm but it should sound like a scale model. They sould have overlayed sound effects that best suits the the material.
