I first heard this song over 20 years ago, and it had such a profound impact on my understanding of forgiveness that it has underpinned my Christian walk ever since. For that I am eternally grateful.
THESE GUYS ARE NOT JUST AWESOME, THEY BLOW AWAY ANY ROCK GROUP OF THE TIMES, JUST THINK WHILE ALL THE ROCK AND ROLLERS ARE MAKING A HUGH KILLING, THESE GUYS GIVE TO GOD...AND THAT MAKES THEM MUCH RICHER IN MY EYES.
As many times Jesus has forgiven, and continues to forgive me, I would be a fool not to forgive others the same. Praise be to Father for giving us direct access to Him through His Son :)
Forgiveness first benefits the forgiver. Thank God for teaching us to forgive. We DEFINITELY cannot do it by ourselves! Awesome song! God bless you all and always! :)
Best Christian band of 80's. I went to all their concerts when they came to Taylor University (Florian's Alma Mater) and also 2011 #1 rated college in Midwest by US News & World Report. I believe this is third year in a row. Oh, I graduated from Taylor as well.
This song like 'Harmony' from The Cruse Family sends a very strong message to all Races. Wish radio stations would go back 20 plus years and bring back alot of this music. Bilbo2shire
This song got me through teenage years when a bad situation happened every every day and i had to learn about 70 x 7. And still relevant all of thee years later.
I have a dear friend of mine who attended college with Rick Florian. She told me he was awfully shy. But he got up on stage and well we know the rest....No kidding!
Amen!! One radio station that brings back 70's through today in christian music is XM 32. They are accepting any classic cd's' to thier music library to play on xm32 the message. If anybody is interested or has converted thier library to mp3 and no longer needs thier classic ccm cd's and would like to donate them to XM radio 32. I can give you the info on how to contact the radio station manager who is a wonderfull christian and has been in radio for many years. Blessings.
Actually this is from the album "Don't wait for the Movie" in 1986. Freedom was released in 1988 and I agree it is a great album. My fave is "Let the kingdom come"
I saw Whiteheart in concert on this tour tour (Don't Wait for the Movie). Front row seats! I think the actual title of this song is How Many Times? (Seventy Times Seven).
Used to discover it about 2 weeks ago. For a very long time I had not been listening to such great track. It has got sth inside... hard to say. Next track by which Im constantly thinkin about the girl who said she loved me but it turned out she needed me to have sb and when it appeared to be lie that she loves as i loved her - she found sb else. I miss you honey, I don't know what I'll do without you. Pity you cannot see it. But on the other hand - would it bring anything? Probably not. Great.
Hi Sassychic24! White Heart are no longer recording as of right now. They have not "officially" disbaned but have not recorded since earlier this decade. They did have a rare reunion performance you can catch from 2006 soul2soul awards where they were honored. Thier drummer jon knox has a youtube page where he posted performances from there. If you search "white heart freedom" you will find the soul2soul link. White Heart has given us so many great songs. enjoy singing them. ;-)
@missionarygirl70 I discovered CCM while working as a photographer on Fort Benning, Ga. in 86. So many groups I wish had heard doing my high school days in Chicago. A song titled "HARMONY" by The Cruse Family should be played over and over all around the world. A great song to push PEACE.bilbo2shire
Hi riverdragon666. Nice playing. watched some of your videos. This i actually an old video. Thier later stuff was much more agressive. search youtube for a posting by thier drummer Whiteheart - Freedom Live at Soul2Soul Awards 2006 and also White Heart- Power House when they had longer hair. lol. In this 90's this band tore it up. By the way you the bass player on this and the Freedom video is Tommy Simms who co wrote "change the world" for Eric Clapton. A bit of triva.
My favourite albums with Whiteheart are of course Freedom, Tales of Wonder and Highland :D But I have most albums of Petra :D All of them hehe :D 26 albums of Petra :D and 5 albums of Whiteheart
@HairGlitter Yes, he does. That too is a good song. Somewhat different themes; Whiteheart's song is about the requirement for me to those who sinned against me 7 x 70 times. Meece's song is more of a reminder that Jesus has forgiven me 7X70 times, or not counting offenses.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I seldom can find the music I am looking for. Songs like "Oh Heavenly Father", "Hollow Eyes". I think songs like these can unite Belivers and Non-Believers and all Christians regardless of Race. I understand the Guy who owns J93.3 in Atlanta also owns FedEx. People like this could be "Shakers and Movers". Bilbo2shire.
@riverdragon666, You are not the only one who does not like Jesus andits ok, He still Loves and forgives way more than seventy times seven. He forgives more than we will ever will, he was beaten bruised spit at and abused violently yet he still allowed them to nail him to the cross. Now THAT is LOVE and forgivness.
Amen! Heard this song for the first time when I gave my testimony on June 11, 2014. Google "BlogTalkRadio Wilcha," and you'll see the link. Thank You, Jesus.
Hi riverdragon666, There has been times in my life I felt the same way but you know something? Even thought you may not like him very much, he loves you always. John 3:16
@riverdragon666 Are you saying that from personal experience with Jesus, or by reputation, or because of a bad experience with somebody who claimed to love or follow him?
riverdragon666 Jesus is the ultimate expression of Love and forgiveness.. Prayer and blessings that you find him! feel free to contact me directly.. Curious as to why anybody would not like JESUS?
My favourite albums with Whiteheart are of course Freedom, Tales of Wonder and Highland :D But I have most albums of Petra :D All of them hehe :D 26 albums of Petra :D and 5 albums of Whiteheart

back when music was music. Melotic, understandable, pretty, beautiful words. Wonderful message. Thanks for posting. I miss the 80's!!! :-D
This song gave me comfort in the 80's and it's so good to hear it again, so thanks!
This song encourages me when I was hurting, or being dissapointed with my friends.
Forgiveness first benefits the forgiver. Thank God for teaching us to forgive. We DEFINITELY cannot do it by ourselves! Awesome song! God bless you all and always! :)
I miss Whiteheart.
This song ministers to me so much. Thanks for sharing! God bless you!

Best Christian band of 80's. I went to all their concerts when they came to Taylor University (Florian's Alma Mater) and also 2011 #1 rated college in Midwest by US News & World Report. I believe this is third year in a row. Oh, I graduated from Taylor as well.

Ol Rick kinda reminded me of Helena Bonham Carter when he stepped into the light lol. He has such an awesome voice though.
