That pass to Jennings was absolutely incredible. The pocket collapsing, over the linebacker and potentially into the arms of the safety were it not for Jennings beautiful catch. But let’s be real, we expect any number 2 receiver or better to make that catch just about every time. Either way you slice it, the throw and the catch were special as well as the one to aiyuk.

He threw three picks in an '84 playoff against the NY Giants which the Niners won 21-10. Part of his greatness came from not letting those things affect him and his will to win; something we see in Brock. For the record, Joe threw three TD's in each of those games.

To me, Purdy is above average, on a steady incline to become fn great. He’s still learning, he literally has an amazing cast around him, both offensively & defensively. He also has a coach that adapts to his players rather than the players adapting to the coach’s system. Purdy is in the perfect spot for success. Now, I’d say we should be giving more credit to the guys around him cause they’re all studs as well. I think Purdy will be great when he can show that he can perform & put up similar numbers when he doesn’t have the same guys around him. But to SF credit, they scouted & drafted most of these guys, they put together a solid ass team. Even with the trades they got…it’s unbelievable.

I’ll be slightly conflicted, too. I saw Jared Goff in a couple games live at Cal, he’s a local Bay Area native and he played HS just 25 minutes from where I live. So, if the 49ers lose, I’ll be disappointed, but I’ll still be rooting for Goff in the Superbowl.

To all you Brock Purdy hater's and non-believers: Joe Montana threw three interceptions and lost a fumble before "The Catch" was made. He threw three picks in an '84 playoff against the NY Giants which the Niners won 21-10. Part of his greatness came from not letting those things affect him and his will to win; something we see in Brock. For the record, Joe threw three TD's in each of those games.

To me, Purdy is above average, on a steady incline to become fn great. He’s still learning, he literally has an amazing cast around him, both offensively & defensively. He also has a coach that adapts to his players rather than the players adapting to the coach’s system. Purdy is in the perfect spot for success. Now, I’d say we should be giving more credit to the guys around him cause they’re all studs as well. I think Purdy will be great when he can show that he can perform & put up similar numbers when he doesn’t have the same guys around him. But to SF credit, they scouted & drafted most of these guys, they put together a solid ass team. Even with the trades they got…it’s unbelievable.
