Love this. I believe that you need te practice this. A lot of people who only use thick boxing gloves don’t hit correctly. It causes injury’s and a lack of power.

people have been trying to figure out the source of people's punching power for ages, and even myself in my physics class I did a project on it and after spending a semester on it I still could not give a concise clear cut definition on what causes it. People like Shavers, Julian Jackson, Hearns, Foreman (who was probably the strongest heavyweight ever) Marciano, and others all had it. For sure its part strength, speed, force at the moment of impact, timing, and some people on here also had some good ideas, all of these things played a part. Who do you think had greater KO power in their prime, say at 154 pounds, Julian Jackson or Tommy Hearns?

its not rocket science ffs, if you know anything about physics you should know force=mass x acceleration, some men are bigger in weight and hit hard cos of that like any heavyweight vs lightweight. within a weightclass its to do with arm length and reach, sonny liston had massive armspan and big hands as did Hearns, others its technique also such as foreman who threw really wide hooks and haymakers, others use more speed like tyson did, and it also depends on who your punching, some have better chins and get knocked out so using KO as a metric doesn't always make sense

@@user-fl6jn1wb2t of course f=mxa but when you use that formula the force has to be there at the moment of contact. with human subjects what we found is that that doesn't always happen. if you measure the speed and force during a punch you'll see that sometimes the force varies throughout the arc of the punch and at the moment of impact it drops off. in some cases it increases. apparently you've never actually done that experiment, which I admit takes some time and equipment. f=mxa only works with mechanical forces not human movement.

@@user-fl6jn1wb2t also by the way, the object of the experiment was not see see how you can take a punch so that was never considered.

@@Suf_92Was just about to post that 👌G-Man. He also pulled himself down to 160 pounds when he was most likely a natural light heavy. Extra power, along with the Thomas Hearn's technique. 🥊

I think they're thin bag gloves. Alternatively, you could maybe use MMA gloves instead.

I know rival has a pair of thing gloves called rb5 bag mitt gloves as well as ringside has a glove that has a thing layer of padding. But I’ve also heard some people say they use gardening gloves with the fingers cut off

There are gloves named "punching bag gloves," which are like the gloves that thomas hearns is wearing (0:35) but with more padding, but let's the fingers out.
There are thinner gloves named "Arawaza punching gloves" which are thinner

BS he had 17 straight ko when he first turn pro, those gloves are called jett kundo gloves Bruce Lee used them, cause it allowed you to grapple to, trained at kronk, and all over Detroit,it was a lot of KO punchers down there if you listen to Emanuel Stewart when he trained you, you developed the technique, that's why I say sugar hill not that good of a trainer, cause Fury can't punch, guy that sizes and length should have more KO, Wilder went down from exhaustion more than the punches, Stewart stopped working with amateurs, after the 80s

Jeet kundo gloves, and they won't make you punch harder, Bruce Lee used them, cause you can grapple with them, sugar ray Leonard did to, I think Hearns copyed the ideal 😆
