The drop on rebel yell really surprised me, and the airtime, I though it was going to be an ehh there and back but the airtime and drop surprised me. Recommend it if you go to kd.

They removed the volcano? I haven't been in years, but I never thought they would remove it. :( It was one of the first true coasters I experienced (my friends dragged me on it the first time, then the second, then the third and fourth times) but I had so much fun. Did they replace it with anything?
This video helped me get over my fear of roller coasters and now I can get on all the aggressive roller coasters at kings dominion with no problems. Flight of fear and dominator are my favorites.

Fully agreed. I freakin' LOVED Volcano. I heard the park had lots of maintenance issues with it though. Too bad they chose to scrap it the way they did.
I remember one time I went to kings dominion when the volcano was still there and they shut the park down because the fire that came out of the ride hit someone😐
I was too small to ride the Volcano when I last went to KD, so I was really hoping to ride it once I got bigger. Then it got removed when I finally got tall enough. I can only experience it secondhand through these videos. Curse you puberty for taking too long.
Suggestion: if you’re looking for another inverted coaster like volcano, id recommend alpengeist at busch gardens williamsburg. it’s not the same, but it’s pretty cool
So this is what the rides would look like if you: •Were sitting in the front •Weren’t crunching up in your seat because you think you’re gonna hit your head even though you know for sure you’re not tall enough for that •weren’t screaming or giggling hysterically
Twisted Timbers was surprisingly pretty kick-ass looking. I need to get over to King’s Dominion the next time I’m out that way. I’ve never been there! They definitely have some wicked rides! I just got home from KD an hour ago. 1st Ride was Windseeker, amazing view of the park and hits the nerves due to the height & speed. 2nd Grizzly, a old ass bumpy ride that never gets boring because it slings you. 3rd Twisted Timbers, I now understand why you rode it so many times. The air time on those 3 hills are perfect. 4th Racer 75, old and shaky as hell but you still get 2-3 good air times on there. 5th Xreme Sky Flyer, the only ride where I really felt this shit could be the end of my life at this moment. 6th Apple Zapple, the feeling of thinking you’re going to fly off the track never gets old on mouse coasters. 7th Anaconda, this really beats you in the head literally I barley enjoyed. It’s not as fun as it was when I was a kid. 8th Backlot Stunt the launch and turns are dope. That’s about it, best if rode at night. 9th Flight of Fear, nothing to fear but the dark launch and the random lazy river that puts you to sleep mid ride. 10th Intimidator 305, the climb really kicks my anxiety’s ass but the drop gives me life again. The speed is insane. 11th Dominator, very enjoyable and very smooth. Not many hills for airtime but still dope. 12th Delirium, a stomach dropping good time over and over again lol. 13th ride Berzerker, just something to do without a line. It still gets the stomach to drop a bit so its not pointless.
Woodstock Express was the first coaster I rode that got me over my fear of em in 2022 but Backlot Stunt was my first “non-kiddie” coaster I truly enjoyed, hopefully Racer 75 and Twisted Timbers will be next for me
I used visit my dad in the late 80's and early 90's summers and we'd always go here. Last time I was there was probably 1991. I can remember Shock Wave (good, but is no more), Grizzly (brilliant coaster!!) and Anaconda (which was kinda weak). I'm positive there were more, but that's all I can remember... lol Oh, I remember Rebel Yell after watching it in this vid :)
I went on the backlot stunt coaster it’s really fast! I also really loved it. When your starting it it’s really fast especially when you go up it literally puts my head down I love it!
I visited this place back in 2007, I lived with a family for a month outside of Washington D.C (Went there for an Irish School summer scheme). The water park beside it is awesome.

I remember that day, dude! It's still the only Track Transfer video I have up on the channel LOL! Have fun at KD. I hope to get down there again some time soon. Still hard to believe KD was closed all of 2020.
Me and my dad went on twisted timbers a week ago, and most of the other rides, but what stuck out as twisted timbers is what took away my roller coaster fear. Super smooth, and it floats you up a bit on those hills, those hills in my opinion were the most horrifying part of it, the drop is basically nothing special but the loop.
Windseeker is a good way to overcome gravity gradually, And you get to ride for a few minutes to enjoy the view. I prefer this, rather than some of the other rides that must feel like being shot out of a cannon.
i’ve only been once and i was too young and too scared to ride most of the rides. despite this, i have very fond memories of going on rebel yell over and over with my brother and a not-so memory of my grandfather manipulating me onto anaconda, which ended up being my first coaster with inversions.

Just came back from a 2 day trip to this place with my friends and I rode every single one of these things that wasn't too kiddy. So far my top 3 favorites are Flight of Fear, Twisted Timbers and Dominator. I rode Intimidator in the front car in the second row and my body went limp at that drop for a few seconds x'D I'm so mad I missed out on volcano. That one looked amazing ;w;
My favorite ride in kings dominion is backlot stunt coaster On Monday June 5th (After my birthday) I went to kings dominion for my senior high school trip and that ride got me interested and lured me in. I enjoyed it!
I remember going through waynes world...seeing pretty chicks...riding the hurler....and hearing pearl jam even flo on the park stereo......WHO REMEMBERS THESE DAYS!!!???? volcano...what was that hahahaha

When I rode Rebel Yell, I told a worker I don't think my seatbelt was on correctly. At the time I was 7 and I don't think the worker cares and they said I'll be fine. Every time the roller-coaster went down, I was holding onto the bar in front of you, trying not to fly off the coaster. My mom was also trying to hold me down in the seat and no one cared. When I got off the ride, I was barely able to walk because I was so scared lol.
I used to go to KD all the time - I'd ride the Volcano repeatedly, so I'm so sad it's gone. It was one of the only coasters to never give me a headache. Twisted Timbers is fairly new, right? I never got to ride it, but it looks so fun! I've ridden Intimidator 305 a good 5-6 times and gray out every time. It's almost too much, but not quite. I remember riding Dominator when it first opened; that's a great one as well. This makes me want to go back soon!

They removed the volcano? I haven't been in years, but I never thought they would remove it. :( It was one of the first true coasters I experienced (my friends dragged me on it the first time, then the second, then the third and fourth times) but I had so much fun. Did they replace it with anything?

This video helped me get over my fear of roller coasters and now I can get on all the aggressive roller coasters at kings dominion with no problems. Flight of fear and dominator are my favorites.

I started off with dominator and did the rest of em. Ended with intimidator. What a blast!
I just got home from KD an hour ago. 1st Ride was Windseeker, amazing view of the park and hits the nerves due to the height & speed. 2nd Grizzly, a old ass bumpy ride that never gets boring because it slings you. 3rd Twisted Timbers, I now understand why you rode it so many times. The air time on those 3 hills are perfect. 4th Racer 75, old and shaky as hell but you still get 2-3 good air times on there. 5th Xreme Sky Flyer, the only ride where I really felt this shit could be the end of my life at this moment. 6th Apple Zapple, the feeling of thinking you’re going to fly off the track never gets old on mouse coasters. 7th Anaconda, this really beats you in the head literally I barley enjoyed. It’s not as fun as it was when I was a kid. 8th Backlot Stunt the launch and turns are dope. That’s about it, best if rode at night. 9th Flight of Fear, nothing to fear but the dark launch and the random lazy river that puts you to sleep mid ride. 10th Intimidator 305, the climb really kicks my anxiety’s ass but the drop gives me life again. The speed is insane. 11th Dominator, very enjoyable and very smooth. Not many hills for airtime but still dope. 12th Delirium, a stomach dropping good time over and over again lol. 13th ride Berzerker, just something to do without a line. It still gets the stomach to drop a bit so its not pointless.

Woodstock Express was the first coaster I rode that got me over my fear of em in 2022 but Backlot Stunt was my first “non-kiddie” coaster I truly enjoyed, hopefully Racer 75 and Twisted Timbers will be next for me

I used visit my dad in the late 80's and early 90's summers and we'd always go here. Last time I was there was probably 1991. I can remember Shock Wave (good, but is no more), Grizzly (brilliant coaster!!) and Anaconda (which was kinda weak). I'm positive there were more, but that's all I can remember... lol

Me and my dad went on twisted timbers a week ago, and most of the other rides, but what stuck out as twisted timbers is what took away my roller coaster fear. Super smooth, and it floats you up a bit on those hills, those hills in my opinion were the most horrifying part of it, the drop is basically nothing special but the loop.

Windseeker is a good way to overcome gravity gradually, And you get to ride for a few minutes to enjoy the view. I prefer this, rather than some of the other rides that must feel like being shot out of a cannon.

The Rebel Yell from Kings Dominion and The Racer from King Islands is the same thing.
i’ve only been once and i was too young and too scared to ride most of the rides. despite this, i have very fond memories of going on rebel yell over and over with my brother and a not-so memory of my grandfather manipulating me onto anaconda, which ended up being my first coaster with inversions.

Just came back from a 2 day trip to this place with my friends and I rode every single one of these things that wasn't too kiddy. So far my top 3 favorites are Flight of Fear, Twisted Timbers and Dominator. I rode Intimidator in the front car in the second row and my body went limp at that drop for a few seconds x'D I'm so mad I missed out on volcano. That one looked amazing ;w;
Volcano was such an exciting experience. Whatever they decided to replace that plot of land with now has got to surpass what Volcano did.
I went here with my family but the intimidator was under maintenance. But other than that it was very fun here! 100% recommend!!!

I’m 98% sure I’m going to kings in may with my school (6-12) I’ve been to kings once when I was 6 so I don’t remember it well. I’m probably going on all the coasters with my friends and this video helps because now I know what to expect! Thanks!

When I rode Rebel Yell, I told a worker I don't think my seatbelt was on correctly. At the time I was 7 and I don't think the worker cares and they said I'll be fine. Every time the roller-coaster went down, I was holding onto the bar in front of you, trying not to fly off the coaster. My mom was also trying to hold me down in the seat and no one cared. When I got off the ride, I was barely able to walk because I was so scared lol.

I think they need to bring back all the old good ones so that we can recreate memories and let other generations ride them
I used to go to KD all the time - I'd ride the Volcano repeatedly, so I'm so sad it's gone. It was one of the only coasters to never give me a headache. Twisted Timbers is fairly new, right? I never got to ride it, but it looks so fun! I've ridden Intimidator 305 a good 5-6 times and gray out every time. It's almost too much, but not quite. I remember riding Dominator when it first opened; that's a great one as well. This makes me want to go back soon!
