What would be the problem with just having an emitting mesh (scaled with the light intensity) on a layer that is only seen by the reflection probe? I am wondering if I'm missing something, thanks for sharing.
You would need to manually place that mesh for every light in your game, and dedicate a layer to it. It would have the same effect, but take more work
