You are a beacon for a community that is constantly battling misinformation online. Thank you for sharing this private part of your life with us- cancer is scary. Sending much care and strength for your fight.
We have all trusted you for years to help our community learn grow and feel seen and loved. It's so beautiful that you've trusted us to share this news at such a vulnerable and scary time. And remember what you always tell us - you're stronger than you imagine! 💜💜💜
If there is ANYTHING i can do to support you and Caz, please give me a shout. I have no words, just sadness, tears, and anger that this has happened to you. 💔💔. You've got this, though, Mike. You have so many people who love you and will walk with you every step of the way. All that strength you taught me throughout my therapy, i now wish to share with you. Take care, and I'm sending my love to you both. Xx
Dear Dr Lloyd, I was very shocked when I saw the title of the new video. I have taken you to my heart, I am impressed by your expertise and the fact that you are so and respectfully friendly. I am affected myself and I am also a doctor. I think you are very brave to make this video to possibly save another life. You will succeed, and that is exactly what you need with this strength and courage!!. But please think about it all yourself now! many people are thinking of you with all their best wishes and prayers. I am grateful that you were diagnosed at an early stage, so that you can receive treatment quickly. I send YOU ALL strength, love and support from Germany ❤❤❤
Oh Mike!! I am so sorry to hear this and so sorry you have to go through this. Thank God you persisted and they found it early. As a nurse of 33 years, please believe me when I say that you are in the best hands possible and the treatments are highly effective nowadays. Please keep us updated. I love you and your channel. ❤❤❤❤
I'm so sorry Dr. Mike, my dad had Prostate Cancer in 2009, and with surgery and radiation, he's still hanging around, healthy as an ox. You can beat this! Sending massive amounts of good and healing vibes.
Dear Dr. Mike Loyd! Thank you for showing us a small part of your life - your vulnerable side at the same time. I'm sure that takes a lot of courage right now and a lot of strength. I wish you continued strength, hope and confidence in these difficult times. Take care of yourself! Thank you for your brilliant work and the courage you have given others. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, from Switzerland. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Your kindness over the years in explaining DID and Complex trauma has helped me so much! Thank you for sharing your diagnosis with us and for being vulnerable. Sending you healing thoughts.
Sending you love and prayers, Mike. In this house we scream "f*ck cancer" from the top of our lungs. Please know you have all of our support for whatever comes on this journey
Dr Mike, we will be lifting prayers and sending love across the pond to you. And your wife and family. Such a scary thing even if it is very treatable. We do hope you are able to keep doing your videos as they do bring facts into the conversation and lessen stigma. We also would be very sad to not know how you are faring with your journey. Even though we haven’t met in person, you almost seem like a friend. Take great care and kick cancers *ss!
Mike, please know how absolutely loved and appreciated you are. So many of us here find great help and comfort from your work. If making these videos gives you comfort, I’m happy to watch them and pass your message along to the menfolk in my life. ❤️
Sending healing thoughts and prayers to you Mike! Thank you so much for sharing something so personal with your audience! I've watched all your videos and have found them so very helpful for myself!! Being diagnosed with cancer is a terrifying thing, but can have very good results. I have a male friend who had been diagnosed many years ago, also with prostrate cancer! They put in irradiated 'seeds' in his prostrate and he has done great! I was diagnosed with Metastatic Brest Cancer in 3017. Had spread to lymph nodes in my armpit. I had the tumor removed, as well as many lymph nodes in my armpit. Also went through chemotherapy and radiation treatment. I am currently at 8 1/2 years cancer free so far! There was a lot of cancer in my family but I'm still here! Take care of yourself, body, mind and spirit! We are here for you!! Love you!!
Keep talking to us. We are all here for you!!! Lean on us as we have leaned on you all this time. Sending you hugs and prayers. (KC hat ❤) We love you Dr. Lloyd.
This hit hard. We consider you at the very least a member of the community you support through your words and deeds. Hearing about this was like hearing about it from a family member, and I really couldn't care less if that's parasocial or not. You are very brave for opening up about this and spreading awareness. Hope keeps people alive. We're all rooting for you
So glad to hear that you've caught it Mike. So helpful for the world for you to share this online. We hope that you have enough close friends that you can release with them first. So frustrating that the first biopsy missed it. Men men men 💪 Arrrr your respect for the medical staff is lovely. You are allowed to be sad and to grieve.
Dear Dr.Lloyd, thanks for your oppenness and sharing such a personal video. I wish you lots of strength for the coming weeks and the best treatment and all you need just now. Take care.
Thank you for your vulnerability. We are all survivors here, this body has survived cancer as well. You are scared because you are human, and because it matters. Your humanity has always been your greatest gift to us, we hope that you experience that now from your providers. Know that you matter, and we are grateful for your existence. We'll be holding you and your health in our thoughts with love
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I'm sure your courage in being vulnerable will convince many to get the tests they need as well. You're such a huge source of education and comfort to me in learning about dissociation. Myself and other parts in my system watch your videos all the time and it has greatly improved our understanding of ourselves. I am thankful you have chosen to dedicate your life to helping those of us who struggle with the immense difficulties of trauma and dissociation. You have surely touched many lives with your healing words. Now it's our turn to send strength and healing your way. You've got this, you can fight it, and we support you, take great care Dr Mike! 💛
Your clinic's videos have been invaluable to me over the last few years. Sometimes the videos come right on time, on just the right topic. My dad had prostate cancer, and he got treated and has been in remission for quite a long time. We expect that he'll be with us for a long time yet. Sending you warmth and courage. Thank you for everything. We're all rooting for you!
This brought me so much sadness and pain for you. I’m so sorry you are going through this. You have been a huge support through my journey of discovering my dissociative disorder and literally your videos have saved my life. I am sending you every good vibe I have and hoping for you that this whole process goes smoothly. You are so brave to share this with us and the world. Here’s to being cancer free as soon as possible and smooth recovery after every procedure. You got this Mike and all of your followers are here to support you too :)
I’m so sorry Mike. Your vulnerability in this video really moved us. Even at the worst of times you are still showing up to help encourage others to take care of themselves! It’s a tribute to your humanity. Please know that you have thousands of little people (& me), wishing you well and sending up prayers. Please take care of yourself.
My heart goes out to you. Thank you so much for everything you do, you've changed lives and I'm so so thankful you've been proactive with your health and will be bringing up proactive health measures with my family as well ❤
It's normal and perfectly valid to be scared. Thank you for sharing, you are so right that it might help others. But also, I hope sharing your story will help you to deal with this. You and your videos are so important to me. Please take care of yourself and thank you so much for your candor.
Please take good care of you. Your vulnerability to share your journey is more than okay. It's helpful in normalizing the uncertainties of life and emotions that go along with it. Prayers for your healing journey.
All this time that you’ve been caring for us, you’ve been dealing with your own stuff. You’re such a good person. I’m so sorry you have to go through this. We will hold you in our hearts.
Thank you so much for sharing this and being so vulnerable. Wishing you best of luck during your recovery process. Wanted to be another voice in the crowd expressing gratitude for what you do and how important and appreciated it all is. 🍀
Doctor mike First off, i'm so sorry! I can't imagine what you are going through. Thank you for sharing that. That must have been extremely difficult. You don't know what your channel has meant to me and my system. We have learned so much. We have been so blessed. I love you, dear brother. I will pray for you. Blessings, From ontario canada 🇨🇦
I'm not someone who leaves comments on videos but i wanted to say that i wish you the absolute best and well wishes on your health, I've recently been diagnosed with DID but months before then I was watching your videos. they've given me incredible insight and reassurance that my experiences are normal and that I'm a person worthy of compassion. I wish you a very speedy recovery and sending lots of love!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Sending you strength and positivity during this difficult and challenging time. Please know that so many people care and are rooting for you. It's really courageous of you to share something vulnerable as that online. Thank you for your authenticity. Greetings from Germany
Many prayers Dr. Mike. Keep educating and self advocating for yourself. May God Almighty in Christ lead you, guide you and uphold you and bring you complete healing 💙🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💙💞Thank you for sharing. Be Well.
Hi there! I hope everything turns okay to you. You helped and are helping so much people, its now time to let people help you through this. I wish you the best of the outcomes❤
I am so very sorry to hear this news. 💔 You have a whole community rallying behind you Mike! You have been an invaluable contributor to the DID community, and we send you very deep heartfelt thanks for the work you do. We will join you for this journey too, just as you have joined us for ours. Thank you for your openness and authenticity in sharing an important message of awareness about prostate cancer and checks. This isn't a pleasant journey, but this is one you can do- and you are not doing it alone. Sending lots of care and well wishes your way! 💜✨
Thank you for being so transparent and vulnerable towards us, for sharing your feelings and state of mind with us. We thank you for your approachable nature, your warmth and honesty.
Life is so hard when it throws these curveballs. You are a kind giving man, even now, I cried through this video. It's awful news but it sounds like have a brilliant team and you're going to be okay and come out on the other side. Bless you, Dr. All the best to you and your loved ones. We need you here, Doc!
Cancer,as a word sends a generic message, but it's way too broad. The different types yield different responses to treatment. It's like mental illness, in that some respond to treatment and others take longer. Prostate has a remarkable response rate and my thoughts are with you Dr Mike. Life is a rollercoaster and you are sure to see this through with all our support ❤️
Hello Dr Mike. It means so much that you're willing to be vulnerable on an open platform like this. You've laid my soul open with your work, and I've cried during numerous CTAD videos, but I don't think I ever cried with you. You've been there for my entire journey through diagnosis and treatment, through all the fear and terror and uncertainty, and I hope you know that all of us are here for you too as you face those same emotions from a different source. You're gonna fight this and you're gonna win. This time it's your turn to take great care :) 💙 - The Orin System
Dr. Mike, thank you so much for sharing this with us. I'm not very good with words, but I hope you can find lots of support both irl and here, with your audience. As for if your videos will help men get checked: I'm sure it will, that's a certainty! I'm definitely going to spread the word!
I'm so sorry about hearing about your cancer diagnosis, Mike. I hope you get well and recover as soon as possible. My prayers and sympathy are with you in this difficult time.
I'm so sorry Dr. Lloyd, this must be so difficult to carry. You're an amazing person who truly helps and cares, I wish nothing but the best for this coming period of your life. Going to stay and support and follow along. Take care of yourself.
Good afternoon. I speak to you from Spain. Your videos have helped me a lot to overcome PTSD and autism. a lot of strength I wish you the best doctor. very hard news for you.
Hi Dr Mike. Thank you for allowing us to be with you in your journey to healing physically and emotionally. I don't know about your relationship with a higher power. I believe that God the Father is in your presence and I pray for healing, comfort, wisdom, strength and courage be provided to you and your family during this journey. I had a friend in your very position in preparation for a mission trip. I believe that he was also at stage 2. Mike is very alive and one would never know what he faced without an open conversation. I am praying the same for you. You encourage and educate trauma survivors everyday and hope that you will find that some of your previous messages will also be an encouragement to you. Please take good care of you knowing that you are in the thoughts and/or prayers of so many you have served through who you are and what you share.
I am devastated for you. It sounds like it was caught early, which is great. How can we support you through this? Please know that is you have to take a sabbatical from UA-cam to focus on your health, we as your audience surely understand and support you. You've been such a beacon of light to so many, including us. ❤
Sending you so much healing energy Dr. Lloyd ❤ you always tell us to take good care of ourselves so I’ll wish you the same. Kind, gentle, and easy does it as you undergo treatment. 💛
Dr. Lloyd You are a wonderful leader in so many ways. Thank you for contributing your personal news. It touches us all. I remember being diagnosed with cancer, and it was a very ungrounding experience. I was told not to overreact by the news, which is the worst thing anyone can say. Absolutely, allow yourself the full range of whatever you’re feeling. Sharing that with this audience can only benefit us. I applaud your courage to investigate the possibility of cancer, as well as your decision to share that with others. I send you my best wishes. 😊
Thank you for sharing this with us, and in such a vulnerable way. Your channel has been life-changing for us and how we approach DID, and we can't emphasize enough how much we appreciate you being here. Fuck cancer. Hopefully this battle is short and successful!
I'm sorry you are going through this. Medicine is on our side. Take gentle care... and thank you for doing what you do. Your videos have made a difference in my life (I live with a dissociative disorder and you give me language to explain my experience). Sending gentle thoughts of healing and health.
Hi Dr. Lloyd: Please know that I have lifted prayers for you that the Lord heal you and bless you and that you lean on Him. I want you to know that I have benefited tremendously from your videos both from the information you so generously provide and from your great compassion for the community of individuals that suffer from dissociative symptoms. God bless you.
Thank you for choosing to share your frightening news. Please know you have my prayers for your full recovery. And thank you for your kind care of the ducks. Take great care of you❤.
Thank you for speaking out and showing your vulnerable side. Sounds silly but sometimes it’s easy to assume a mental health professional doesn’t have their own problems etc. ps will defo be asking my 52 year old husband to look into this.
Thank you for being so brave, sharing at such a vulnerable time... you've been incredibly thoughtful sharing with what's happened, getting others to think about these issues etc Sending lots and lots of strength, hope and, as you always say to us, do take care of yourself... it's ok to have time out to focus on you in these moments! Keep strong Dr Mike!
Thank you. As a cancer patient, I appreciate how difficult it was for you to share that. I am thankful you will continue to share this journey with us. Sending energies of peace, healing, and love to you and your family.
Your work helped me a lot. Especially in the times before I found my therapist. Thank you so much! Now I wish you the best professionals on your side, to guide you through this. I am sending love and all best wishes to you and your loved ones. ❤
Hi Dr. Mike- thank you for courageously sharing this with us. I pray for the best outcome possible for you. Cancer diagnosis is really nerve wracking and when I see you scared it helps me to see you more fully as a person and somehow it adds extra meaning to all the work that you do. I don’t have a way to support you except writing this, and encouraging others (and myself) to get their health exams, which I promise to do.
It is so ok to share that and it's more than ok to be emotional about it. thanx for sharing and for beeing such a wonderful person. be sure to have our mental support during that challanging time. ❤
It's very good that you were keeping a close eye on it, and caught it early. Cancer, and cancer treatment, is scary. Thank you for sharing how you are feeling and showing that sometimes bravery looks like tears and a shaky voice. You are helping so many people with your openness. ❤
Hi Dr Mike, My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry this is happening. I think it's great that you asked to be checked out and that you have been monitored for the last couple of years, because it's enabled the medical team to catch it early. They have said that the cancer is highly treatable, so that's important to hold on to. Thank you for your courage and bravery in making the video. I am thinking of you and wish you all the very best in the months ahead.
Hugs! Take the time you need to do what you need to do. This is a time to give yourself permission to be a bit selfish. It is the stories we hear about how bad the treatments can be BUT the treatment advances in just the past 10 years are amazing and not as hard on the body. Generally scarier if you rarely had major medical bouts in past, glad you are turning this into a helpful post for others. It will get better after the dark and you have a great group of people who love and support you! Early testing is a godsend, scary as hell but early action means minimal invasive treatments. Men, please, check yourself for breast cancer also.
You’re so right in being checked, even though it’s unpleasant. I’m not a man so I’ll never know that particular discomfort, but I’ve had gastroscopies and a colonoscopy with biopsies and they are not fun. Take as much time as you need and enjoy your ducks. Feeling scared is okay, it’s human. Please remember that we’re all here appreciating you and your work. General message: stay safe, and absolutely advocate for your health!
Hi Mike! I am a pelvic floor therapist who works with men going through or who are on the other side of this disease. We are all here for you and rooting for you on a full recovery! You have been there so much to normalize our experiences in life and I hope you are not a stranger now to lean on others for a little normalcy. Feel better soon!!
Hi Dr. Mike, thank you for your vulnerability. You've been a great help to me...I so want to turn it around and be part of your support. My brother-in-law had it many years ago, and he's going strong now still. It's normal to be scared. We're all behind you. Sounds like you caught it early. That's key.
Oh, dear, I was so saddened to hear this. Prayers and good will coming your way from me. You have helped me so much these past couple years and I am eternally grateful for you!
I’m so sorry. I don’t really have adequate words. I am going through a cancer scare myself, and I am terrified. I hope we both fair well. Thank you for showing what it means to be scared and vulnerable with this piece of your life. I think I needed to see this. The community is all with you, so keep us in your pocket.❤
I've learnt so much about myself and the trauma healing process from watching your videos, Dr. Mike. Whenever I see you have a new video out I click on it immediately - even just your friendly presence and the hope you carry is so calming and comforting, if I can't take much in. I am so sorry this is happening to you but I will keep watching along and supporting you all the way. Sending all the love and hope for a speedy recovery ❤❤❤
I am so sad to hear about this. You are a really incredible person, Dr. Lloyd. Thank you for all you do but I hope you can take all the time you need for yourself during this difficult time. I appreciate you talking about this though. It’s wonderful you look out for others so much, and are using this experience to educate others about prevention and early detection. I’m just happy to see you look out for yourself too. I wish you all the best moving forward in your recovery. ❤
Oh wow! I am so sorry you are going through this-and deeply moved by your inclination to help others at a moment when life has become scary and hard for you. I am wishing for the best for you as you navigate through this and will be one of the many, many hearts here in your YT forum that is rooting, praying, and wishing healing thoughts for you.
I'm so sorry you are going through this. But I'm glad you got tested and caught it relatively early. You and your family are in my prayers. Do take extra great care and take time away from this channel as you need it!
Hugs I'm a cancer survivor and just celebrated my 6 year cancer free anniversary. I have videos on my cancer journey on UA-cam. It is hard. That C word carries so much weight. We are here. You are not alone. More hugs ❤️
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I understand how scary this must be. Thank you for sharing it with us. You're an inspiration for me and many others and I'm wishing you all the best with your recovery. And if you need to take off time from UA-cam to look after yourself please do so!!
wow, that is some tough news.... you do so much for us subscribers; it's great to hear you have been vigilant about your own health. the outcomes for this cancer are very good, especially since you've caught it early. i don't know if you'll read this, but as a healthcare worker, i know that a low-sugar diet will help a ton. you can bet you are in all of our thoughts! and thank you for keeping us updated on the personal side of things. witnessing you
What you create with your videos here on youtube has been incredibly helpful in living with dissociation, for many people. Thank you for sharing your vulnerable side with us too. Sending good wishes towards you and hope you will have a full and speedy recovery. 🍀
From Australia. Thank you for sharing. So sorry this is happening for you. For us you are still you. Modelling trust. We've got our therapist in our head ( not literally) saying emotions are not static, not forever, its ok,. Just thought it's a good reminder. Thank you Doc Mike
Thank you so much for your vulnerability Mike! We are praying for you! Our hosts dad had it but he beat it with proper radiation therapy and hormone therapy! Wishing you all the best!
Thank you for sharing this with us, showing us how it is for you, so generous. It's usually the other way round; me in tears watching you looking relaxed and happy, sending you lots of good wishes

Even if no one sees this your videos have changed lives.
I just watched your video. I don't know what else to say except I love you.
I'm so sorry. Sending you so much love and hope for healing.
Dear Mike, blessings on you and your wife at this difficult time. Thoughts with you both ❤

Doctor mike
First off, i'm so sorry!
This time it's your turn to take great care :)

Dr. Lloyd
You are a wonderful leader in so many ways.
I’m so sorry Dr. Mike. Thank you for sharing this and I hope you’ll fully recover. Take care 🙏
I wish you all the best and please rest when you need to. Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable video with us.
Your videos have really helped me, I'm so sorry to read your news, wishing you a quick recovery, take care of yourself x ❤
Praying for you ❤. Hang in there.
Thank you for speaking out about your health scare. I know you must be nervous , I wish you only the best. Cancer is so scary. Love and hugs
Thank you for speaking out and showing your vulnerable side. Sounds silly but sometimes it’s easy to assume a mental health professional doesn’t have their own problems etc.
ps will defo be asking my 52 year old husband to look into this.
Thank you for being so brave, sharing at such a vulnerable time... you've been incredibly thoughtful sharing with what's happened, getting others to think about these issues etc
Sending lots and lots of strength, hope and, as you always say to us, do take care of yourself... it's ok to have time out to focus on you in these moments!
I'm so sorry 😭Sending hugs and a big portion of hope 🫂😿
It is so ok to share that and it's more than ok to be emotional about it.
thanx for sharing and for beeing such a wonderful person. be sure to have our mental support during that challanging time. ❤
It's very good that you were keeping a close eye on it, and caught it early. Cancer, and cancer treatment, is scary. Thank you for sharing how you are feeling and showing that sometimes bravery looks like tears and a shaky voice. You are helping so many people with your openness. ❤
Hi Dr Mike,
My heart goes out to you.
I'm so sorry to hear this news. Thank you for sharing it. All the best and big hug
Please stay well and take any sort of break you need to in order to care for yourself right now. We sincerely appreciate you.
That's key.
Hi Dr Mike. Much love for a did patient from France. ❤❤❤
We are rooting for you Mike… may this curved path be gentle on you with each step towards your recovery.
Much care to you. x
The empathy that you have shown towards autistic people has filled me with joy and now I want to return all this affection.
Big hugs and prayers
Oh wow! I am so sorry you are going through this-and deeply moved by your inclination to help others at a moment when life has become scary and hard for you. I'm so sorry you are going through this. But I'm glad you got tested and caught it relatively early. You and your family are in my prayers. Do take extra great care and take time away from this channel as you need it!
Please take good Care of you, We are here to listen if it helps you.
Hugs
I'm a cancer survivor and just celebrated my 6 year cancer free anniversary. I have videos on my cancer journey on UA-cam. It is hard. That C word carries so much weight.

wow, that is some tough news.... you do so much for us subscribers; it's great to hear you have been vigilant about your own health. the outcomes for this cancer are very good, especially since you've caught it early. i don't know if you'll read this, but as a healthcare worker, i know that a low-sugar diet will help a ton. you can bet you are in all of our thoughts! and thank you for keeping us updated on the personal side of things. witnessing you
What you create with your videos here on youtube has been incredibly helpful in living with dissociation, for many people.
