Dude, thanks so much for this!!! Just built one for my 2005 CRV with some minor changes. Used your 2nd build's base and then fitted some runners for the tabletop and covered the whole thing in interior trim, less glue, no pocket screws and hides the screws, then secured with 2 location pins. Stoked!
What height did you need for the legs to clear the rear seats? I sort of thought about 36cm for my 05 Cr-v. Also the front and back legs can be the same height right? As the floor is flat
@@bnosluoc4830 sorry, just saw this now. I used an extra sheet and made legs the same length as base section, i.e. created a box for storage, so no open sides and opted with either 400mm/450mm in order to clear the back seat when folded/use the folded back seats as support for the middle section. The headrest section folded out with piano hinge and I can set it to lean up against front seats, like a day bed, or lie flat for when sleeping, without building any additional supports.

You are an inspiration 👏🏽
Thank you for telling me the dimensions right away!.. Can you sleep a 6 foot person there or is it tight?
Sleeps a 6 footer now problem as long as they are less than 5 feet wide. 😁
Do you have a tent extension for your car? Next thing, I say! ...if not! 😆
I just bought a popup canopy with walls like they have at fairs. It’s kinda big so idk if it was the best option yet.
Thanks for the video. What is the weight of the overall build?
I don’t know exactly but I’d guess around 75lbs
Just take me money I need this 🥺
Simple and efficient! 👍
Well freaking done! I really aprreciate a.) the single piece of plywood and b.) the humility / "i dont know figure it out" attitude you bring to the youtube woodworking sphere
Thanks Earth All Night! I like your channel!
