Mam, one thing is confusing to me. If a person is alive and wish to name his family members & properties to whom it should be given then it is only possible via WILL document which is registered i think. If he does that then there is no need to do legal heir certificate or succession certificate after his death by his heirs. Correct. Because legal heir certificate or succession certificate is a big headache for legal heirs since first is 0.5% they have to pay and secondly paper ad, and then lawyer fees and more to that is waiting period of close to a Year. If NRI legal heir is there then he or she cant spend that much time in India. Better to do WILL registered document before death and keep it in safe locker.
How to obtain legal heir certificate not Succession certificate from district civil court. Revenue office made legal heir certificate is not accepted by bank in my case.
