Humming sound is due to square wave inverter if u use sine wave inverters no humming will be experienced during power cuts
But the coolers power consumption is too high being a bldc motor
But sir power consumption as per my electricity consumption is almost same as a celing fan.

I dont know about the logic behind all this but my electricity bill has not increased it almost same before i purchased and after purchase. So for by my personal experience it power efficent sir rest i dont know.
