this truck should have been saved and put into a museum if I knew I could get to this before it was scrapped I would have bought it and saved it it's a crime to scrap such a vehicle how shameful
hi guys ! we parked a truck here an hour ago , borrowed from a restorer , we are filming a war scene in the field at the back !. it survived war zones to end up like that philastines . .
Couldn't bring myself to watch that what a waste of a good old truck gaining about £200 in scrap if you had sold it as was on eBay would have made £4000 for it painted up and restored £10000 no problem should be ashamed of yourselves
If I were them, I would replace the semi trucks, used to haul the equipment with this army truck. Those things are unstoppable. That is a 6x6 one. I look on eBay and I can’t find a good price for a 6x6. They all cost over 10k.
Basher Old army trucks in the USA are already replaced with new ones, the new vehicles are made out of recycled scrap metal. That truck will be scraped, and then the metal gets recycled to make new vehicles
My daughters 2013 VW polo was written off in an accident last week ( not her fault, another driver lost it on a bend & crashed into her) they are both ok & no one was hurt luckily. It doesn't bother me that her 4 year old car will now be ripped apart & scrapped one bit. It's a bloody shame about this lorry though, what a waste of a bit of our history. Got to give it to the crane driver though.
Drove these in Germany all over the place 10 ton AEC , back bone of the transport for ammo and fuel as well as stores , the batter was often flat in the deep cold -15 c so we bumped started them fully loaded , if the real wheel turn one full turn the engine stared , slept on the engine cover in the cab , an absolute bastic to cam up , crash gear box and a ratchet hand brake ...sad to see
@@Teraskas this doesn’t look like a matador, they only have 4 tires. Plus the cab of the matador is rounded by the windshield. I have no clue what this truck is.
Surely that was an historic vehicle , that would have been worth far far more as spare parts than scrap , it could even have been restored , just crazy to scrap that truck
Well, it's gone. I watched to the end. Sad. Then I watched the one Guy drive by, a couple of times, who was "fixated" on the now scrapped cargo truck. Probably driving by, saying goodbye to a young memory in his mind and feeling ripped out like that truck. Body language said a lot.....
The same thing happened to the old, reliable, but non PC according to the elf'n'safety killjoys electric trains I worked on. Hope the bastards got asbestosis. The scrap was sent to China to further bugger our own steel industry.
i wouldn't say the truck was ripped apart at all . the soft cab and sides were easy meat , however the rest just shrugged it off with a cheery 'Fuck off' . truck looked pretty much untouched
I just knew a bunch of people would want to save this hunk of crap. That's why we have a hoarder epidemic. And what do you think is an ingredient in new steel? Scrap!
Exactly. It sounds just like a bunch of poor people sitting around who never restored anything in their life suggesting someone ELSE puts thousands of dollars into these and probably never even getting a lot of that money back. A bunch of armchair fakes!
yes this is a lovely AEC truck but the fact is everything has its end in some shape of form ie like this with a terex fuchs 350mhl but look at it this way the ones that still live are worth more .......
Cranes working way way to close to each other two things garrentied on this planet humans make mistakes daily and death this is an accident waiting to happen work safe ministry seen this they would shut you's down!! As a 25 year operator I know and seen lots of mistakes!

would gladly off paid way more than scrap value for this historic truck.

STOP WHINING.
It,s safe to say there is not one brain cell within that entire scrap yard!
There is no life in you. Obsolete trash is recycled, not stored in museum for your whining.

It is disappointing to see an old piece of history destroyed.
And they call this recycling...?
Southall's finest shredded by Fuchs.
can not beleive what i am watching it shows how well built this truck was cause its taking this machine ages to rip it apart
Total waste of a restorable vehicle, just idiotic.
CycolacFan I wouldn't call it restorable. But there are some parts they could sell.
It was totally restorable
CycolacFan I know right? With enough work and time you could of had that truck looking great. Complete waste of a part of history
Agreed. Could have taken some time, but easily a restorable vehicle.
CycolacFan yeah everyone says that but no one wants to fork out the money and buy them to restore.
Would've made a nice resto project.
This is hard to watch.
And these whining comments are spam.
Dif on the front axil, must be a 6x6
Why???? Such a waste😢😢😢
Basher Old army trucks in the USA are already replaced with new ones, the new vehicles are made out of recycled scrap metal. That truck will be scraped, and then the metal gets recycled to make new vehicles
Basher most us military duces and a halfs go to auctions. or are rebuilt.that goes for the 5ton trucks most are rebuilt 20 times in its life
Joshua Sang I think he was pointing out the waste of what appeared to be a historic AEC truck and not the waste of any materials.
It will be recycled to something useful.
Looks its british AEC Matador 6x6, rare truck from II war. Trully morrons😑

Seems like a waste of a nice old truck
Seems like reasnoanble recycling of a obsolete trash.

Short term gain. With very little work, that would have been a good earner, restored and sold.
No firm wants 70 year old trash.
What angers me just as much as seeing them rip it apart, is seeing them in possession of it to begin with.
I don’t remember ever seeing one of these at military vehicle shows. I hope they’re not rare.
An AEC Matador like this ? Quite rare, unfortunately.
@@Teraskas this doesn’t look like a matador, they only have 4 tires. Plus the cab of the matador is rounded by the windshield. I have no clue what this truck is.
@@ChrisRedding1 Indeed, my mistake !
I believe it's an AEC Militant. 🙂

What a waste. That was a totally intact and restorable piece of history, now lost forever so you can use it to make the tins for kippers. Sad.
this aec militant mk1 could have been saved.its a terrible waste.i used to make them at aec southall.
The same thing happened to the old, reliable, but non PC according to the elf'n'safety killjoys electric trains I worked on. Hope the bastards got asbestosis. The scrap was sent to China to further bugger our own steel industry.

This truck was worthless, and not worth saving. I wish UA-cam had a real block feature.
Definitely worth-"less" as scrap than I'd have paid for it
would of got more money if you sold as it was then strip it ?
I need a job like that, daily stress relief...
I just knew a bunch of people would want to save this hunk of crap. That's why we have a hoarder epidemic. And what do you think is an ingredient in new steel? Scrap!
sad site, Past me class 2 in a "Knocker" at the ripe old age of 18
Everyone wants to whine and say it's a waste but no one will buy them when they try to sell them people like to talk a good game.
They are good trucks sell them to Africa
They have the know how to keep the running for another 60 years
Exactly. It sounds just like a bunch of poor people sitting around who never restored anything in their life suggesting someone ELSE puts thousands of dollars into these and probably never even getting a lot of that money back.
A bunch of armchair fakes!
Do you have the money to export it to Africa?
I couldn't watch this.
They can go home & watch the Jeremy Kyle show
yes this is a lovely AEC truck but the fact is everything has its end in some shape of form ie like this with a terex fuchs 350mhl but look at it this way the ones that still live are worth more .......
It put that crane through the paces though.
They could have flogged it for restoration
All the comments complaining about this being a waste : why didn’t you open up your wallet to buy and restore the vehicle?
It's because they are idiots and want to pass the burden to someone else. Oh and they have no money.
Did you see it advertised for sale?
Because no one else did!
Its like a scene frome jarasic park
Why not sell it for spares to help a nother project know its useless its peaple like this that are the problem with this world
Shame could have sold it for the same money they got for scraping it.
More if sold to Africa
Sell it to who?

What a waste.
No fuchs given
is it an AEC mamoth
AEC Militant.
6x6 Matador?
Not worth restoration?? .To use in parades, Etc..? Unfortunate....👎😬
In the background, I see a Toyoya car in a pile of scrap, I bet that car is next on line to be torn apart after the truck.
COLLECTOR TRUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disgraceful
Bastards, my mother conceived me in the back of that truck!!
SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a sad sight indeed
