I’ve got the X 12 S and it’s a beautiful little car. I did the shock tower modification and haven’t had a chance to run it yet though. Turtle RC said that his shock tower broke even after doing the modification so I’m interested to see long-term, how it lasts. (By shock tower breaking, I mean where the shock tower attaches to the plastic differential housing, not the tower itself)
Got the typhon grom blx recently. Thinking of getting the x12s wheels for it, for a bit better ground clearance. They don't seem so much bigger, so at 2s it shouldn't be an issue for the new diffs🤔
I think it's has to do with the >3mm pinion gear as well as the 2838 motor inside the Typhon BLX. Definitely more indestructible than the likes of us who mod it from brushed. The biggest motor I put on my Typhon would be a 2440 motor with stock 2.3mm gear. Still breaks occasionally upon impact. I have the X12S too. It's basically a modded brushed Typhon Grom for cheap. The BLX is a superior vehicle and superb value for a name brand.
Your videos make me want one so bad.hopefully one day!! Keep up the entertainment

I have a brushless typhon grom blx & it smokes the x12s!
Just curious. How so? Is it faster or handle better or have better air control?
