Well he technically won the liger let go at one point. But I'm amazed that the liger didn't struggle in the slightest when it held the rope with what looked like one claw, but when it was biting the rope it let go for a few seconds. This is still the best attempt I've seen' there is a whole series of people trying to tug of war ligers.

Fun fact besides rowing which you can’t on a flat surface you’d be able to pull harder if you copied and put the rope in your mouth and pulled backwards with your hands on the ground pulling away and digging your fingers into dirt

A 55kg Presa Canario dog, u must be real strong and have a own body weight of atleast 90kg.
I have a hard time (welltrained at 110kg) holding him when he back and put in his 4WD 😊
So what that cat could do if the Guy also hade straight arms, is pulling his joints.
A tip is to not fully exstend your arms, if the dog/cat makes a role with his neck it can hurt u bad.
I hade a Boxer dog (at only 40kg) doing that to a friend, his shoulder joint was strecht max, with real pain for months.
