- After being away for about 11 hours, Spirit comes back to the nest lured by Shadow's fish.

This is one of the sweetest things I've seen in a while. Shadow was all too happy to feed his little princess. Knowing very well she could eat that on her own. The bond is strong.

Hi my name is Holly O'Brien and I'm in love with a bird named Shadow! 🤣 Sure Jackie wears the pants but Shadow; gives breakfast, lunch and dinner, cleans the house (or builds it daily) and then....watches over his 2 girls 24/7. He is sooooooo sweet! Spirit you are one lucky kiddo to have such faithful parents. 💕

I knew she'd be back. She's not quite ready to be independent yet. I love she's spreading her wings n getting acquainted with the valley. Hunting isn't easy and requires learning, watching and practice. Baby girl must be hungry! She had an adventurous day 💖🦅💖
I love the little whistles she makes while Shadow is feeding her. Such a little princess, but so patient and polite, waiting for her papa to feed her. Shadow knew how to entice her back to the nest with that fish! So precious when Shadow gives her the tail 16:59, which he usually keeps for himself. He's such a great dad! What was that in Jackie's talons? I just love this family! 🦅🦅🦅

It seems that the dad's are the ones who continue to bring the food for their kid(s). It's almost like they want to keep spoiling them for as long as they can. Not too much squeezing, more almost like chirping. I could hear Jackie in the distance, probably yelling at Shadow for pampering his girl. True love is awe inspiring among these beautiful creatures. I guess they know better than us what it's like to survive in their world.

Today was the last day of school and I was so happy to be able to show them spirit fledging since we followed her when she was just an egg. She fit so perfect into her life science unit of living things.
Loved how daddy Shadow fed his sweet Spirit who appeared very happy to be fed. And Shadow even let her have the rest of the fish...sweet! Appears Jackie wasn't gonna share her meal with anyone...appears she had something clutched in her talons.
Looks like Jackie did a drive by and saw sassy big girl there and kept on going 😆 Jackie didnt want to share 😄

E visto otros nidos! Y ellos no se van al primer vuelo, ellos tardan aún en irse definitivamente! Primero tienen que explorar y aprender a pelear su comida! A agarrar palos, darse unas duchas en la laguna y después estarán listos para irse ! Veo el de Florida , y E19 y E20 tardaron de 3 a 4 semanas en emprender el vuelo definitivo 💞

'submissive' and whine/ beg for Food!! Dad sure fed her then!! The lessons she learned recently from parents NOT giving her fish or stealing! her fish and eating it all ...paid off!! Spirit as an only child has a LOT to learn, especially she is NOT First in line anymore for Food...and needs to wait, hunt her own and not ASSUME that WHINNNNING and TANTRUMS will get her , want she wants!!
