What a great story-teller and an amazing scientist!! My deep love for the science that I do can be traced back to when I first saw Prof. Bertozzi's iBiology talk. I have yet to see her in person but already thank her for the inspiration to persist in science and academia.
I am 67 years.Never done science in my life. But though I didn't understand many of the subject matter ,I listened fascinated by the way she spoke ,words spoken so clearly. Congratulations madam I think you really deserve this award.
a great talk that shows how science works, how details are drawn from a variety of sources, learned, accumulated, built upon, and gradually become a whole that moves from the lab to the clinic. I know almost nothing about organic chemistry, but I did learn something about the methods and difficulties of science, and how progress is made in the real world.
This video is beyond inspiring! I am applying for a master's degree in organic chemistry without knowing what to do with my future. This talk really enlightened me, and I am much more confident about it now!!!
I am also a master student in materials science. This video really inspires me about the potential of chemistry and shows me that chemistry is so interesting.
Well I used to be a masters degree student in 2020 in Physics (Astrophysics & Cosmology). But things came to an abrupt end after that. oh the lockdown and pandemic did take a toll on my career.
@@prosantomukerji3931 Prosanto Babu, like to apologise for the late reply as yt hadnt send me any notification. I'm currently residing in kolkata. I actually didnt do phd after my masters as I said things became little complicated in the summers of 2020. I wouldve loved to do further research, nothing like it but fate is often cruel. Now I'm looking for job. Though In India, thats something hard to come by😅 (feel like thats too much info to give in public in youtube, kintu akjon bangali er sathe kotha bole bhaloi laglo🙂)
This speech is one of my life time never listen to Nobel Prize winner before. What a brain, easy talk, details and compassion! Amazed by Dr Bertozzi. I am medical doctor and work in hospital also with cancer patients,it will be amazing if our Great investigator can find more drugs with less side effects!
Remember that chemical reaction in cell requires an enzyme , a macro globular protein molecule with active site , (catalyst ) and a welding (heat) ATP molecule .
Such a treat to listen to the 2022 Laureate of Chemistry, Prof. Carolyn Bertozzi…from this place/podium of the Ultimate honor for scientists and their research… most well deserving honor to Carolyn and her field of research..and, of course, Carolyn presented this talk about Bio-orthogonal Chemistry so beautifully that should be clear even to any non-scientists in the audience. ❤❤ Congratulations to Prof. Bertozzi..🎉🎉🎉
I don't recall a speaker who has made such an effort to recognize all the contributors and in doing so weaved the story of how it all came about. Inspiring.
Even though, i don't understand all of the explanation, but what amazing discovery that ever be found after more than 10 years research. May allah bless me with some of skills to make amazing discoveries one day 💖
Amazing work, and so well explained. Beautiful story, which kept on getting better and better. Loved the Yin yang of showing the complementarity of basic science and Translational research. Sadly if the the research proposal is not translational enough for the funding agency, it doesn't get funded and unfortunately the career of young principal investigators ends at the very beginning.
Greatest pleasure to listen to this incredible and inspiring talk! Only did Chemistry in high school but it really rekindled my excitement for it! We need more basic and solid research like this one!
Functional MRI also images the function and increased metabolism in human organs. Great lecture on how cancer antibodies will someday be able to cure cancer!
Wow….captivating presentation….I’m sure very inspiring!! The importance of recording, sharing , studying , with curiosity and our future emerges much more positive. + technology.
Caroline Bertozzi is just an amazing woman, very cool. At the same time, there is nothing feminine about her and it is this masculine attitude to work that has brought results. To be honest, I really love her 🏳🌈
At some time in the next few years, Centaur AI will have the ability to use Euler's e-Pi-i programming format, to analyse Quantum Chemistry wave-packaging proportioning of resonance probability, holographic projection-drawingperspectiveimages "deduced" from compound reciprocation-recirculation i-reflection, bounded at 1-0-infinity Fluxion-Integral at/by Absolute Zero reference-framing to reconstruct designer chemicals.., ie more than is already well on the way now. In continuity from Laboratories like this, (at a reasonable guess).

Absolutely incredible woman and team! Would love to see her in person someday.
Thank you for everything, I'm a student Narxoz university in Almaty and I m so happy to listen this lecture
such a gift of graceful articulation of the mysteries of the universe unfolding.

You're an inspiration, Carolyn!💖🏳🌈 Such a fantastic storyteller!
Rohan Bhattacharya; She has an amazing story to tell and did an excellent job telling it. Congratulations.

important to say; standing in the way of progress needs articulation too- translation to funding needs help.
@@jakalamanewtown6814 Who is standing in way of progress?
Great wonder so clearly articulated, this woman seems so simply deserving of peak recognition.
Thanks for all your work! The Nobel laureates of the next century will be using your work no doubt!
Go Bears! Prof. Bertozzi adds fuel to the current debate on our campus about 'Cal' versus 'Berkeley' as our name/brand.

Wonderful lecture - the implications for cancer treatment and maybe other brain diseases can be amazing - learned a lot.
Excellent presentation. I use this video to teach grad students how to give a lecture...
Brilliant and articulate. Brava!
You are an inspiration Carolyn! Congrats!
Functional MRI also images the function and increased metabolism in human organs.
Great lecture on how cancer antibodies will someday be able to cure cancer!
So proud of her, not because im doing chemistry stuff but she her finding was so cool.
Such a masterpiece.
really enriched a lot. amazing talk. Thank you.
Such a wonderful person she is!
Well articulated elegantly so bravo!
Excellent speaker.
Click Chemistry! Seems like a new era for Chemists! Tweaking reagents to be react at light speeds to their normal reactive state. Mazel tov 🥳 🥳🎉‼️

Phenomenal talk and an incredible mind
Humble and wonderful scientist!
Grande donna , grazie per il suo contributo alla scienza.
Congratulation to your hard work!Thank you for Nobel Prize lecture❤💚🌍
Thank you so much for the video. Is there any place I can get a script of this lecture?
Thank you Carolyn😊my inspiration, what an amazing storyteller you are🤟
Look forward to listening to this. I like things like this. Intrigued.🥰
What an amazing talk. I'm inspired!
Extremely informative.
Love and respect , dear Chemist . We are in wait more from you in future.

Good luck !
This is very interesting talk I heard before.
Is this more than a signal transducing system ?
Thank you
Great work .

Why don't we just simply introduce a fluorescently tagged sugar?
