no wonder those kittens look so happy to be there.. they're away from those awful humans who did that to them. sadly, this happens way more often than you would think. I've seen this reference too many times and I knew exactly what it was. it's extremely cruel and awful and should not happen period.
@@exodus6996 nooooo not at all, it's because sometimes when people don't want a litter of kittens that was born in their house for whatever reason, they will tie them up in a bag and usually put a brick or something heavy in it so when they throw the poor babies in the water they will sink and... Yeah... People do this in the real world and it is so awful and disgusting. They really could just give the kittens to an animal shelter but some people are too cruel to even think about that. And unfortunately, it's not just kittens that this happens to
no it’s just portraying the reality of the world in the early 1900s quite often people would do that to litters of cats and dogs, because they couldn’t afford to feed them
Another really dark episode is the one where Tom really loves this other cat and he’s trying to impress her but she’s being way too picky. He spends all of the money he has on a small diamond ring and tries to propose to her with it. When he does so, the female cat tom is trying to propose to rejects him and shows him a huge diamond ring that she got from another rich cat that she was seeing. She immediately leaves Tom heartbroken. Tom immediately sits on the train tracks looking really sad and Jerry comes along looking at a card of his love interest, but later sees his love interest drive in a car with another male mouse and the car says just married. Both of them sadly wait on the train tracks waiting to end things and in the last couple seconds of the episode you can hear a nearby train passing and that’s when it cuts off
Tom and Jerry are definitely my favorite childhood cartoon. There is a sound for everthing and gave me an appreciation for music. They also have the least amount of talking in their videos. As an Adult I like to fall asleep to them on UA-cam. 😊🎶 ✌❤🙏
The one that I always remember is when the little duckling thinks Tom is his mommy. Tom wants to eat him the whole time and the sweet little duckling doesn't realize it. Finally, Tom makes a bed for him in a pan and put him in the oven. The duckling goes along with it, and he's sad, but he's does it because it's what his mommy wants. That was so freaking disturbing and sad. But thankfully, Tom's heart grows three sizes that day.
Maybe because the 2nd half of the episode where Tom gets put in a boiling pot by Satan because he didn't get Jerry to sign his approval to Heaven in time.
I understood it as a kid. Back then, subject matter like that wasn't serious. Between the graphic violence of Tom and Jerry cartoons, and the violence of Warner Brothers cartoons, it was just another day. Man I miss these cartoons.
I always speak on this very episode of Tom and Jerry. I recall many years ago reflecting on this episode and thought "Boy this wouldn't fly in today's kids cartoons!" But this episode was perhaps one of the most poignant and beautiful animations I've ever seen in my life time. Even the manner in which it was actually drawn has this haunting hazy sort of beauty in it. The theme was so so mature and even scary when they showed Spike ,( Bull Dog) portraying the Devil. It was scary. Another episode I recall being as powerful was one in which a car is shown on a dark and rainy night driving over a small bridge and the window of the car opens and the driver throws out some kind of bag right into the stream below, then we see Jerry watching all this from the banks of the stream and we then see the bag actually moving. There is something inside. Jerry manages to pull it out and when he opens it it's a bunch of kittens) the rest of the cartoon was about Jerry trying to get the kittens out of the cold rainy night into a house that has this ice fireplace but the only problem is that Tom lives in that house and isn't having any of it. Eventually it all works out and Tom winds up actually liking the kittens and welcomes Jerry and them in out of the cold and rain. As a child I never really thought about how horrible someone had to be to throw those kittens in the water knowing they were killing those poor babies. Crazy how dark these two episodes were. If anyone recalls the episode I'm talking about please give a thumbs up to let me know you remember seeing it!
But those three cats are pretty annoying in the episode, people kill animals everyday. In the farm where the food are came from, in the house where we like to spray insect, and in the wild when we meet wild and hungry animals.
There is a popular theory that states that Tom and Jerry are actually friends, it suggests that Tom is pretending to hate Jerry like chase him like a cat would do in order to protect Jerry so, the owner of Tom won't replace him with a cat that would actually kill Jerry. There are some episodes in Tom and Jerry shows that show Tom and Jerry being friends to each other. So, this theory proves that Tom and Jerry aren't enemies to each other and they are both being friends by protecting themselves.
That's not actually a theory. It is an episode where that happens you can see see it for yourself where Tom gets in trouble by the house on there and threatened to be replaced if he doesn't catch and kill Gerry so Tom and Jerry make a pact 210 to chasten catch
I've removed the batteries from a few clocks in order to get some sleep… for me its like every tick starts the process of falling asleep all over so I can't even get close to doing off before another "Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock!!"
Something have to be wrong with all of yall... I was watching Tom and Jerry before even being old enough to enter school.... yes as child you can understand things so deep.... every Disney movie as a child was a life lesson for me... never enjoyable back in the 90's .... because they were all sad.. I cried during every movie I watched... the last straw for me was Oliver in company.... when the cat was being sold out of box.. the one cat that was left behind was washed down a flood and from there his life begans.... I paused the VCR and ran into the kitchen where my mom was cooking and beat her legs since less and yell, screamed and cried out to her...like why do you keep putting all of these horrible movies sad movies on... i remembers meeting my dad at 3 years old and never seeing him again after that.. I'm 29 years old now ... his eyes told me so much about him... and the things I struggle with today.. I just knew it came from him... I understood why he never came back either... my point is children perceive and understand things all more then you think... they see, feel and hear just as you do... give them more credit...

If you look at the ticket guy in the episode, he seems sorry for the three kittens
he's not sad, he's looking down
@@yassetgonzalez he actually was sad and something about how cruel people are.
@@yassetgonzalez he shook his head it means he feels bad for the kittens.

Surprised he didn’t talk about when Tom was trying to get jerry to sign the paper, that was actually dark
no wonder those kittens look so happy to be there.. they're away from those awful humans who did that to them. sadly, this happens way more often than you would think. I've seen this reference too many times and I knew exactly what it was. it's extremely cruel and awful and should not happen period.
i think it’s suppose to symbolize abortion, maybe not idk
@@exodus6996 nooooo not at all, it's because sometimes when people don't want a litter of kittens that was born in their house for whatever reason, they will tie them up in a bag and usually put a brick or something heavy in it so when they throw the poor babies in the water they will sink and... Yeah... People do this in the real world and it is so awful and disgusting. They really could just give the kittens to an animal shelter but some people are too cruel to even think about that. And unfortunately, it's not just kittens that this happens to
Still happens way too often.
@@exodus6996 No. It was common in the UK to throw a bag of kittens in the river to dispose of them.
@@playlistsaving2650 okay but like why? are we talking about street cats or house cats
The fluff, muff and puff part is so dark and sad 😭😭😭
😂😂😂😂
no it’s just portraying the reality of the world in the early 1900s quite often people would do that to litters of cats and dogs, because they couldn’t afford to feed them
Most goated cartoon of its era 💯
all time imo
Oh I realized and understood it. It was one of my favorite episodes. The bag of kittens always thought was pretty fkd up, even as a kid.
The sad thing is that this happens in real life as child murder
Both of them sadly wait on the train tracks waiting to end things and in the last couple seconds of the episode you can hear a nearby train passing and that’s when it cuts off
Yeah that episode was more disturbing than the one in the video . As a child, it got me disturbed even tho i only saw the episode once.
Ya I renember that it is very true irl for some people

Tom and Jerry are definitely my favorite childhood cartoon. There is a sound for everthing and gave me an appreciation for music. They also have the least amount of talking in their videos. As an Adult I like to fall asleep to them on UA-cam.

Yesss that episode hit hard. He adopted him, and even started swimming like a duck. "That's My Mommy"😅
Also said to have been Tom’s siblings. He was lucky enough to have been adopted
This was a really beautiful episode, no matter how much Tom and Jerry fought they actually couldn't stay away from each other.
Omg ,in my 40s & ❤ these Authentic Iconic cartoons Especially this 1 ,it was & is still 1,.of my favorites
This episode wasn't really scary to me. However I do remember getting a weird feeling after watching it and I didn't forget it to this day.
Maybe because the 2nd half of the episode where Tom gets put in a boiling pot by Satan because he didn't get Jerry to sign his approval to Heaven in time.
The satan looked like Butch or whatever his name idk
I remember watching this episode as a kid. Now when i watch it again... Damn
Tom was sent down to earth to be forgiven for the torment that he had done on jerry for all those years.
I understood it as a kid. Back then, subject matter like that wasn't serious. Between the graphic violence of Tom and Jerry cartoons, and the violence of Warner Brothers cartoons, it was just another day. Man I miss these cartoons.
Waaaay more graphic violence now!

It's sad, how time passes..

You have to he white if a cartoon made you realize that

Fun Fact: at the end of this episode it was ALL a dream and he woke up after his tail got injured by the fire.
