Just a random side info, you can actually reach Malaysia (I stopped right then and there) with the Explorer you get from the beginning. Just improve relations with the Kongo and ask for fleet basing rights, let them recover, than go around africa and do the same improving and asking for fleet rights with Kilwa or some other nation. Up here you can navigate around India and reach Malaysia and probably some more so you don´t necessarily need to limit yourself with clicking the missions.
Another side info I made, you can explore all of North and South America with this ( I don‘t own the DCL where you can send your explorer to a mission etc.), well at least their coasts. By this I entered the pacific parts and reached Japan which will give you 10 Prestige by discovering Kyoto.
Why is the Rûm gone!? Could probably be done as a speedrun. Around the World in 80 Years looks like a fun achievement, I actually forgot about it, it's the last custom nation achievement I still don't have.
@@SylveonSimp It's still very doable within the time limit, I just did this this weekend. Colonized Cape and right next to Kilwa (Sofala/Quelimane?). I tried to take loans to Charter a company, but you can't take more than 2 years of debt, then I realized I had to fight Kilwa for the Goa mission (if I didn't want to no-CB somebody in India. The year was already 1498, but it was pretty easy to dump my 2k into mercenaries, barrage a fort with my tech 7 (or ships if Kilwa hasn't killed Mutapa yet), blockaded their (and their allies') capital, then peaced out for Zanzibar. Clicked the missions and got it in November of 1499. It would have been a lot less stressful if I started that war the moment I got claims (back in around 1480 when he finished the Cape mission), instead of fighting Sus & Tunis for Tangiers like it was going to be a long game or something. Or you can roll the patch back to 1.34 and do it without having to do any war at all.
best flagship setup for this in my opinion is the range, fleet speed, and chance of admiral gain skill on mission, the reason for the last one is to hopefully get more manoeuvre pips so the fleet goes as fast as possible during exploring.
Side note on estates: the clergy estate privilege for native assimilation does not effect colonizing speed. It affects the amount of extra goods produced you get from keeping the native population. Very relevant in Africa with large native pops
Oh yes, neither of them have ANY impact for what we are doing, great comment! The only goal of this advisor was making powerpoints, it could have 'art ca modifier' and still matter as much as your discipline
Babasheep or whatever, you know, where you have to destroy Quara Quo (idk how to write it) as aqanulu (still dont know how to write it) before 1480 or so
Hey Zlewikk can you speedrun Almost Prussian Blue . Im curious how much it gonna take for u to survive the beginning by Livonian Order. As for me start as Livonian Order its so much pain in ass . Wanna check ur luck with Poland and Moscovy alliances :D
You made a little mistake at the start, Portugal has a scripted admin ( the prestige one ) advisor lvl2 for half the price. So that's way better to take him
When you have a colonist in a province, you can recall them, and then colonize the province next to them, and cancel the old colony to artificially increase colonial range.
@@SeisoYabai Yeah, it's not like I've done this a few hundred times over the past 10 years of playing this game. Please continue to talk out of your rear end.
What you *can* do, is colonize the adjacent province to remove the -5 "no adjacent" growth penalty, but that's not really worth the travel time in a single-colony-range-race like this, and is only worth it if you actually want both provinces.
Why does everyone make this error? you don't want to colonize the furthest province, you want to colonize the province closest to the furthest sea province you can reach, otherwise you are wasting colonial range twice going in and out.
Made this comment when I saw that you colonize Grain Coast instead of Karou, which I did not realize was 1 unit closer to the grain coast sea zone. I will take the L on that one. However upon further investigation I have discovered that taking St. Helena is not a mistake, because Luanda is so far away from it's sea zone that it cannot reach South Africa.
It's slower in 1.35 because you have to do basically this, then with a quick war against Kilwa. Just build a Galleys to force limit (as long as you have 25% of your limit as Light Ships), and hire a Merc company, then you're good to go. You'll get claims from building to force limit after discovering South Africa, just declare for whatever war goal is convenient. Zanzibar is a fine goal since your galleys + a 100 tradition Explorer (from burger estate privilege click) should easily give you naval superiority, but Sofala will do fine too if you've kept up on military tech.
Afonso de Albuquerque is such a gigachad. Man started it's carreer helping the King conquering cities in Morocco, then leaded the defenses of one of those fortresses, then was sent in wars in India which he won, conquered Socotra, Ormuz, single handledly put the arabian and red seas under portuguese control, took part in the battle of Diu which destroyed the mamelucks, ottomans, guzarat and Calicut fleets with the support of Venetia and Genoa, was governor of the Portuguese India, conquered Goa, conquered Malacca, sent diplomatic missions to Siam, Sumatra, ordered a sucessfull expedition to the moluccas, made contact with china, his ship sunk and he had to survive on an improvied raft, and still made diplomacy with Ethiopia. Wait is 40 years impressive?
You just get gao event and colonise three provinces no?
New series suggestion: trying to save the disaster campaigns that are created when speedrunning like that
He did it once with True heir of Timur
What a idea!
Name it "Coarse Correction" or something like that
He did it too with florryworry roman empire
@@riko_sandokan That was his own run.
So maybe just a little patiance achievement xD?

In new patch/dlc achievment is harder. If you will have India province you must have Zanzibar. Order of mission is changed
i wanted to do the run today and i get caught off guard. now it's much harder

"Where the heart is" seems like a pretty difficult achievement to speedrun and its a region I never play in
It's actually not too bad
*GOTHIC INVASION!* I always wanted to do that one but never got around to it but it seems reasonably hard and very interesting :)
Maybe "Definitely the Sultan of Rum" for the next speedrun
Even back in the days you made this nice memes into the video. Wonderfull

I would like you to try out "In 80 years around the world" for this format. Think it could be quite fun, trying it in less than 80 years.
Thank you for the content, always so happy when I see it!

Correct! The point was that it ewuals more money so more country potential for more expensive advisors etc
You should definitely do Trade Hegemon next.
Que isso mano! Você é o cara!
I found it funny how you start with a half cost admin lv2 advisor and a half cost lv3 diplo advisor and zlewikk decided to upgrade them lol
Who needs money Kappa
I think uniting Islam could be fun as a speedrun
You re by far the best Eu4 player out there, don't you dare losing this SPEED5 tournament😂
How did you enjoy it? :p

Will you do True Heir Of Timur next?
He did it two or 3 years ago. He almost ruined the run and played it as a "Saving your ruined campaigns" to save it. 😃
could you do the Breaking the Yoke achievement, the one for Ryazan
ah yes, fort defense over discipline advisor when you deleted all your forts...

can't wait for 3 mountains!
Please do Holy Trinity (vassalize Teutons, Livonian, and Knights as Papal States)
Would love to see relentless push east. Brutalizing hordes to get deeper into Siberia
Dracula's revenge
Depending on view we are very lucky/unlucky that Zlewikk wasn't ruler of Portugal in that era otherwise the world would be Portuguese. lol
Me: does one achievement every few months
Meanwhile Zlewikk:
Babasheep or whatever, you know, where you have to destroy Quara Quo (idk how to write it) as aqanulu (still dont know how to write it) before 1480 or so
Please do a True Heir speedrun!!
Pretty please - speedrun forming Japan as Ainu :D
Either Norwegian Wood or Foremost Servitor of Jagannath speedrun? Jokes aside, a Relentless Push East :)
Uuu, one of the achievements I did by accident not knowing about it within one of my first ever EU IV runs with DLCs

You can do that one from game start, just get mail access from half of europe

Hi Zlewikk... Could you do "Cotton candy" and "The Buddhists strike back" in one run?
The AQ Qonyulu and Imereti ones are even faster, but Fugger banking is just as fast, it's only that people don't realise it. I did it in 22 years.
I am constantly struggling with Switzerlake at the minute. Would love to see your guide for that
How about: Good King René
Start as Provence, form the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Do “Poland can into space” as speedrun

General Kenobi!
Zlewick: speedrun achievement of steam and challenge
Ludi et history : speedrun how many console commands he can write by memory
You could try to speedrun „Sweden is not overpowered”
Speedrun The Pheasant Strut next
The Third Way as Mzab. I just can't get it started.
New Series idea: Mission speedrun.
Can you speed run Dai Viet’s achievement: Disciples of Englightenment, and try to avoid tearing the country apart?
Poland can into space achivment haha
Better than napeleon speedrun?
Maybe speedrun The Three Mountains.
The Three Mountains pls
Would this make for a healthy start for a campaign or is it not much benefit as you just get a few provinces?
You can use some of the tips from it, but rather focus on NW instead

No you cannot, unless there's a bug I don't know about (very possible). Colonial range is calculated from the nearest *cored* province you own.
