    NICE boat!
How far offshore on the West Coast of VI do you feel comfortable going in this beast, when you have good weather.

I'm looking at this or the 2725. Can one of the 115's get you on plane and have you noticed any corrosion anywhere ?

The 115 won’t get the boat on plane, it will do 8 knots pretty easy I’d say 12 knots max. I have a friend with a 2725 with twin 150’s and it will get on plane with a single 150. Don’t remember what the top speed was. No corrosion on my boat, it was only in the water for 2 months a year then pulled and out in dry storage through the winter. We repainted the boat as the clear coat was coming off and wanted it to look pretty again. The previous owner never waxed the boat. Haven’t had an issue with corrosion on the motors as the zincs are changed regularity. I think the early 2000’s 200-250 engines had corrosion issues.

@@dabuoys8703 That's good news on the corrosion, any idea how your friend's 2725 is on fuel compared to yours. I was under the impression KF's were supposed to be a fairly efficient hull, I would have guessed yours to be better than you mentioned.

shawn moore I think it’s about the same, for the same speed. 14 gph in and around that range doing 27 knots or around 12 to do 23 knots. The 3025 does about 14.8 gph doing 27 knots and it’s running twin 200 the new inline 4’s.

We just purchased a 2008 2525 Kingfisher, thinking of getting it painted like you did. Who painted it? Do you have any templates for the flooring you put down and did you buy the flooring from Amazon? Your boat looks great!

We had the boat painted in Port Alberni on Vancouver Island at Urgel’s. Randy is the guy you want to talk to. We did use the Amazon flooring Eva foam flooring. We used masking tap to outline where the flooring would go. Then put a thick piece of Polly down to draw a template. We then took the Polly off and layed it on the flooring and cut it. Then applied to the deck. We cleaned the deck couple times then used windex for the last cleaning. We used the spray 3m to make sure it would stick even though the back had adhesive.

@@dabuoys8703 Thanks for the info! How many sheets did you order for the flooring? We heard the name of your boat being called on the radio in Nootka sound couple weeks ago from Hoot'n Any, my wife reminded me of that I recognized the name on your boat but couldn't remember where... lol

@@scarfface4 Ya that’s correct we where in Nootka. We sold our 2525 went to a 3025. But I loved the 2525 for fishing! We ordered 5 sheets, but only used 4. I would recommend 5 sheets because if something goes wrong apparently the colour doesn’t match up well. On the 2nd order, I will say the flooring is hard to keep clean. Dish soap works best to clean it up.

Or for the anti slip flooring (ultra deck) you can get it everywhere at the KF’s dealer like Galleon marine, GA check, GMT

Im wondering why 2 115 engines instead of 1 250 engine. Do you know pro and cons of either route. Thanks

Just saw this, the boat came with twin 115 I bought it used. The options are twin 115 or a single 250. Lots of people like the twins for handling, I am one of those people. On this particular boat I think the single 250 would have been the better engine choice.

If one motor goes down, you still have one motor to get back to safety on. More expensive to buy/maintain 2 engines, though. If it's set up right, twin motors can be miracle workers getting into a tight dock space, versus the single motor. Twice the maintenance, though. At least get a kicker motor if you only get the one big engine. I think mileage tends to be better with a proper-sized SINGLE engine (vs. twin engines.) Good luck.
