- A video on how to remove the front Sway bar on my 1996 Ford E-350 van. My Sway bar and bushings were in bad shape and needed to be fixed. Along with the sway bar hold-down bushings, I also replaced the sway bar insert bushings on the Front I beams. These ones were the hardest to replace but I share some tips on how to easily do it. It sure is nice having the front end feel nice and tight again and the sway bar isn't smacking the front spring. I hope this video was helpful and thanks for watching!
This is where I got My complete Sway bar bushing kit: www.rockauto.com/
My Sway bar is 25.4mm (yours may be different so be sure to measure)
The part number I used:
DORMAN 928562
(I have no affiliation with Rock Auto, they just have a great diverse catalog, some stuff they sell is cheap garbage, and some stuff is high quality, many times the same part is far cheaper than the box stores but you do have to pay for shipping)

My man working in the negatives to get us this content😂❤
Haha negative celsius, bushings would probably been easier to insert in warm weather. Thanks!
I need to do this for my 95 e250, idk if I commented before. It has an L6 300 though, no chance you need to radio work lol
Nice, thanks for showing, it's a job the DIY can do.
You bet! yeah pretty easy, hardest part was bushings on the sway bar, drove so much nicer after this, still need to do the rest of the front end once the weather warms back up
Thanx for this. After being under the e350 for an hour trying to put that d##n bar in..I will start the new day with the ratchets!
no problem! always sucks when it's a pain but better tight than loose. the ratchet strap worked like a charm
Lol same reason I'm here , jeez this job SHOULD NOT BE THIS DAMN HARD !!!!!
Man. I wish you were here to help me fix mines. I would just pay you.
wish I could help and get paid. cut out the middle man and better for both of us
Nice job.
Thanks!
Hellwig makes a larger front (and rear) sway bar kit
nice! maybe some people will need better sway bars
❤
🙌
Nice job bruh
Thanks! Got a lot more vids coming
@@4WheelKid yeah ive been following you, i have an e250 sportsmobile that needs work and your stuff is motivating.
I need more tools 😆
Hi, are you planning to replace the body mounts bushings? I can’t find anything online and this would be super helpful, thanks
I didn’t replace all of mine just the front 2 but could have replaced all, I removed all bolts cleaned and painted around where the mounts go, I did 1 side at a time, it was pretty easy, I have a whole video filmed on it but haven’t editing it yet
@@4WheelKid I hope we can watch that video. Thank you.
Say my mans whats the arm that fgoes to the I beam WHERE you are racheting the strap that big bolt right ton the I beam. I know nothing about cars.
I believe those are called the radius arms. there are so many type of suspension setups hard to know them all, I'm just learning this one. will be overhauling the entire front end this summer
Can you fix mine?
Maybe
@@4WheelKid honestly you’d be a lifesaver
I think you're supposed to reuse the metal sleeve in the front I beam and just pop in the new bushings into the original metal sleeve..
No its a different design the rubber is bonded to the sleave. You can buy new rubber ones with the metal sleaves or polyurethane bushings. That replaces the sleeve and rubber all together like the ones Installed. Dont think thats correct? You should try it and let me know how that goes
