    Great great video, the Volvo is impressive and with 3 big green machines you need a big loader to get the job done, very nice!!!

      The Volvo moves allot of material in a hurry. It does the work of two tractors with loader. On the other end of this operation there are two John Deere 7230R tractors with loaders moving fast to keep semi trucks moving the fertilizer out to the field.

      No doubt. Consistent spread pattern is critic especially with litter. Not sure id be very impressed if they were my machines. You can see the amount of material the green one was able to apply while the same costs are being applied however the material isn’t. Awesome video mike.

      +Troy Meredith a chisel plow works in the litter and turns over the stubble.

    6-ton bucket? any bucket I ever ran was rated by volume, 6 yard maybe?

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  7 років тому +5

      They move the litter by the ton. The tractors each have a scale monitor in the cab. Each scoop moves the spreader closer to 20, 25 or 30 tons being loaded. BTP has a video on the way showing all the details of the litter spreading.

  • @ianBeer123

    You can sure see which spreader is doing the best job when they run side by side like that. Those litter spreaders simply can't do the even spreading job that the Bunning does with its' vertical beaters.

  • @johnbos9688
    @johnbos9688 7 років тому

    The Bunning spreader is just crushing the other two in terms of accuracy and spread pattern

  • @feelnrite
    @feelnrite 7 років тому +1

    Looks like the big spreader does a more even job of spreading the litter.

    That's an interesting bucket on the loader. What is the reason for a bucket that dumps like that?

    • @exileinderby51
      @exileinderby51 7 років тому +4

      Using a toe tipping bucket reduces the risk of it hitting the sides of whatever it is tipping in to because it tips at the height of the boom and doesn't drop below it.

    • @Dyno625
      @Dyno625 7 років тому +2

      That makes perfect sense. I never thought about it that way

    • @jacobskomager
      @jacobskomager 7 років тому +1

      Dyno 625 It increases the height of the tipping point, enabling you to empty the bucket from a higher position than the boom geometry allows = higher piles of litter in the spreaders.

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  7 років тому +1

      They measure the litter by the ton as the load it. The three spreaders hold the following: 20, 25 and 30 tons. The tractors have scale monitors in the cab and as each scoop goes in the scale moves up. BTP has a video on the way showing the spreading in detail.

    wow a johndeere 9000 r series tractor pulling that big of manure spreader wasting alot of fuel/ hr. the loader operator is doing a okay job you never wanna spin your tires as a loader operator. they might as well have a bull dozer pushing the chicken waste in to a bigger pile. Go Big or stay home I always say.
