  • When 11-year-old Hanna was injured by a vehicle that slipped out of gear, she received the first of many blood transfusions while in flight to Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the only Level I Trauma Center in North Texas.
Hanna stayed in our Trauma (ICU) for almost 40 days and underwent a variety of treatments including surgery, a feeding tube, a tracheotomy and her favorite, pet therapy.

Becky Kent Because that's not what this video is about. They just used Hannah's story in their video. If you notice, it was uploaded by children's health. The video is about what their program & what they do.

@@jillbeful They said she was mainly affect from neck to pelvis, so it wasn't (mainly) a brain injury.

Did y’all miss her climbing up on the horse? As a brain injury sufferer she absolutely should be wearing protective equipment as brain injuries tend to be accumulative over ones lifetime! It’s a simple thing but I just watched Fallon Taylor a very good and successful barrel racer walk away from a nasty wreck where Baby Flo stepped on her Head, and thigh! Had she not been wearing a helmet than she very well could have been leaving that arena on a stretcher with a serious head injury! I’m 31 and love to chase cans myself I always wear a helmet even if I’m just popping on for a quick joy ride! Hell I had a quick run to the mailbox turn into a mini rodeo after a normally quiet well behaved mare got a bur up her ass and started bucking! Went from quietly walking down the road to spinning around and throwing some impressive bucks. Almost got me off that round!

It was probably because of the tracheotomy they preformed on her. They, as the name implies, cut through the trachea to place tube which allowed her to breath.
