Zebra Finch fledglings!

Ross and Wind’s two little babies decided the coldest day of the season was a good day to fledge. 🥶 Their parents tried to lead them back to the nest in the afternoon but I ended up helping one.
Look at the white spots on that baby! This is Promise’s granddaughter and she has white, too!

It has been so cold I didn’t want to announce their arrival prematurely. 😌 But even though the big birdbaths in the yard were all frozen today, none of the four small ones in the finch aviary were. 👍🏽
I love hearing the babies beg real loud and strong for food. At about 3:00, back in the nest, they’re going nuts!
