The reach pilot helmet is my personal favorite due to how its like E.V.A. which is another favorite of mine but it blends very nicely and I just think it looks good

Personally i like Military Police for multiple reasons. 1-It makes me stand out (seriously, its like the rarest thing ever to see one in multiplayer) 2-I always liked the marine design in Reach, i loved cosplaying as a marine by equipping MP, Gungnir shoulders and any chest piece-patrol (gillie suit), LRP (3 ammo pouches) and Recon (miscellanous puches and radios) are great for the combo with a sand/olive color scheme. 3-It has a really good visor-solid helmet ratio- For example, Security, EVA and Pilot (and haunted) have a really high one, it feels unrealistic how its 50% glass and just a shot from a sniper jackal can destroy it with ease. EOD (all games) has a really low one- it looks like they can't see. Commando, Grenadier, Scout, Recon, ODST, Enforcer (halo 4) and AKIS (MCC only, GRD without attachements) just look cool because they have good visor size (you can see out of them) but they still look like they offer protection. MP is similar to recon and scout-a gray thing that covers part of the visor. I like helmets with them, it really makes them look like soldier helmets and not generic sci fi astronauts. 4-It works with every visor well and has cool attachements. shit i just made a rant about why an unpopular helmet is good
Across the board, I always used rocked Mark IV, it has always been my favorite, and I can look consistent across every Halo game. My least favorite helmet of all time isn't even from a mainline Halo. It's a Halo Online helmet, and it was introduced into Halo 3 MCC, and it's called Hammerhead. And uhh... yeah, you kinda have to have hit your head with a hammer to actually think it looks nice.
Reach: CQC, for being more realistic and having that prototype look to it. All of the CQC armor actually looks outdated compared the others and I like that, it shows real progression in technology, but not in the ridiculous leaps and bounds that were made between Halo 3 and 4. It also looks good in orange, which is not something I can say of most other helmets and armor. This helmet combined with it's set is just a very solid look that I always end up defaulting to when I'm unsure what to wear either in the campaign or multiplayer. -------- Halo 3: ODST. It's smooth, simple, and low profile like the rest of ODST which I have a lot of appreciation for, given I actually think the other helmets are a bit extra. This helmet always manages to look completely badass, be it the orange and red flames of heavy combat in broad daylight or slinking through the dark stormy streets, my visor just barely catching the glow of enemy plasma weapons and reflecting a ghostly blue or acidic green before I vanishes back into total darkness, waiting patiently for the perfect opportunity to strike. -------- Halo 4: Engineer, when paired with the rest of it's set. I can't say I really like any other set of armor in Halo 4, even the Mark VI set looks off. I liked the combination of smooth and sharp designs on the aliens because it looked good on the aliens, but UNSC has always had a signature blocky and somewhat modern appearance that represents humanity to me in Halo. Halo 4 _and_ Halo 5 armor either lack that or can't find a balance. The heavy armor looks like it's made out of slightly melted Legos or and the rest is someone trying to make Covenant armor to fit humans; it's just not right. -------- Halo 5: ODST, but not for the same reasons as Halo 3. This version of ODST looks more like a futuristic soldier that's not gone completely insane with the design. It has a look of hard military and _human_ signature to it while also being more rounded and no less bulky or thin than the previous armor. I don't imagine myself as a stealth unit in this armor though, I think more of open combat in some military complex or a desert/urban setting. Cool, but not nearly as good as it's predecessor.
Overall, I think my favorite Helmet/Set is the Raider just for it's overall wolf-like design but it is followed extremely close by the ODST Helmet/Set from Reach. Out of all the games, I felt like Reach had the best version of the ODST armor/helmet. To me, it looked perfect. Halo 4's version looked a bit too rounded down to me and Halo 5's versions looked a bit more bulky than the classic ODST. I always rocked the ODST helmet and armor set, along with one of the ODST themed robotic arms for my Spartan in Reach. Though I did like the Military Police helmet as well. I rocked ODST in Halo 4 until I unlocked the Raider/DSTT set and rocked that instead for the remainder of Halo 4. And was really the only Helmet/Set I wanted to get in Halo 5. So once I got that, it's all I wore in Halo 5 as well. Though the Helioskrill Armor from 5 was pretty cool too. Better than the Achillies anyway. I hated the Achillies set with a passion. I just felt it was such a stupid move to make it so you had to rely on the accumulative commendations of 99 other players to unlock a cosmetic for your own Spartan instead of it solely relying just on your own personal commendations alone.

Disappointed that you didn't mention the Locust helmet when talking about Halo 4. You had to grind a mobile app at 711's to earn the helmet. That was an annoying grind but it was worth it to have everyone and their mother ask me how to get it.

I always thought the Scout helmet looked like a duck version of Rogue so it's funny that you thought the exact opposite lol. On a side note I was also always a fan of the Security helmet. I've always liked the Halo: Reach and Halo 4 variants of EVA, but not EVA/C. I don't like the halo 3 one though just not a fan of the red lines over the visor.

Tbh halo 4 and 5 i always rock deadeye its the only new helmet other than helioskrill that looks good from 343 imo. I hope it comes back in infinite. Idk why but deadeye looks so fucking sick please 343 i want it back again
