@@WILLbeDAMNEDRTJ are pretty EDM as well! Their insane production level definitely has some house music components to it. I'm a house music guy through-and-through, but I love these guys!

I'm just so happy to see El-P enjoying himself doing what he loves. He spent 10-15 years creating a set of incredibly important, but self-depleting albums after Company Flow. Timeless pieces of art that will go down in history as some of the most important music created in our time. It's not easily available, but so worth the effort getting into and so extremely powerful.
@@victoriahollis3454 the ones he is referring to are probably his solo albums titled Fantastic Damage and I Will Sleep When You're Dead. His album he produced with Cannibal Ox called The Cold Vein (my personal fav), and probably his work on Company Flow like Funcrusher Plus. There are multiple others, like for instance he produced for Aesop Rock a bit, that is another artist i would recommend checking out. Listing all of them would take me forever. The ones i listed are good ones to start with for now.
God. The moment at 27:40. If there was ever any doubt that these are beautiful human beings. ... These guys get what music is about and what music is for.
Everything about them is purely amazing. Best vocals and timing in Mike, best beats and producing in El. The brains on these guys most people won't be able to appreciate.
Seeing these dudes with RATM on 12-July in Chicago. I'm so stoked. Our first concert since COVID shut everything down. Plus in this time of overturning Roe vs Wade. This shit is going to be 🔥
Best hip hop duo and dj since Blackstar. I love the polyrythmic delivery of the lyrics in 6/4 over the 4/4 beat on a few of the songs. They do it better than anyone.
Here is 2021 and I'm so desperate for another live RTJ set. These two have always been great and always have an awesome message. Lets go Jewel Runners!
Ive been listenin to el-p since the co flow days and if you had asked me back then(hell, even at the millennium--defjux days) if underground hiphop would ever be accepted in the mainstream, id have said no.... For better or for worse its safe to say hiphop has been accepted and RTJ is a perfect example of cats who did it without corrupting, while still evolving their art. Thanks for the show Austin City Limits!!
bernard wallace hell yeah bro...i didn't give El a chance back in '93, totally slept on him. not the case with Killer Mike...I've been down with him since 2003. RTJ HIPHOP SAVIORS!
These guys are starting to get big and they are everywhere, in TV shows and major movies. The only way they escape corruption and being abused from record producers is by producing their own albums. its the only way for them to keep evolving their art and become unstoppable. Deathrow Records is a good example of wanting to produce your own stuff.
I have had the privilege of seeing great live performances, bands, and artists in person, too many to name. ACL has been a favorite (Eric Johnson especially), but this is magic. Much love and respect.
OOOOO...im so jealous!! Ive not been able to see them live yet so i live vicariously thru youtube vids and fans like yourself. RTJ are endlessly amazing.
ThreeToesofFury you gotta go, dude! Such an experience. When they own the stage it's more of a good vibe rock show than anything else. Everyone is riding the same wave. I'm thinking about seeing them on this lorde tour even though I don't care to see her.
zajv7712 l am still on the fence about going... don’t know why they agreed to that bill 🤦♀️ my friend saw them at Madison square garden with jack white and it was awkward. Bumping to these boys in an assigned seat ain’t right
