Missed opportunity to have Alien and Mermaid sims able to make their own exclusive nectars as well. Sometimes I wonder if EA remembers Aliens or Mermaids exist.

Except what special ingredients could aliens use to make nectar with? Although with mermaids, they could use kelp to craft their own special nectar that could raise their hydration need.

I was surprised that the nectar crafting station did not come with any upgrades. I remember in The Sims 3 World Adventures, you could upgrade them to have a better hydraulic press. Considering how just about every piece of electronic equipment or machinery in the game have some options for upgrading. It seems like a missed opportunity to make improvements on the nectar station.

Just a tip: to get started making nectar, buy the starter fruits seed packets because they usually have grapes and apples inside and you can get way more than just buying them from the maker itself. Or if you have Seasons, you can buy apples through the phone or seed packets as well.

I like to combine the nectar aspiration with a spellcaster, who is prepping for the riding aspiration. Novice spellcasters can keep temselves clean with spells and as they advance, they can multiply the fine nectars with spells. Works like a charm. :)

  • @Leto85

Nectar is so incredibly overpowered in this game. Not only could I max out my Sim's money with it (selling $105.000 bottles with a 300% increase gave around half a mil per bottle) these moodlets are incredibly, expecially after having completed the complimentary aspiration.
It was my favourite skill in The Sim 3, and it is my favourite skill in The Sims 4.

Perfectionist and Maker traits also benefit from nectar making.
I started with those two and Snob. Then I simply used Copypasto on my most expensive bottle and sold them for 300% profit. I love how this skill compiments other packs as well.

    • @shannonm6118

Though, copypasto bottles are less valuable than the original, it is a quicker method to make new bottles of course.
And when you copypasto a finely aged bottle, the copy is finely aged as well.

What happens when normal sims consume any of the special nectars crafted by occult sims? I assume with the plasma nectar at least, it would make them feel uncomfortable just like the juice you can make with the juice fizzing station from Eco Lifestyle using plasma fruits. Also I feel like they missed a cross pack opportunity by not letting you make nectar out of the bizarre fruit from Strangerville, which can also be juiced with the juice fizzing station.

    • @ashwean

There are a lot of things that have remained all but useless, like the Sixam crops and Mosquito Trap Seeds, and Bonsai Buds. I still don't understand why so many fruits and vegetables can't be put in the fridge. Trash Fruit, Quill Fruit, Huckleberries, and more can't be stored in refrigerators, even though they're obvious food crops. In spite of this, for some reason, Fireleaf can be stored in the Flower Arranging Table.

Apologies Robert! That's something I should definitely have included. I find it to be around a week in game time, give or take a little depending on how it's stored, your sim's nectar making skill and if they've completed the Expert Nectar Maker aspiration.
