This was great! There are some people in the world that have a personality that’s naturally funny, engaging and real. You’re lucky to be one of those😊 The way you phrase things and utilize word choice, makes watching your videos an excellent experience. Just wanted to say that. 🦎🦎❤️🦎
love this , i have a cart thats smaller but yeah i so get it , its just very useful and easy to move the cart around to feed and take care of each area , love your cart and room
This is awesome, Just picked up a gecko this past week from you and Maddie. I always wondered what your gecko room looked like and how you kept them. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hey tyler for those opening doors you can add a command strip hook tab on the door and on the caged and connect them with an elastic quick easy permanent no tools
My wife over took one side of our bedroom wall with those Costco enclosures to use for her shoes and accessory stuff. I knew they looked perfect for gecko enclosures 😂 how’s the ventilation with those? Watched another breeder use the same boxes but he drilled a ventilation hole.
This is such a beautiful setup! 😍Though the electric blues & Gary’s tanks look like they’re leaning into each other???not sure if I’m imagining it or not
You’re not imagining, the shelf is not great even though the enclosures aren’t very heavy 😅 we need to put a board down under them to distribute weight more evenly
Hey Tyler! I have a bioactive enclosure for my crested gecko. I recently added some plants which I think may have been infected with nematodes because I noticed some in the soil of the enclosure. I washed the plants but now I'm regretting not sterilizing them further. How big of a deal are nematodes? Will they kill the isopods? I would appreciate any input. After some more research I realized that soil nematodes are too small to see with the naked eye so I'm not sure what I saw. Just teeny, long (1-3 cm?), white worms. Oyy! I did more research and found that some nematodes are really long. I don't know what to think at this point. I don't think they're fungus gnat larvae because they are too long and don't have little black, shiny heads.
I have so many thoughts on this amazing room. To start, that first little gecko you showed was super adorable - and he totally matched your hair! XD Also, I love how innovative and creative you are with your displays and they look *crisp*! Costco shoe boxes...who knew? Looks sleek! I enjoy all of your videos because you're effortlessly charismatic and entertaining, crack me up, and teach me new stuff all the time - thank ye! And I got so so excited when I saw you also have a Ghost Sunkissed Cornsnake!
Hey Tyler, really good vid on all your 200 cresteds 😂, just curious to what are your top 5-6 best plants for cresteds in a 18x18x36 even though in your experience your geckos didn’t like them but curious to know if I have any in mind even though you don’t necessarily keep and of those that I’ve see
Dracaena are one of my favorite plants for crested geckos! A lot of the ones at the store are small but they’ll grow big enough for a 36” enclosure with time. Also snake plants and pothos are great!
Thank you so much for sharing your knolwedge! Question, my male after reaching maturity, is not eating much as he used to before. I currently keep him in a 24" x 18" x 24". Should I downsize the enclosure or would he get stressed? He weighs like 42g
If he loses weight and starts to look skinny I would definitely try moving him into something a little smaller to see if it helps him put weight back on. Some geckos will start to eat more once they’re in something a little smaller, so it’s worth a try if you’re concerned at all!
Now I don't feel so bad for keeping the same small pond net next to my giant day gecko's tank. But with them having the ability to shed their scales to get away, I'd rather not try to catch my little guy with my hands. Once I have more space, I hope to get one of your cresties.
That's not creative, it's sickening. Shoeboxes are not an environment for any living creatures... My isopods have an bigger bioactive enclosure. Come back to reality.
These are Shoeboxes. Not enclosures. If u want to get a shoebox enclosure, get it for ur shoes only. This man is insane for keeping these beauties in this plastic shit and he is sickening cruel for recommending them to you.
It needs to be normalized. Theres so much hate about appropriate size enclosures coming from people who dont breed at all. I have an 18x18x24 that i had one of my females in but she was not doing well at all in there. Not finding the food despite having multiple feeding stations. Loat some weight. I switched her to a 12x12x18 and shes doing so much better. Actually exploring her new home and has been eating. I put my male in the 18x18x24 and hes doing good in that. It depends on the gecko as well. Some will do great/fine in the bigger enclosures but some will do better in a 12x12x18
100%!!! I can totally see the other side where some people might have 1 gecko and it happens to do great in a bigger enclosure so they don’t understand why sometimes downgrading is necessary, but I know many people who have several cresties and have some that just don’t thrive in a big enclosure for whatever reason 😅
Respectfully couldn’t you put them in the correct size enclosure and not breed them as much. Then they wouldn’t calcium crash. Genuine question not hating
They actually only are paired once per season typically for a day or two or even less if we witness a lock, and then are separated. They will retain sperm and lay between 3-8 clutches from a single pairing. The only way to get them to stop would be putting them somewhere cold to promote their body to stop laying eggs. We never re-pair once they stop naturally producing as we believe their bodies know when it’s enough, and we give our females rest years often. We also have males that don’t breed yearly, but around breeding season will pace their cage and burn a lot of calories looking for love. While some of our geckos do great in larger enclosures and maintain weight super well, we cater what each gecko does best in based on their body condition, weight, and how their eggs look, combined with frequent monitoring and supplementation of a stronger oral calcium supplement to help keep calcium reserves up. The biggest reason for the smaller enclosures for some is to keep them eating enough to maintain a body weight that sustains body function while breeding, because that’s when it can get rough to pull them back. It’s not as much of a space or frequency issue, but just what we’ve found is best for each individual gecko.
Love too see this! My pet rooms getting bigger than I thought it would ever get but this is just crazy awesome.

Thank you Tyler. I love the blue day gecko.
Your room looks great.
Amazing video ❤
I have beardies, a tegu, savannah monitor, pythons..but I’ve never had a gecko and I am obsessing on crested geckos now 😅
Hey tyler for those opening doors you can add a command strip hook tab on the door and on the caged and connect them with an elastic quick easy permanent no tools
Make sure hooks are just pointing in the opposite direction they usually have them at the dollar store

I understand the need for the disclaimer but honestly I don't hate your setups at all. They're intact really nice and bonus that they look snazzy AF 😊
Wow thats an awesome set up
Hello brother ! this video great, there are beautiful geckos.

Hello my friend I have magnets too I keep magnets with me in my room
Those are some white teeth!Great video too.
those geckos cost same amout as in my country but I use PLN so its 4 times cheaper :OO I bought one 3 days ago :D

Guys are 150 euros good for a creastie?
Do you ship your mourning gecko babies
The music made me think you were going to have some Tarantula’s. Lol.
Those are in a different room 🤪
Yeah i thought wait.. did i click on tarantula collective
Same here.
I swear half the time one of my animals drops a shed or a molt I have a heart attack thinking they're decomposing 😭😭
wouldnt magnets on the doors be easier?
They currently have magnets but yeah we’ve considered trying to replace them with stronger ones, the tape is hopefully temporary lmao
Pretty cool room!
Is there a link to the shoe boxes from Costco??
If you search for Costco stackable shoe boxes it should pop up. I just had to add ventilation holes to them
@@tylerrugge thank you!! :)
@@Alexis-gj6kzalso note I think there’s two sizes. This is the larger size that is designed to fit boots and larger shoes I believe!
@@MaddieSmith thank you! It looks like they are only available for our friends in the US. Canada seems to be out of luck unfortunately :(
Hi do you sell Red Eyed Crocodile skinks?
No we do not work with those currently but I wish lol
Lol same intro song as the turantul collective. Are the channels related?
Richard’s a cool dude but our channels have no correlation lmao I didn’t realize I used the same music as him until I saw the comments 😂
200 is crazy
Omg that is soooo creative to use the shoe boxes

I’d like to adopt an older crestie tbh
