This is the sad and embarrassing part, it was the Russians in the late 70's that started putting more difficult gymnastic movements that changed how gymnastics is done today.It was them that brought more difficult moves to the sport that change it in the first place. This is like at one of my previous office jobs, where we had to meet our metrics and we had to X amount of a certain task each week. I had my 1 on 1 with my supervisor and he noted that I had over 300, when the goal was a hundred and something. He noted that I was always one of the top two each week, but then said, “You don’t have to do that many. It makes the others look bad.” WTF? How is it my problem that they don’t do as many as I do? That really pissed me off because instead of congratulating me, he made me feel bad for excelling at my job.

I played on a major manufacturer of cell phones company basketball league. Our team was 98% black and we went undefeated three years in a row and won the championships each year. The Whte judges stated they were not in line with the requirements. Now that Whte people have mimic and learned her stunts, they behave as if that was not ever a problem.
Phelps also has a genetic advantage because his body gets rid of lactic acid faster than the normal human body. So his muscles do not fatigue as fast and his muscles will recover much faster than normal. Most people don't know this about him .

They always told me that I have to work to get what I want because it will not be given you. And they taught me to be the best in what ever I do. This is the sad and embarrassing part, it was the Russians in the late 70's that started putting more difficult gymnastic movements that changed how gymnastics is done today.It was them that brought more difficult moves to the sport that change it in the first place. Now they're mad because they are not the ones doing the winning of the Championships and that a African American black girl to women, is the one taking home all the gold.

This is what happened to Surya Bonaly back in the day. She was a black French ice skater and she was so athletic they wouldn't let her perform some of her jumps. And that was in the 80s... darn shame it never stops
This is like at one of my previous office jobs, where we had to meet our metrics and we had to X amount of a certain task each week. I had my 1 on 1 with my supervisor and he noted that I had over 300, when the goal was a hundred and something.
He noted that I was always one of the top two each week, but then said, “You don’t have to do that many. It makes the others look bad.” WTF? How is it my problem that they don’t do as many as I do? That really pissed me off because instead of congratulating me, he made me feel bad for excelling at my job.

I played on a major manufacturer of cell phones company basketball league. Our team was 98% black and we went undefeated three years in a row and won the championships each year. Simone makes it look effortless but as we all know, it truly isn’t. And some of us can be so cruel and hard towards her because she isn’t presenting the way we want her to present. God forbid, her hair doesn’t meet their standards, it doesn’t look quite right.
