Thank you so much for posting this video. I reside just nearly one mile south east of the location where the video starts. Love walking everyday along Nicollet Mall during the spring, summer, and fall. A bit later in the day than this video started a fresh market opens up on Nicollet Mall during the seasons amenable to walking this mall. There was much street construction on the mall this summer which I suspect prevented many people from frequenting the mall this summer.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and the Skyway walking tour video! I've been gone from Minneapolis for 5 years now, and I do enjoy doing a virtual visit thanks to your efforts. Well done!
I love downtown Minneapolis. But the footage at 17:20 shows how a sculpture with a "public" mini-amphitheater below it gets cordoned off because homeless people are crapping in the vegetation. Take care of people properly America, and you won't have embarrassing cities. And this is especially important because Minneapolis is one of the best cities in the US. Yet you have this awful skid mark in the middle of the supposed premiere street in the middle of downtown.
Yeah, I find that fenced seating to be embarrassing. It’s right outside the library so there are plenty of bathrooms around there during the day. Hopefully they will have it open again soon. It’s been a few years now

I worked at the Hyatt Regency when it first opened and loved the downtown night life. I miss sitting outside Orchestra Hall in the summer evenings.

It's a great place to be as long as it's not winter or any time at night or wherever there are no cops around. Other than that, wonderful.
