I tried to get Banggood to start selling the LEM12 with the dock, but they aren't set up to to it, so LEMFO's Aliexpress store is the only outlet at this point. The extra band with the Z32 and the good price are definite positives. Thanks for explaining your reasoning behind your choice to us.

Hi Mr. Ticks good evening. It's been a while since i checked your videos on smart watches. Got busy with Covid-19 here in my country. Anyways, thank you for this review. As usual you're very thorough on details. But what impressed me is how you patiently monitor the battery life of both SW by writing the details in a small paper. That's what you call a complete staff work! (CSW). I just hope both watches will make it here. More power to you Mr. Ticks!
Yes! Thanks for noticing! CSW as well as CRS (Can't Remember S*it). I figured it would be best to write everything down. They were meant to be my own notes, but there were just too many different situations it made sense just to share it with you guys exactly the way it turned out.
I totally understand, due to your Videos I've purchased 4 Watches just for the looks but they are all sitting here all because they are not able to make Bluetooth calling. I truly hope that one day they'll be able to accommodate that option on these beautiful watches
Thanks Rider XXL! That's EXACTLY what we needed to know. Now with both yours and mine actually producing pictures that are 480X640 rather than 5MP as stated in the specs, I can safely say the specs are wrong compared with the hardware actually in the watch. Anybody else with an LEM12 able to check your image resolutions? Do they match Rider XXL?
I think you may have mixed up the 2 watches in your video. I find that the Lemfo Lem12 has a 5 megapixel camera on the front facing camera, while the Oukitel Z32's front facing camera is only 2 MP. Everything else I find online confirms this. The specs sheets you show at the begining of the video also confirm this. Unfortunately, I just hit confirm on my purchase on Gearbest of the OUKITEL Z32. I guess I should have independently confirmed this detail prior to purchasing. Your UA-cam channel was excellent in narrowing down my search. With all the smartwatches out there it I didn't know where to start before finding your channel. Keep up the good work.
Wow, sorry if I confused these two. There's so many different specs on so many different watches that it does happen from time to time. Appreciate you taking tome to report this.
@@SWT Thank you for the quick reply. I can see how it happens. I had no clue where to start. I actually was able to cancel the order and I placed the order for the Lemfo Lem12 instead. Your videos really helped me narrow things down. I really enjoy the videos and appreciate your efforts.
I believe Ticks has not mixed it up, he is highlighting the fact that who really keeps up to what they specify. For the front camera, LEMFO LEM12: Says 5MP but camera is 0.3MP OUKITEL Z32: Says 2MP and camera is also 2MP In summary, this particular model does not seem to have a 5MP instead 2MP only. In the case of LEMFO it is even worse. So you can be relieved that you dont have buyer's remorse from OUKITEL since you are buying from a brand who advertises exactly what the product spec is about. Mr. Ticks, excellent job, honest and thoughtful reviews and earned another subscription and counting!
You do a great job. Do you have a current watch comparison and like a top 5 smart watch. Or should I wait for a few months if something is coming out soon. Like the next 6 months that would be worth waiting.
I don't smell many new Android watches coming out for awhile. I'd go with the Genesis, personally, as the best on the market, followed by the Kospet Prime, unless you want an always on ambient screen type, then skip the disastrous battery draining Thor 5 Pro, and stay away from all those dual processor Android watches with the color ambient screens, and reach way back to the 1.39 inch AMOLED screen watches of early 2019 that had the simple, white, analog watch face for "Always Time" mode.
Mr. Ticks I want to ask if you could go a bit more in depth with the front camera difference. As you've pointed out, the camera specs advertised for these smart watches tend to be always wrong so, who's to say the front camera isn't actually a 2mp for both but only the Oukitel Z32 is up-interpolated up to 5mp???? I find it much more likely that they are EXACTLY the same inside and out but one is possibly up-interpolated and one isn't on the front camera, so I guess the only way to prove a TRUE difference would be to physically compare the front facing camera image samples from both watches, to see if there really is a difference.
That's what I did at the end of the video with the text photos. You see how confusing it all becomes when the lower res LEM12 camera (higher res according to specs) looks better than the same image from the Z32. All I can say, specs aside, is what you see is what you get.
I figured If I didn't have a clue, and I had both of them, you guys must be confused as well. It was fun discovering all these differences together. I don't think I would have looked this deep if it wasn't for to show you guys. Thanks for watching!
Yes, Just go to Settings, then Connect, then WiFi and turn it on. From there choose your router and put in your password. You're on! From then on you can swipe down from the watch face and toggle WiFi on and off from the icon.
Hello Dear Mr I bought Z32 Brand New First of all the Battery lasted half day, fully charged at 6:00 am at 12:00 pm the watch no power, it happened like that for 3 day third day its gone dead not charging at all waste of money with these watches.
I'll add they are 'similar' on the inside, but the closer you look, you'll find significant differences in memory, storage, battery size, screen technology, cameras, even number of buttons. What stays the same is the processor, and Android level.
Today is the first I found that there are stand alone smartwatches. I had a gear 2 neo I loved that won't work with my new OnePlus phone. I primarily used it for my long walks and hated carrying my phone simultaneously anyway. These are a great option, but so many choices! I've spent hours looking through the videos - yours are best! Any thoughts on which to consider over others?
Well, first of all, thanks for watching. I'm sitting here in a sea of watches and still don't know which to consider over others. It all depends on what you really want the watch to do for you. Being waken out of sleep apnea by a watch monitoring real time dips in your blood oxygen is way different than Vlogging over Facebook from your arm. Yes, they can do all this and much more. Here's the bottom line....You won't be happy with one watch. Or two. Most folks start feeling some level of satisfaction owning around 5 to 7 watches. So set aside about $400 or so and pick out the best of each "class". I'll get you started. Spovan Blade for that sleep apnea trick, and the Kronos Blade Genesis for Vlogging your Facebook friends. Now you come up with your list Kathy!
@@SWT thanks for the quick and thorough reply! I don't really have $400 right now, but if I did, getting a few to play with during this lockdown sounds like so much fun!😋Since you mentioned the Konos Blade Genesis, and I kept returning to that one in the videos, I went to the site to order. It says it's $150, but when you add it to your cart it says $175. So I figure the promo period is over, but it hasn't gone up to the $185 because of the virus situation. My question now is, are all the accessories still included in that new price? It looks like they would be, but then the price still looks like $150 until you click on it....?
BINGO! I almost bet money last night when Jason raised the price and I changed the info on all the videos that there'd be somebody ready to buy at the last minute. You must have slipped in right as all the changes were being adjusted. Yep, the $150 price was supposed to end mid-April as that's when the Genesis was to ship. Then it moved to May 1st, and never got updated until now. Since Jason actually has the watch packages and is licking the stamps to mail them out (figuratively, they're DHL tracking numbers), we all agreed now is the time to bump the price up for the remaining few from the first run so he can try and recover some of his losses because of the coronavirus setback and increase in shipping costs. I told him to stick with $185 as that's what we said would be the price, but he wants to try and make it affordable and held at $175. Yes, it includes the complete package as before. Still a very good deal, especially when considering this watch isn't available anywhere else in the world. If you get a Genesis, you might want to toss a Spovan Blade in the package just for fun. I think you'd really enjoy it, too. He probably can combine them for one shipping charge, too.
Haha, no, this was a lot of work and mainly we needed to see the difference between identical watches. I've got several videos on the Kospet PRIME, you just have to watch them all! I cover most of this, just not in one video.
Hello, if they both use the same firmware (which is implied by the version: Z32_LEM12_V1.2) the camera sensors should be: GC030A, 0.3MP with a 640x480 resolution. GC5035, 5.0MP with a 2592x1944 resolution.
Well, don't know what to say. The actual image dimensions are right there on the screen for both watches, and there's no way to bump up a 0.3MP image to 2592x1944! Thanks for the logic discussion. What you say makes sense, but reality differs.
@@SWT Those are the only camera sensor drivers present on the kernel itself. With the firmware V1.2 it is basically required to include those two listed sensors (GC030A and GC5035) or otherwise the cameras aren't going to work. The unrealistic resolution interpolation looks like the typical chinese marketing shenanigans to me. Edit: You should also be able to check what camera sensors are built-in with AIDA64. This Reviewer also came to the same conclusion: i-shoppers.net/obzor-lemfo-lem12/
Hi Mr Ticks Sent a long comparison with Genesis.yesterday, not sure if you got it yet Have done further tests today, and have down strongly in favor of the z32. Better display,in spite of reflective screen on the Genesis. Far better battery life on z32,under same conditions. Better strap on z32. All in all,Genesis disappointing.z32 as good as Kospet Hope. Z32 wins hands down,as a watch. Wilson Scullion.
It such a great video, I like how to go into the details of every feature. Please I need your help. I am confused between two options, which one should I buy? Lemfo LEM12 or Kospet Prime? which one is more durable and has better built quality? please please, please help!!!
@@SWT As I intend to use the watch for as long as I can, my actual concern is the build quality and durability, in that case which one would you recommend?
The camera pixel density is fake that is why. They just use lanczos, spline, or bi-linear, etc... to resize the image instantly. It's a dirty trick for sure, but at least the other one used the real native resolution rather than lying about it.
So far 5MP is the largest "true" camera module size we have seen. If you know of ANY smartwatches using true 8MP modules please let me know. That will be a game changer. BTW, I'v confirmed on the LEM12 that the front camera images measure 640x480. That calculates out to way less than 1MP, yet it's marketed as a 5MP front camera, right? Easy to check, just shoot a selfie and check "Details". Amazing.
Hey, I was going to buy Huawei GT2 smartwatch, and after seeing this watches, I got interesten in them. But the problem is that I already bought tons of straps for GT2. Can I use those straps with this watches? Thanks! Great videos!
I don't know much about the GT2, but if the bands are the standard quick release stick pin bands, then they should fit any smartwatch that takes the same size. Band sizes are usually listed in the specs of the watches on the buying page for each one.
@@SWT Thanks for reply. I have few more questions. How's the battery on LEM12? Huawei GT2 holds the battery 10-15 days on single charge, but for LEM12 I read that it holds it 2-4 days, and battery capacity is 450Mah vs 900Mah. Why? And how often do you receive firmware updates? Is fitness app updated, for example? Thanks.
Hello Mr. Ticks! Bought myself an Oukitel z32 after watching your review back in July! Now I have a question: can I install the Lemfo LEM12 firmware on my Oukitel? Oukitel don't provide any firmware updates unlike Lemfo. What would you say? Thank you in advance!
Hi. Was thinking of purchasing one of these. Do you know if they can run a few apps off the google play store? ie. Strava and other fitness apps Thanks, Sam
I tried once to order from AliExpress and they would not take my card unless I sent a copy of my ID witch I will NEVER do. Now I hesitate to use either of those sites.
I did not have that problem when I set up an account. You might want to try a different credit/debit card as that might be a requirement of your bank. Some are reluctant to extend credit for ordering from China.
Good Morning! Please ask a question and help, I have a Lemfo Lem12 as the ad, and it blocked the screen with a standard password (the one with scratchy strokes) but I didn't even register a password, you know how to proceed with this unlock or tell where I can get help THAT? Thank you very much for your attention, Marcos

Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch all of the new series on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last months xD
Mr. Ticks. Is there any way you could make a video on a group of any of these watches that will work on US carriers by carrier. Like one video for AT&T, another for T-Mobile. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I don't need to! They ALL work ONLY on GSM networks, and in the USA that's AT&T or T-Mobile (or 3rd party networks that use these carriers like: SpeedTalkMobile.com for smartwatch cellular calling, texting, 4G LTE Data. Use code: MRTICKS for SIM card free shipping. Plans start at $5. Video ua-cam.com/video/2BDW0w-D4cc/v-deo.html
@@SWT yet if you go to FrequencyCheck.com and check TMobile against a watch like the Lemfo Lem T it's not compatible with their frequencies and won't work with their Sims. I need a watch that is available in the US compatible with T-Mobile. I had an LG Watch Sport until it finally died last week. Currently there are no 4G watches running Wear OS that have the same functionality. Chinese watches that you review all look so amazing. Your reviews make me want to go out and grab one. But if I can't use it on T-Mobile frequencies it's worthless to me. That's my predicament. Any help would be appreciated. I still have my active sim from T-Mobile ready to slap into a new watch. I just need to know which one.
Good to know, but over my head. I just stick it in and it works. Not sure why, but I have T-Mobile SIMS and they seem to work in these Android watches.
@@SWT so you get 4G to work with your TMobile sim? Can you let me know if it works on the better watch from your last review? If so I'll order that one. Thank you.
I have bought a lem12 and can not make and receive bluetooth calls, even its paired with the phone. Playstore not work. A lot of problem. I not recomand it.
Neither the LEM12 or any other Android smartwatch running Android 7.1.1 can do Bluetooth calling. It's a restriction by Google added to the level 7 version. Bluetooth calling works on earlier Android 5.1 and some Android 6 watches.
It all depends on if the resulting network from the merger is GSM, as that's the only kind these watches support. It might be that they will work in some markets but not others. Phones don't have this problem because they are bigger and can have all the electronics to support all the different types of networks. AT&T and T-Mobile will work for Android watches in the USA.
i Wonder if you can just make a vidéo about it please 🙂 This is a simple request from an old follower, if it is possible, of course, because I do not want to cause you pressure or something like that.
Hi... I'm looking for a watch, similar to this one, that has the same big display & can connect to my android, via bluetooth, so I can recieve phone calls on the watch. I'm not sure if this one is able to do that.
You'll need to look at the older Android watches that run on Android 5.1. You can see one in action with Bluetooth calling support if you watch the LEMFO LEM4 review video.
With your Platform on youtube and as much as the kind of Great Commercials you are doing for the these watches, i think it would be great if you were to use your Platform to ask those companies if they now can produce or make these watches with better or more Updated Android so people can use the Bluetooth calling, i think they will make more money selling them. Please help us get that done.
SmartWatch Ticks What's your opinion on smartwatch cameras? Pretty ridiculous to me because they are useless. Instead adding gimmicks they should focus on bigger/better battery life & more useful features. Maybe someday watches will be able to last between charges like phones. Good review anyways. These two watches are pretty much copies of each other outside of a few differences.
They could be useful for some things. I can understand face unlock for front facing cameras, and possible document OCR conversion from a side (top for the Genesis) camera, or Google image translate, but not really high quality photos like you'd shoot with a phone.
All Android smartwatches will get warm if you use them for active processes, like UA-cam and video chatting. The battery will drain faster, too. The watch shouldn't overheat though.
Charges? In the battery test? Two, actually. One when it ran down, then charged up, then ran all the way out. Then charged again to see how much juice the dock would pump into a completely dead LEM12.
Translation back: The video shows the Lemfo watch only has 0.3MP Front Photo Quality no matter what the specs say. I believe what the watch actually shows. You can see it for yourself in the video!
Because only a few factories make these watches and sell them to companies that brand them with their own name and sell them to stores to sell to people like us. It is how things are done in China. Sometimes I finish a whole review and a viewer says, isn't this identical to the other one you reviewed a few months ago? Sure enough, I check and it's the same thing, but a different company and different model. So it happens all the time. Every now and then they may have different watch faces on them, so some other small changes, but the hardware is usually identical with different bands, perhaps.

Please can you make a video about kospet prime but about everything ?? Thanks for th video
Haha, no, this was a lot of work and mainly we needed to see the difference between identical watches. I've got several videos on the Kospet PRIME, you just have to watch them all! I cover most of this, just not in one video.
@@SWT thank you
Hello, if they both use the same firmware (which is implied by the version: Z32_LEM12_V1.2) the camera sensors should be:
GC030A, 0.3MP with a 640x480 resolution.
Edit:
You should also be able to check what camera sensors are built-in with AIDA64.

Hi Mr Ticks
Sent a long comparison with Genesis.yesterday, not sure if you got it yet
Have done further tests today, and have down strongly in favor of the z32.
Nope, didn't get it but saw your summary comment. Glad you're happy with your Z32.
I just ordered the Oukitel from gearbest for $127.
Awesome!!!
It such a great video, I like how to go into the details of every feature. Please I need your help. I am confused between two options, which one should I buy?
Lemfo LEM12 or Kospet Prime?
which one is more durable and has better built quality?
please please, please help!!!
Between just these two? The Prime has a larger battery.
@@SWT As I intend to use the watch for as long as I can, my actual concern is the build quality and durability, in that case which one would you recommend?
Is there a smartwatch that has all of these features plus ECG + PPG?
ua-cam.com/play/PLGZLicZ6A2vXkXWLguX0WPFgEDbpIbt2u.html
thanks sir please kospet prime take pictures and zoom like this video
Don't we already have pictures from both cameras in the PRIME review videos?
Amazing.
So wich one should I buy ."???????????
That is why I make these videos so you can figure that out for yourself!!!
Thanks.
Which android smart watch is best out of all in the market please reply
Genesis
Hello Mr. Ticks! Bought myself an Oukitel z32 after watching your review back in July! Now I have a question: can I install the Lemfo LEM12 firmware on my Oukitel? Oukitel don't provide any firmware updates unlike Lemfo. What would you say? Thank you in advance!
That's a great question to ask the tech support team on the LEM12 thread here: discourse.fullandroidwatch.org/c/lemfo-products/lemfo-lem12/92
@@SWT Thanks! I've done it!

Hi. Was thinking of purchasing one of these. Do you know if they can run a few apps off the google play store? ie. Strava and other fitness apps
Thanks,
Sam
Yep, they sure can. Just install them like regular apps from the Play Store app already on the watch.
The lemfo lem 12 sux don't get it the battery only last maybe 3 or 4 hrs then it needs charged.... Wouldn't recommend it
How can I hard reset.?
You make Brilliant videos!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching.
Have a look here Marcos:

If not there, look at other watches as they have addressed this issue in the past. Good luck!
Thanks for the Review, can you tell me if I can make and answer calls from the Smartwatch without using the SimCard and through connectivity with the SmartPhone?
No, you need a SIM
@@SWT not even a Hangouts call/answer on WiFi w/o SIM?
Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch all of the new series on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last months xD
@Simon Kash Yea, have been using InstaFlixxer for months myself :D
Mr. Ticks. Is there any way you could make a video on a group of any of these watches that will work on US carriers by carrier. Like one video for AT&T, another for T-Mobile. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I don't need to! They ALL work ONLY on GSM networks, and in the USA that's AT&T or T-Mobile (or 3rd party networks that use these carriers like:
SpeedTalkMobile.com for smartwatch cellular calling, texting, 4G LTE Data.
@@SWT bands 2,4 and 12 just to get by. Band 4 being the most important of all. Without band 4 on T-Mobile you might as well not have a sin installed.
@@SWT And using a App, its posible ir not ? Wich app, if exist ?
I was about to buy LEM12 for this month then just saw this video, what a disappointment from LEMFO and thanks for reports.
You bet. I try and report the honest facts about these watches. There's a new LEM12 PRO coming out soon which I'll be reviewing.
Hi, would be interested to know if the app "COIN" works on either of these devices, may well be a decider! :)
Sorry, I don't know that app. Anybody have time to try COIN for Alistair?
Will any of these smartwatches work with sprint now that is merged with t-mobile
Thanks

How many days lives batery?
Watch the video and use some math to figure it out from the information notes I provide you.
You have no idea how hard we are working on that in the background and have been for over a year now. It's not easy.
SmartWatch Ticks
What's your opinion on smartwatch cameras? Pretty ridiculous to me because they are useless. Instead adding gimmicks they should focus on bigger/better battery life & more useful features. Maybe someday watches will be able to last between charges like phones. Good review anyways. These two watches are pretty much copies of each other outside of a few differences.
They could be useful for some things. I can understand face unlock for front facing cameras, and possible document OCR conversion from a side (top for the Genesis) camera, or Google image translate, but not really high quality photos like you'd shoot with a phone.
Anyone pls let me know, LEM12 got warm????? I'm gonna buy a smrt wtch
All Android smartwatches will get warm if you use them for active processes, like UA-cam and video chatting. The battery will drain faster, too. The watch shouldn't overheat though.
How does these watches work with app like Snapchat and FB
They should work fine once you install the apps on the watch, just like you would on an Android phone.
@@SWT so do you have a video of you using Facebook or SnapChat
How many charges do you have like really
Charges? In the battery test? Two, actually. One when it ran down, then charged up, then ran all the way out. Then charged again to see how much juice the dock would pump into a completely dead LEM12.
That's really cool thanks smartwatch ticks

kospet prime se video
Already done. That was a BV (Before Virus) watch with a lot of videos covering lots of details here on this channel (which are still viewable).
Y are so many the same
Because only a few factories make these watches and sell them to companies that brand them with their own name and sell them to stores to sell to people like us.
