My pleasure! :)
Legumes should be the main source of protein for everyone, specially people with kidney problems.
A great video, thank you. Are Fava beans what we call broad beans here in the UK? Thanks again.
I had to look it up, but yes! Fava and broad beans are the same :)
@@plantbasedkidneyskitchen Thank you, you are a star !!
so mung beans is high in potassium? can i eat it everyday if you have kidney problem?
Mung beans are a lower-moderate potassium legume. The portion you eat will depend on your individual nutrient needs! I provide the potassium content of these different beans in the video so people can eat according to what their needs are!
And does beans and legumes count as a veggie?
Legumes are a starchy veggie and plant protein. So you wouldn't fill up 1/2 your plate with them (you want that to be non-starchy veggies). They would account for ~1/4 of your plate (portion depending on individual needs).
So does it count as a proteine? Last question. I promise. You are so very helpful Michelle 😊
What is the difference between beans and legumes? I am still confused about this.
Great question! Beans are a type of legume. Different types of beans, peas, lentils, chickpeas are all legumes.
Thank you Michelle. 😊 . One more question, what are green beans considered?
Are beans and or legumes considered a veggie in a meal?
