Why do Americans call it GAS? ITS A LIQUID?
Gas is short for Gasoline, which is a product of refined petroleum. When gas burns, the liquid is not what burns but the gas vapor that begins to evaporate or vaporizes off the gasoline. To be fair, even in Outback Australia you're probably no more than a couple of feet from some tinnies (which contrary to the name are actually aluminium... which we also spell and say correctly here).
Plus, if you're lucky enough to have the right equipment to hang your clothes out to dry on, it also doubles up at night or during the day (for Sunday sesh purposes) as a fundamental piece of equipment for GOON OF FORTUNE.
Also, possibly the thing I'm most proud of, we will also happily make a pool out of basically anything, wheelie bins (this is another thing I'm surprised she didn't have an issue with considering Americans have "trash cans"), ute trays and tarps, a large cardboard box with a tarp in it, an upside down dog house with a tarp in it... basically any solid structure with a tarp in it.
I'm scared to see what happens when she finds out chickens are called chooks, that we don't call prawns "shrimps" and never have, that (if you include soccer) we have 3 different sports codes called football and none of them are anything like American Football, and that thongs are thongs, or pluggers and not flip-flops AND most definitely not jandals.

The reason they call it gas is because lpg is short for liquified propane gas. I do think they should just stick to saying petrol, makes sense.

Unlike a lot of his followers Isaac seems to understand humor. It's not all about insulting someone just for the sake of it..... it's about being tongue in cheek. That's what the Aussie sense of humor is about and why his videos are the way they are.
