    Speaking from my background in art, Brenner, your talent and ability is exquisite. Even your mastery of creating the perfect tones and values of your pallet is impressive. I can't help wondering what your art would look like without using the photo references. I think your masterpieces would be phenomenal in a different way by using live studies. I'm just curious.

    • @brennerfineart
      @brennerfineart  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you so much for your praise :-)))) I have to admit, I am too slowly of a painter to work from nature...the light situation in an outdoor scene would change too quick to really get me even the underpainting finished. And I know my human models would either not be too happy me taking so much time to get them onto the canvas ;-))) So I prefer to work from a photo...on top I think this doesn`t make any difference. In fact, the photo catches the exact moment that I choose to paint while an outdoor scene would change dramatically just over the underpainting stage. And even Michelangelo would have taken reference photo if he had access to a camera not having to bother with tired models always changing their pose slightly but strong enough to confuse the Maestro. Yes...I am pretty pragmatic in this approach but this is SO convenient for me :-))) And on top of that - no one could paint along with me if I would just come up with a painting straight of my imagination. And that`s what my patreons want. Perhaps one day when I do this whole art thing as a full time job I will start to paint again from my imagination (what I did in my days as a fantasy illustrator) :-))))

    Ich bin auf deinen Kanal gestossen und finde deine Tutorials echt Klasse, vielen Dank. Ich hatte meine wasserlöslichen Ölfarben noch in der Schublade, da meine Ergebnisse mit Acryl bis jetzt besser ausfielen. Ich habe nun die Ölfarben wieder herausgezogen aufgrund deiner tollen tutorials und den Ergebnissen, die du damit erreichst. Ich habe schon viel lernen können. Verwendest du zum Verdünnen nur Leinöl oder auch eines dieser Malmittel?
    LG Christine

    • @brennerfineart
      @brennerfineart  3 роки тому

      Vielen Dank Christine :-))) Und super dass du es mit den Ölfarben nochmal probieren willst - die sind wirklich viel einfacher zu verwenden als die Acrylfarben. Du wirst sie früher oder später nicht mehr missen wollen :-))) Ich verwende hauptsächlich Leinöl, ich hab eine sehr "lahme" Maltechnik und das Leinöl hilft mir obendrauf noch die Trockenzeit ein wenig zu verlängern. Das ist besonders praktisch bei der Untermalung, wo die Farbe sehr schnell vom Malgrund aufgesogen wird.
