I agree with Rip. She's one of the strongest people out there, considering everything she's been through and she's still standing. That makes her an amazing captain in my book. I really like badass Sara but I love the softer side of her, something we don't get to see too often, sadly.
So touching to see how she managed to make her way become a captain. From my blood thirsty assassin to a fervent and Dauntless captain of the ship. There were thousands times in a season one of the show that I got pissed dismally just because Rip Hunter was so bad and terrible at being a captain. And everything turned out to be better when Sarah was chosen to be the next captain and remained her position until now.

What makes Sara a good captain is that she has always a solution for every problem and she cares about her team
No what makes her a good captain (except for the caring) is that she doesn’t always have a solution and isn’t afraid to ask for help.
