It baffled me that this movie didn't do well with critics. Ok, so the plot wasn't great, but watching this movie for the plot is like riding a plane for the peanuts. I agree with a comment above. There was so much talent and high quality music in the movie that it more than makes up for the plot. A stage full of legends at the end of this movie. Pure awesomeness.

The movie might not have been all that good, but the music sure as hell was. Just like the first one, they had some excellent talent doing their thing, and it worked pretty well, I'd say. Aretha Franklin came back, you had B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Dr. John, Jimmie Vaughan, Isaac Hayes, Koko Taylor, Blues Traveler, Wilson Pickett, Erykah Badu, and of course, the Blues Brothers Band, which had many legendary musicians. Hate the movie all you want, but damn you if you hate the music that it gave us. Give it to me!
I remember back in college I had to get this soundtrack from my local library just to hear awesome songs from the movie. I love the collective improv by the players towards the end. At the time, I didn't know who Jon Faddis was, but oh man , that soaring xtreme high trumpet playing 🤯 🎺 I was hooked since.
I personally loved this movie first time seeing it as kid, introducing the blues world to me at this time... and I loved it because of the music, which is the best thing in it, otherwise it doesnt have nor that strong story, nor that many funny moments like the original one. Blues will be there forever as it is base of so many styles - rock or RnB are not going to get out of fashion never, I guess, both having roots in blues
Blues doesnt fit into the year 2000. Thats why many ppl dislike the movie. It just depicts that fact. I love Blues and I love the movie, cause it clearly shows that in this modern world, with all its modern types of music, blues looks just oldfashioned and deplaced. Still its a beautiful type of music with great roots and great performers.
The song was written by Frank Guida and Jerry Royster. Guida gave the song to Gary U.S. Bonds, and it became Bonds' first Top Ten hit. That's why the song opens with Bonds singing the first couple of lines.
Don't think i've heard it before, I guess they call this love in first sight

Universal Studios must have people watching You Tube carefully because almost all of the BB2000 clips get yanked not that long after being posted, no matter how many times they try.
We perform this in our The Rockin’ Bluze Brothers Tribute Shows and it is easily the one song that tells our audiences that we are here for some FUN!!
Any link to a video of the performance?
The greatest soundtrack to one of the most underrated films ever.

So glad I was born and raised in New Orleans.
I'm from a city less known for its music and more known for it's food.
I am not too fluent in English but I want to say that I am very happy that there are still people who listen to this music as I do ; D
That's good English. Keep practicing.

the blue is dying but the sound never ( if you are understand )
The reprise parts from the credits where Sgt. Elizando, the Russians, Melvin Gasperon and the white supremacists sing along are missing :(
This is the only good thing to come from this film, so many greats and too many no longer with us.

curtis's son i would say represents the spot of...curtis
Soundtrack is better than the film. I can listen to this soundtrack over and over. The movie was crap. Can't beat the original
Richard Lloyd I Agree, while I don't think the sequal isn't complete crap, I Will say that the Music is AMAZING
IT CERTAINLY WASNT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL HOWEVER IT IS STILL A GOOD FILM!
Its a good movie man your crap xd
The ONLY good thing about the movie to me were the musical numbers. Erykah Badu, Aretha Franklin, etc.
original......Gary Bonds 1960......... song by Frank Guida & Joseph Royster ....jus sharin...
And lots of cars being smashed. That made up for all of it.
@Brilchan It was good movie. It was hard to top the first one though! It ranks number 2 right behind to the first one!
I want a drum cover on this
Hy! Does anyone know wehre is the original version from??? THX :)
But the point is, form the perspective of a film critic it was shit but as a music lover it's awesome.
what happened to the real video? the music is beyond great. but to see the performers would be cool.
Glad I grew up with this before this younger generation became infatuated with racism... Dumb kids have a lot to learn.🍻🦅
Amen. Just what I was thinking
jake could could have seen all this
beatles affiliates in this movie that i know of: Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, am i missing any more?
No, the Blues Brothers was the best ever. The sequel though was pretty cool too.
Did the blues brothers write this song?, and if they did, when did they write it?
Who originally sings this?
Saints coming back from Halftime theme song...
