Steve looks great for 70, I never would have thought he was that old. A great testament to having a good wife who brings peace and not chaos into his life.
Would it be a good idea to have a drip edge strip permanantly attached to the outside face of the door near the bottom? It wouldnt be able to seal against the jambs but it could come close.
Nothing wrong with a quicky. Happy birthday Steve. May God grant you two love, happiness and health. Cutting the 2by's adds to rustic feel. Painting adds some flair.
Congratulations, Steve. I passed the 70th year a number of years ago. I have been told three times I would not see the next year, but I am here nearing eighty. Still building and learning stuff. We have fooled them all. Your footage of the mountains was magical Mitchy. So beautiful and serene. Peace be with you both.
Well happy birthday Steve , Your not alone I'm in my 70s and definitely stuck in the 70's a simpler time for me and life . Hope you guys are having fun .I to live very rural .
We have a ski area here in Michigan that lets you ski for free when you turn 70. Imagine my surprise when I went to get my ski pass at the ticket booth and asked for the senior discount. The lady looked at my drivers license and said you're not a senior, you're a "Super Senior". (Since I was 75 at the time.) So I ski for free. So, like Steve, I didn't expect to live this long. But it does have some perks. Such as these "Smiley Sundays" you provide. Even the "Quickies" are pretty damn nice to see. Thank you and your "Love" for sharing. Looking forward to the "Party". I expect there will be a few K-9 guests involved.
Steve and I have things in common. I, too, turned 70 this year and look back at the 70's as some of the best years of my life. My friends, the music, my hometown. What a different world it was.
I grew up in the 70’s definitely a less chaotic time as a kid. The only thing we worried about was being happy for snow days and having our homework done. I’m 56 now and miss those calmer days no cell phones no way for anybody to get in touch with you days where you can go out by yourself and your friends and be gone all day riding your bikeand not being worried about being kidnapped or harmed

Congrats to Steve celebrating 70th birthday! I’m at 72 and think I’m 40!!! My body does remind me. Enjoyed watching y’all do some skiing, beautiful. Progress is coming together on the Fort, like the box for the wood you made and extending the metal down the floor. Looks good. Little by little, Brian
Tell Steve that I say 70 is the new 85! Having myself already gotten to my 77th it still will be filled with adventure and that much needed anti-aging tonic of laughter. Huzzah for Steve, still trekking after all these years. I mentioned it before but the way Leroy "checks in" with you is positively endearing, you can tell he is enjoying his new found adventures and love. What a lucky hound dog. I love the sheet metal behind the stove and the black wood box finishes the cozy look. Yay YOU! .
Hi Nancy! Leroy is a darling. I trained him to come back to me often, in preparation for spring/summer/fall of this year. lol. I always have my pockets full of Sundays dehydrated food, so it’s always a positive experience coming back to see mommy. ❤ we are, however, battling his fear of Steve which has become worse ever since his surgery Dec 18th. He’s incredibly paranoid about him in the house, growls and barks when he hears his voice or if he’s in the same room as him. It set him so far backwards we’re just so sad about it. Poor poor guy must have seen quite a bit of abuse in his previous life. Steve is doing amazing for 70, and it’s definitely the new 80-ish 😊. You can speak to all of that too!!❤
@@michygoss7148 ..so sorry about Leroy.. I have a cat, Nevelle, the only boy in our group of five cats.. all adopted and each with a different personality.. @OnTeIeG-ram_michygoss_7148 Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your videos of you and Steve, and your happy family of dogs. My daughter and I have six cats and two dogs all rescued.
A door loves a door stop, like a pirate loves his peg leg. As a retired carpenter I loved seeing you finish your door. As we used to say in the 70's... "Keep on keeping on"!
We'll take the quick ones too lol! Just lets us know you're well and OK. But yes, editing takes much longer than one would think. But for me, I always enjoyed the editing since that's where a lot of the magic takes place. I always enjoy the way you put yours together and how you manage to cover many things in each video yet has a flow that's enjoyable. I've enjoyed many cups of coffee with you!!! Give Steve a hug for us and happy 70's my friend. I enter the 80's tomorrow. So we're Capricorns! ❤❤🎵🎵
I actually love editing too! I never thought I would, but I do. The week goes by so quickly, so sometimes I don’t feel ready to put the video together. Happy Birthday Steve. 70 looks good on you. Im sure Michy keeps you young, must be the quickies. Just bugging you. Looks like you folks have a great life. Thanks for the new video!
Congrats to Steve on his 70th! I hope I have his stamina when I reach his age. Fort is looking great! Yes we do look forward to each installment in the Michygoss saga, and don't ever worry that "it's not interesting enough" or "there's not enough for a full episode". Even a few minutes of the dogs will satisfy! Keep on keeping it real. All the best and "Cheers!" from Ontario.
Hi Michelle! Your guilty feelings about your dogs are a good sign of your great capacity for compassion and empathy toward them. 🐕🐕 Having said that, from time to time, you need to give full attention to the big dog Steve. 🐶 By the way, happy birthday 🎈🎉🎊🍰Steve! 🐶 And always remember, she loves ❤🔥you❣
@@michygoss7148 That's a good call. I understand the idea was for both of you to enjoy the moment and not worry about the dogs' safety during the ski trail. Thanks for taking the time to respond and sharing part of your life.
Because of the amount of knowledge, planning skills and the magnitude of the life time projects, I knew Steve was on another level, and now I know why. 70 years old, a lot of wisdom. His energy levels are incredible and he is in very good shape. I take my hat off to him. You are incredible too. Continue to listen to him and follow his guidance. You two are such a nice couple!
Woah, wait, Steve is 70!! Wow, I turn 54 today and honestly thought he and I were a similar age! I am stuck in the 80s which was my childhood, the best time. Hats off to Steve, happy birthday and congratulations to the both of you, love is a great treasure indeed!!
Happy birthday Steve! My sweetie also turned 70 last year and I'm in my 40s;) he also defies time! And still logs and processes all his wood for his home! Which is the sole heat source! He amazes me and I'm very thankful as well 💕 last year I started building a 8x18 cabin on wagon running gear a half mile from my sweeties house, as a sort of fort, a sanctuary for art and such. the wood was harvested from the land and milled by a neighbor. I have never built anything, but it's been a beautiful journey and you're videos have given me a boost when I needed it! Thank you! P.s I did a bad job in the first door install, decided to move the door ( also reclaimed) and built a doorjamb etc from scratch! It's a whole thing! ( Challenging, lol) I'm in the mountains of VT, USA and have been working on it when I can, but am officially getting the woodstove up and running this week so I can work longer and happier. Thanks again 💗
HAPPY 70th STEVE. What a thoughtful idea for Steve's birthday. Great job coming up with all the finishing plans for the fort, looking great. I'm 75 and somehow stuck in the 60's. Thank you for the video.
Good Day 🌅, Happy Birthday 🥳 Steve, you are a very special person, and have someone like Michy who is so special to and younger than you helps to keep you filling younger as well, being loved by each other definitely means a special relationship, I thought that I had found someone too, she end up, wanting and wanting more I gave her, I was just being used, I will be 3 years old then you in a few weeks time, It was great to see you both out enjoying the countryside, beautiful scenery, and I bet when the dogs finally come out, they enjoy it too, I’m not telling you what to do , but it might be worth putting a piece of wood across the bottom edge of the door, so it sticks out over the threshold, so when it pulls down the rain or snow, it won’t run down the door and go inside, you will have to try and figure out the angle you’ll need to cut the piece of wood on the door closing inside as it needs to have a bit of relief on it, I hope this can help, And please be careful of your chest hairs as you might find them get caught up in something , might be worth grooming them a little bit. You have the right tools as you have animals to look after., or you could even get Steve to do it for you, 😮😂, Wishing you both a happy and prosperous New Year , 💔 love and regards from France ⛷️⛷️, Ps , as they say as a many good tune played on a old fiddle, 😂😂😂,
Happy Birthday Steve. I'm right behind you. You're in great shape to keep up with your spring chick ( in :-). Short or long, Michelle, they come from the heart and are a pleasure to watch.
The snowscape is utterly stunning; Steve is the embodiment of living a good, happy and fulfilled life; and your compulsions are heartwarming. Short but sweet 😊
Very satisfying video! The whole thing, everything about it, just really hits home. Im 73, everything in your videos was very cool. Absolutely loved seeing your little hideout and watching you work on it. Brought back a lot of memories. Y'all are living the life. Building a place like that becomes a very personal journey. All the little extra things you do to give it character and the satisfaction you're getting as you do the work are pretty far out! Listening to you talk was also very cool. You have a beautiful calm caring voice. The back drop to your video was incredible! Anyway Y'all, blessings to you all and to your critters. Peace & Love fills your lives.
More great happy memories captured in time on Steve's special week. Happiness is one day at a time. Now living in always sunny and warm arizona, i do miss the frequent backcountry and downhill skiing back home in oregon.
Dear Michygoss 👍👌👏 Congratulations 🎉 and happy birthday to Steve. 🎂🎈 I would have never guessed that he could turn to be 70yo already. At max I would have given him 65 but much rather 60. All the sports you two do seem to be the right recipe to stay fit. And, of course, who would denie that, a beautiful young wife helps a lot too (not meant to be disrespectful!). 2) The stove area is looking much better now. The gaps around the door are closed now too. Well done. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to both of you and your dogs. Post Scriptum: Please kindly allow me to suggest something: If something like this happens to one of your vehicles again, try to bring power directly to the starter solenoid. By bridging the solenoid and the starter you make sure, that not something else is wrong with the electrical system.
Way to go Steve - 70! I can tell you are an intelligent man and thus successful during your life. I am not far behind you. I graduated high school in 1974 and those were great times. How time flies. :)
Michelle, your footage is beautiful and certainly long enough to carry us through the week. Happy Birthday Steve. Hugs and kisses to all the critters. Thanks for Sharing! 🙃🙂
That's some elixir vitae Steve's been taking! Happy Birthday young man! (I can say that as I've recently entered my 78th year!). You're so imaginative Michelle! Your quest for more embellishments on your lovely fort always leaves me smiling.
Steve I've got you by 10 years and still self employed and active, so you are just getting started, keep the faith... Thank you Michele ? ( lol I can't spell your name) for making adventures for old geezers like myself to live in the wild through you. ❤❤❤ priceless!
I agree with Steve .... I didn't think I would live this long .... especially using up all my nine lives in one way or another🙃 Happy Birthday Steve, and many more, from one 70 yr old to another👍🏻🎂Everybody should build a fort, at least once in their life. I made a few way back when, but they were nowhere as elaborate as yours. Hope you and Steve are having a wonderful weekend .... take care🎿🐕🐕🐕✌🏻🌲🌲
WOW, he doesn't look 70, I would've never thought he was over 58 or 60. Happy birthday, keep doing what you're doing, you look great. Blessing to you two
Even the quickies are great. Happy birthday to Steve. Seems like he’s living his best life in the 2020’s! Love the fort progress and the floating look of the new wood box. Thank you for sharing all you do with us; really appreciate all the time and thought you put into your projects and video making.
Good looking ladder 😉 happy birthday, Steve! We have a ski club in Minnesota and they all have patches on their coats that say OVER 80. You got a ways to go, kid xo💚
Congratulations Steve, you made it to 70 without Michelle killing you! I’ll be joining you on February 7th. The 70s club! I 100% agree that laughter is the best medicine. However, my wife sometimes says there is a limit to how much laughter she can endure! There’s one thing I told her many years ago, I may grow old, but I will never grow up! Keep the videos coming, they are great and I enjoy them all!
I too will turn 70 this year. Steve is right the 70’s were the best decade. ( after all they did name a show after that decade). So happy birthday Steve we get to celebrate the 70’s again! lol
Happy Birthday Steve!! I'm only 7 years behind you, and seems like I got here pretty fast until I think back to all I've been through to get here. So glad you all got the ATV going again, and know it has got to be a relief for both of you to have that going again. You're so creative Michelle, and I always enjoy watching you figure things out, and getting things done, like I'm guessing most of us do, though maybe not with your flair and humor. You all stay safe and warm up there! From down here in KY, with some snow/cold but not near as much as you all have!😘😘
Happy Birthday Steve! Michelle, ya know it takes a lot of extra work to make things look aesthetically pleasing… great job on the fire box and carved 2x4s!❤
Well for a short video Michy you got a lot done. Happy Birthday to Steve like a fine wine you only get better!!!! The scenery at start was awesome snow covered trees was beautiful. Glad you guys were able to get away and enjoy some skiing. While tough not to have pups with you at that time. You know they are loved and safe at home. And they got chance to go skiing later. Did great job on tweaking fireplace look great and as usual came up with great fix on front door. Looking forward to the party. Stay warm and safe 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just joined the 70 club in Dec myself. I can relate to the "living, Stuck in the 70's" Happy Birthday! I would propose that you dear are his energy machine!
I enjoyed this! I know well that feeling of guilt when leaving the four-legged family members behind while out on an adventure. Happy Birthday month, Steve! The 70s were special in SO many categories of our lives. Do what you love and love what you do.
Happy Birthday Steve🍥. Such beautiful snow filled mountains. Michelle, you make every video more beautiful with beauty and simply a never ending completion of how your place looks to you. What you did to normal 2X4 was great with each knife cut. A distressed board will always fit on in a cabin. Big hugs from Santa Barbara. 🫶🤗😘🌹🍷🙏👋
Great video even if it is shorter than others. Happy belated birthday to Steve. Looking great at 70 years young. Enjoy those trails and slopes while they are in such great shape. Love the new set up for the fort stove too. Great work as always.
Hey Steve, I just turned 71 in December. It's not that bad when you consider the alternative. You must be a wonderful person to have captured the heart of your lovely wife, Michelle. I'm fairly certain you both "spoil" each other. Lucky couple. And Michelle, thank you so much for your self sacrificing kindness and love toward God's sweetest creatures. What a beautiful heart you have. Dogs are people, too. They've just had all the bad stuff removed. One suggestion tho, you need to build a moonshine still out in the forest or cliff cabin. That way, you'll have a genuine purpose for spending more time there, lol.
Michelle tell Steve welcome to the best decade for life l. I'll be 73 next bday and given good health, I can say that living in my 70s is absolutely freeing a wonderful. You'll have a great time this decade, I'm sure. ❤
Happy birthday to Steve! I am 74 and look it. LOL! Behind every great man is an even greater wife, I say. You are so talented Michelle. Love your videos! greeting from the Arrowhead of MN.
Hey Steve, Happy Birthday, but I hit 76 last July and didn't believe it either. I'm so blessed and hope to make it to at least 80. I happen to have a wonderful and beautiful "youngster" wife by my side, (she's only 74), but looks and acts Michygoss's age! I'd say that we're blessed to have such wonderful wives in our lives! May more to you young man!!!
Happy birthday Steve! I thought you are mid fifty, so big surprise when Michelle said you turned 70. Stay happy and healthy and enjoy everything you achieved during your life and having such a beautiful and talented wife on your side. Greetings from Germany!
It is crazy but my wife and I have such a hard time going anywhere without our dogs with us, so I can hear what you’re saying about being guilty not taking them skiing. Happy Birthday to Steve and as always love the videos.

I’m not telling you what to do , but it might be worth putting a piece of wood across the bottom edge of the door, so it sticks out over the threshold, so when it pulls down the rain or snow, it won’t run down the door and go inside, you will have to try and figure out the angle you’ll need to cut the piece of wood on the door closing inside as it needs to have a bit of relief on it, I hope this can help,
And please be careful of your chest hairs as you might find them get caught up in something , might be worth grooming them a little bit. You have the right tools as you have animals to look after., or you could even get Steve to do it for you, 😮😂,
Wishing you both a happy and prosperous New Year , 💔 love and regards from France ⛷️⛷️, Ps , as they say as a many good tune played on a old fiddle, 😂😂😂,
Happy Birthday Steve, I would have never thought you would be 70 after watching you work and play! Congratulations 🎉🎈
Beautiful scenery! Some amazing terrain you two have there.
Happy Birthday, Steve. Hope you had a wonderful 70th birthday celebration with your wife. :)
Happy Birthday Steve. I'm right behind you. You're in great shape to keep up with your spring chick ( in :-). Short or long, Michelle, they come from the heart and are a pleasure to watch.
The country side is so beautiful. Thank you both for sharing your life adventures with us all. May God's Blessings continue to be with you both.
I love that you refer to it as a fort. Not a tiny home, nor a mini cabin but a playful fort in the woods.
Dear Michygoss
👍👌👏 Congratulations 🎉 and happy birthday to Steve.
Ski tourin' Steve! Cheers man, best way to stay young, hiking for your turns!
Your mountain views are spectacular !!!! And Happy B Day old boy!!!
That's some elixir vitae Steve's been taking! Happy Birthday young man! (I can say that as I've recently entered my 78th year!). You're so imaginative Michelle! Your quest for more embellishments on your lovely fort always leaves me smiling.
Thanks, Michelle for another Sunday entertainment, happy birthday to Steve, anyway have a wonderful day and a beautiful week until next time.
Steve I've got you by 10 years and still self employed and active, so you are just getting started, keep the faith... Thank you Michele ? ( lol I can't spell your name) for making adventures for old geezers like myself to live in the wild through you. ❤❤❤ priceless!
@michygoss_7148_OnTeIeGra.m I've fell for this once already on a different channel
What a Blessing you must be for Steve. I too am Blessed!
Good looking ladder 😉 happy birthday, Steve! We have a ski club in Minnesota and they all have patches on their coats that say OVER 80. You got a ways to go, kid xo💚
That truly beautiful country. The views you’re showing, unbelievable.
Well, Happy Birthday to Steve then. I hope you will have a Great party there.❤
Congratulations Steve, you made it to 70 without Michelle killing you!
So happy birthday Steve we get to celebrate the 70’s again! lol
Happy Happy to Steve. A quickie works. Thanks for sharing the adventure
From down here in KY, with some snow/cold but not near as much as you all have!😘😘
Beautiful scenery -very calming Happy Birthday Steve
Awesome video! Happy birthday, Steve. 👍😎🇨🇦❄️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
What awesome backcountry pictures. Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday Steve! Michelle, ya know it takes a lot of extra work to make things look aesthetically pleasing… great job on the fire box and carved 2x4s!❤
Happy Birthday Steve! I'm 4 months behind you till my 70th. Cheers and Best Wishes from NC! 🙂
It looks like you and Steve had a great time. Happy birthday, Steve! Sometimes I miss the snow, but I don’t miss the temperatures. ❤️❤️🎂🎈
I enjoyed this! I know well that feeling of guilt when leaving the four-legged family members behind while out on an adventure.
Happy Birthday month, Steve! The 70s were special in SO many categories of our lives.
Do what you love and love what you do.
Happy Birthday 🎂 Steve. Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery at the beginning and “ThePack” .
Happy birthday Steve. You are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful place. And to have an incredible talented wife 😀😀
Happy Birthday to Steve! Rounding off the 2X4s was a great idea. The white paint was a nice touch as well!
Happy Birthday Steve, I remember the good old days too.
Happy Birthday Steve 🎂 Stay safe and take care Michelle ad Steve 👍🏻Appreciate you always my friends 🙏🏻 God Bless 👋🏻Hi Pups 🐾and 🐈⬛ too 😊
Happy birthday to the one of a kind STEVE!

Happy birthday to Steve! I am 74 and look it. LOL! Behind every great man is an even greater wife, I say. You are so talented Michelle. Love your videos! greeting from the Arrowhead of MN.
Happy Birthday Steve… I also have hit 70 and definitely don’t feel my age. All the best to you both. 👍🇨🇦 Naramata
Seventy sounds like a good number. I'll get there this coming November and want to stay as active as Steve. Happy Birthday and have a blessed year!🎂🕯
Hey Steve, Happy Birthday, but I hit 76 last July and didn't believe it either.

Happy birthday Steve. Beautiful snow scenery
