Played 50+ games..Close controls are nerfed which makes midfield battle very hard and keep loosing possesion.Sound output is not great.Game has become very technical which is kinda good thing..First touch is very important and an extra unnecessary touch you loose possession.Dribbling is slightly clunky and unresponsive which takes away the technicalities of the game.Not gonna lie game has become realistic and will become fun to play if certain issues addressed.Controls need to feel more crisp.Matchmaking for online pc takes lot of time with certain matches abandoned due to servers.And also there is certain input lag.Different colour power bars for different pass support would be a great addition.Nonetheless Pes is moving towards right direction and if konami does address our issues we should definitely be more supportive of the game!
3 major flaws for me so far are:
- AI is not creative when attacking. They are obsessed with going wide and if you block wings, they sometimes glitching near touchline until they go out of play. But its an easy fix.
- second is big one. Ive noticed on good few occassions my players chose a different target to pass than I picked. Clearly holding direction one way, passes another. Happens especially in mid field (wing), when i wanted to play to central MF, but it sent a long through ball to CF instead. That was all on PS1. It should help you a bit with trajectory, not pick different target. Its not FIFA. Never happend to me on PES before.
- advantage after foul needs fixing. Sometimes referee goes too far back. Team gets advantage, plays out the attack, miss the goal at the end and they get a fouls from way back.
Rest works fine by me and for me personally its a big step up from 2018. Even with the flaws above it feels more natural, realistic and smooth than 2018. Looking forward to full release.
The referee is horrible as well... Almost every time you make a foul you get at least a yellow and when you need to get yellow you get red🤦♂️

I think alot of the negativity stems from the fact that this game requires players to vary their attacks and strategies and play differently to pes 2018. I personally like that as its not just cosmetic changes the developers made.
i play myclub and i fear its going to be full of lag cheats and heavy scripting again.
People need to understand that a game can't be 100% perfect in less than a year time.PES 19 is amazing and is really fun to play. Games will have issues you need to understand. PES is really good this year.

I love first touch! This is what they talked about in 2016. Takes more caution and tactical. I love anything that makes you think just ahead of making a move.
The more i play the more i like it, wasn't convinced at first but still not 100% happy with it really.
Thank you for the video. I'm really enjoying the demo. Graphics are breathtaking, crowd is amazing, game play as solid as ever and improved. I have heard people talking about the randomness of injuries and players pulling up and l am okay with that because injuries are, in a way, random. You can be absolutely fatigued but not necessarily pull a hamstring. I thought the goalies in 18 were well balanced. Haven't had enough sample size for 19. Goalies aren't perfect in real football as witnessed in the World Cup. Generally they make the right plays in PES. I agree with the Al playing with more purpose. At times, they play beautiful football but, at other times, you don't feel threatened about them scoring. I thought the Al in superstar last year was very good. Keep up the great content!

The first touch is fckn amazing especially with speedy players who have a higher ball control rating. Double tapping the sprint button right when you receive the ball and moving the left analog can create some slickass animations. This was already in 2018 but it seems like it's been improved on this year
My two big gripes: players still don't respond to passes (on manual) consistently enough. The game is selecting which player should receive the pass, when sometimes you just want to deliver a faster ball to a closer player, that closer player will not receive the ball even if it's at his feet. Secondly, there's no logic to how fouls are called.
Otherwise, this game has potential.
This is one of my main concerns too: A full bar of power doesn't even make the ball travel that far. You can't even ping a fast, low pass along the ground to a near player or even a far player. Same applies with switching play from wing to wing. Too floaty and not enough zip. Can't play a quick 70 yard pass.
Use the game time patch. Longer matches really makes a difference!
I really love the game. I thought I would just think it would be good but it exceed my expectations. Yeah there are a few things I don't like but overall it's awesome. One big issue is that when you play online everyone uses pass support 3 or 2. Which is dumb.
Fabian Mendoza if you play no support pass and search for players with the same setting, you won't be matched up with 2-3 support nubs.

I checked out the injuries myself. 2 players got injured in the same game. Went with gegenpress, aggressive and Frontline pressure.

Manual passing ( unassisted ) is the best. Try it - and master it, and you won't go back.
it's not really manual though. To get full manual you need to tape in the L2 button lol.

nope. It has been like that for years in PES. Ever since unassisted passing was introduced. Hold down L2 even with unassisted and you will tell the difference straight away :)
I noticed that the AI gives away more fouls in a realistic way. I was also able to draw a foul out of the AI at one point, at least it seemed that way.
people who says the graphics looks like pes 18 have some eye problem or they've only watched videos on UA-cam...play the game people! 3.6 GB demo is available...the graphics look photo realistic...it feels the same as 18 because of the cut scenes are mostly same...it's a huge improvement in graphics...I bet FIFA won't come near pes in terms of graphics...in some lighting players look like Real life.
Super Console Gamer FIFA is the one which is looking and feels the same for years...only thing they improve is the presentation and adds features like Real managers and bench players etc etc
I love PES Just switched Back Since PES06. Its just a solid realistic Football with ball weight, & no Nonsense street moves. USB download update makes it perfect!! 🙌🏼
Speed is 👌🏻.. Manual or Level 1 Passing a must, ditch the other two. Sincerely hope Konami don't mess up the full game like 2018. Happy with what they've done this year.. Those Graphics. 😍
i agree, i use manual passing and shooting too. SO MUCH fun even online. As every pass and goal is earned, and i feel i control, any pass assistance feels like i'm not even playing, everything done for me.

I've played couple of games in 2019 demo and I'm owner of 2018 version (previously I've tested 2017).
Here are my small thoughts.
15 Things which Konami should improve in PES 2019 (or at least in PES 2020).
We all know FIFA has bigger community like 85% to 15% PES players. Now PES has lost CL and EL licenses. PES in general lacks with licenses. But I don’t care. The most important is gameplay. Konami should go a bit different way than FIFA. Each version of PES should be polished in gameplay, extend a bit “edit mode” and improve Master League and tactics. If Konami wants compete with EA, they should implement more Football Manager features which gave PES more realism. So I hope that Konami fix these things this year (or at least in PES 2020):
1. Injuries - in PES 2018 I had just ONE random injury in 7 seasons ML and it wasn’t on the pitch. I’ve make a lot of various transfers in the first year because I’ve thought longer bench will be crucial at the end of the season. Of course we need just a few injuries during a season, with different time to recovery. Similar to FM. Now I see in demo that the problem is probably fixed (visible fatigue). Nice!
2. Better shots. Why in 2018 so many shots are missed near the posts or in the centre in 100% goal situation? Maybe this is good solution for more realistic final scores. I don’t want to shoot so easy like in FIFA but anyway Konami has improved this aspect this year. Bravo! Hope it’s better than year ago.
3. Overpowered goalkeepers - this point is not so important. Similar to point above. I know several years ago goalkeepers in PES were terrible. I prefer overpowered GKs than underpowered. Anyway they should make some mistakes depends of form and don’t be like Superman in every single game.
4. Form arrows. Strange thing when Your striker few days before shot a hat-trick and in the next game has red down arrow... Actually I don’t know how it works but probably the arrows have some impact to the players performance.
5. Player ratings after the matches! Come on, it’s not so tough to that properly. This confuses me so much and steal immersion from a game. For sure there is some mathematic algorithm to that in a good way (when You play 3 vs 3 it’s better). Why man of the match is in 99% scorer or GK? Why GK who conceded 10 goals has the same 5.5-6.0 rating like the rest of the team? Konami - implement smth like in Football Manager. You can make even this weird 4.0 to 8.0 rating range but it needs huge improvement.
6. Ball physics - here improvements are noticeable! Good job :) Anyway every year it’s nice to do improve this crucial aspect.
7. Realistic transfers and youth teams - price is one side but why so many European players move to South America? It’s quite odd. Youth team in Leicester? Just one English player and rest of the from all over the world. And here is also a problem with...
8. Regens - sometimes is nice to have some players with authentic faces and possibility to have young Messi or Buffon in a team. But there should be an option to create random regens with different range of potential and skills.
9. Huge improvement of Master League and Become a legend - more similarities to FM. More depth as You claimed in video. More options.
10. Chasing the wingers and strikers/fast paced players problem - this issue is probably solved in 2019 edition.
11. Online Servers - better matching, less lagging please... (maybe in UK You have better servers).
12. Better replays, scoreboards, standings - it will be nice to see full standings at the beginning of the match, or during half break. Replays sometimes are messed.
13. Edit Mode - Bundesliga with real Germany map line in the Master League - e.g. I want to send scout to Germany, but I cant because there is only “rest of Europe”.
14. Budget slider - not a big deal but some improvements are needed.
15. A little better responsiveness of players - I know better animations sacrifice responsiveness so game should be just a little improved in this area.
To sum up PES chance is going to be more simulation football game with a massive depth of options (closer to Football Manager) but giving simple fun on the couch with Your mate as well.
A BIG flaw in the demo has been discovered in some other videos on this game. The A.I. tends to frequently play the ball out wide excessively. This to me would be a game breaker if not corrected with a patch. Someone needs to make Konami aware of this so it can be fixed before the final version is released. But experience tells us that the demo is pretty much what the final product ends up being.
I will be reading the reviews of the official game, and if it's not fixed, then I will stick with my trusty PES 2017.

I love the game so far. Does it need improvements? Yes, yes it does, but luckily we got live updates and hopefully we have a good support team to listen to our cries. I feel like this game will be amazing. The physics lives up to my standards. For example I make a cross into the box or a pass into the box and when the players line up for the shot it looks amazing simply undescribable. I can see how it can be alittle weird when you have world class games with your team and then all of a sudden you aren't playing at your best. That seems realistic to me because not everytime a player or a team steps out onto a pitch they play well. Realistically you will have good and bad games some games you will go on a downswing if you make certain changes in your teams tactics. I believe most issues we have with the game can be fixed with a patch or two which is good. For example some say dribbling is alittle clunky or AI needs to be better. Those are simple fixes that can be fixed in a patch or two if they listen to our cries. Game speed needs to remain the same. I like picking out my options and not be bomb rushed and being forced to make a quick decision and it messes me up. All in all I give the game a 8/10 if they can tweak alittle bit more it can be a 10/10. Like if you agree.
My fear with full manual is that player stats lose all significance. What's the difference between a player with good passing stats vs one with bad passing stats if you are in control of everything. I would never play on PA2 or PA3, but feel that PA1 provides the best balance. Someone let me know if I am wrong tho. Not an expert on how this game works.
Udo Obiechefu I have been playing manual for 8 years trust me players do not lose their significance. If anything it makes those individuals stand out more. If I want to make a defence splitting pass I'd rather pass it to Messi for the end product rather than Umtiti. You can feel the strengths and weaknesses more of that individual on manual.
this year passing seems to be a lot more variable even on manual, the direction your facing, speed etc. It doesn't seem like all the passes are created equal.
Oh yeah and I also feel like the players off the ball movement (especially in relation to the Advanced Tactics) is is much improved from 2018. Playing with a team like Liverpool is especially enjoyable because their front 3 are constantly moving and switching positions with each other especially on the counter you even have the fullbacks sometimes cutting in when they are completely free on their wing
Pros: graphics, more responsive. Cons: ai is bad, free kicks are so easy to score. That's all I can think of.

With manual passing you can place the ball where you want it. I especially love playing weighted passes into space. When you first use manual your passes will go astray often, because you aren't used to how much effort is needed to place the ball where and to whom you want it. But persist with it and your pass success ratio WILL improve. It takes more concentration and judgment to use manual, and that reproduces what players have to do in real life matches.

Yeah I also love manual passing it makes it so much more realistic and also rewarding when you pull of that long ball through two defenders just right. The only thing kind of bugging me about it is that while in your posession it makes it look really realistic, as soon as the opponent gets the ball you can see these guided passes just perfectly placed after a no look 180 turn which kind of ruins the immersion for me and gets me frustrated from time to time.
I played manual starting with fifa 11 i think. Then i moved on to pes as i think year by year fifa seems to support people with assisted more than manual and the gameplay became so generic and boring. Anyway, i tried the demo with pass support 1 and most of the time i was like wth why my pass is going there lol. Really awkward feeling when i knew i had misplaced a pass but it still went to the right player. Haha

The pace of the game is quicker, it doesn't feel like you're playing in slow motion like the previous games.

For me, yes. I think it's more realistic.
There's a much more pronounced difference between different types of players too. Van Dyk really feels like steering a tank, you really gotta make sure to point him in the right direction well in advance... lol Mane on the other hand... :) I like it!
Pc has some graphics problem. While I'm playing it's 60 fps. But at the start of the game, while the stadium shows up the frame rate is 12 fps. Same settings as Pes 18. And Pes 18 ran so smoothly.
Shooting feels a bit of also hope they sort it passing n build up play is fantastic
I think the assistance 2 and 3 is good for young kids who like football but can't play on assistance 1. If you don't want to play on assist 2 or 3, then you don't have to?
Every preview of every new PES game has people saying they've slowed the game speed down.
In 5 years time, we'd be playing it in slow mo.
Its the best football sim I've ever played. I'm gonna put an order in PES universe for membership to get my kits etc! Can't wait to start a Master League on my channel.
Yes the game has flaws, but IMO they are minor and can be easily fixed. The tempo is good, the graphics are outstanding and I think the AI is much cleverer (other than forcing wing play!). Overall, I am very excited about the full release!
I agree with most of your analysis, but I take issue with your view on the goalkeepers and pass support. The goalkeepers can be manually controlled at all times, so in a one on one situation, the skill gap between players is evident. A seasoned player has to know when to bring him out to close down the angle or not. It's the same with player runs, although attackers make runs, you can also initiate forward runs. It'll be too easy if the keepers came out and made the right decisions all the time.
As for the pass assist, personally, I play on PA1. But it's strange to advocate for removing PA2/3. Konami needs to expand their appeal and sell as many copies as possible. Some people don't have time or aren't willing to sit down and learn/concentrate on every pass to make sure it's perfect, and Konami has to cater to them. It makes no sense to exclude a segment of the market just to make a "purer" gameplay experience.
8/10 seems like a fair score for the demo. Konami has done well so far, they seem to have cemented their gameplay edge over FIFA. Now they have to focus on the commentary and make the modes more in depth.
Darren Gorin I agree. There should be pass support restrictions, but that's different from getting rid of PA2/3 altogether.

Yes completely agree about pass support,I use 1 but now going with no pass support as it really makes you think hard about how to play.Agree with the replays too,appreciate it’s a small thing but manual replays are too restrictive still.

PES demo i've enjoyed it's definitely better than 18 without the catch-up mechanics , thinking about it now maybe this is why we have more space now because the scripting has been turned down from 18 .
In general I'm pleased with the demo but the full game might be different definitely a 7/10 it's not perfect by far but improvements have been added but still has old problems what PES has suffered in years .

Physical battles are still poor in PES and much better in fifa. They really need to rework them. AI bumbs into you lighty and you lose the ball. Very annoying.

Pass Support Off just feels so weird, since it doesn't feel like it makes any difference which player you're using

Pes 2019 is by far a major upgrade over 2018 gameplay-wise. LOL and licenses mean nothing anymore fifa can have UCL it will get boring so quick tbh.
This is the first time i enjoy PES offlline AND online. Once you learn to score and adjust to the new game, i like it more and more. Online has little delay with few exceptions. Nice Konami!
All those FIFA fanboys on Xbox should do themselves a favour, Trade it in for a PS4 and download the option files from PES Universe..👌🏻

While I agree that pass support 2 and 3 make the game trivial, I don't think they should get rid of them. Accessibility is hugely important! Assists like these open up games to people with a variety of disabilities.

Welcome to manual controls, you will enjoy the game more and will improve a lot now there's no going back to assisted, you will feel guilty and bad inside if you go back to assisted.

Anyone else have this problem? When I order a player to make a run with L1 + right stick, sometimes that player will just stop running and will jog slowly, which is very annoying and needs fixing.
My biggest issue with PES and it's been this way for a few years now is the dribbling. It's virtually non existent in this game, anytime a player closes you down or you try run past them, you ALWAYS lose the ball. It's like the game forces you to pass, pass, pass when in reality dribbling is just as important as passing. Doesn't matter if you use Messi, the turning is too slow and every single player has NO strength on the ball, not even someone like Pogba.
If there's one thing Fifa does perfectly it's the dribbling, you're able to beat players off the dribble. They turn brilliantly, it's fast and it's effective, plus you can hold players off!
I'm convinced that PES have it programmed in the game that if you make any sort of contact with someone who's dribbling, you'll win the ball back.
Other than that the gameplay resembles real life football far more than Fifa does, that's not to say it's better.. But it certainly plays more like a sim than an arcade.
As an offline player, my biggest gripes are:
1) Complete lack of creativity with the dribble from the CPU. It's no more difficult to take the ball from Messi than from Giroud, and I've literally never had a CPU opponent fool me with a dribble move, going back several years now. They don't even try to beat you off the dribble, they just pass the ball around quickly.
2) Fouls are better but I still don't find the tackles to be effective enough to justify using them. End result is that all the fouls are called on the CPU.
3) I've seen 1 yellow card in about 20 games with the demo. Zero reds. Still haven't seen a penalty shot in probably 2 years.
4) Far too much space, as always. No muck in the midfield.
5) Physical collisions aren't done well. I'd love to see more tussling.
6) Shooting is as OP as ever. Super easy to consistently put shots on goal from 30-40 yards. Finesse shots always find the corners and the keepers really struggle with them.
7) Sprinting still sucks. Feels like you're stuck in the mud when you try to knock the ball out in front of you. It takes away from the players who really have a lot of pace.
Still the best PES game to date, but in my opinion it's a marginal improvement from last year. I'll probably wait for a sale.

I see you taking control of your players before the pass reaches them, ye are able to move them towards the ball, what button is that? I can't control my guys before they receive the ball

what happemed to sponsorships and staff eg , athletic trainer, club doctor, midfielder coach, defender coach, striker coach and youth team level.
Are the keepers better this year? I found them pretty good on 18 so hope they haven't regressed
Agree with pretty much all of this. I'm a manual player too and I'm finding through balls (both normal and high) difficult to connect with in the demo.

I cant seem to dribble to save my life in the demo. My players get disposed when ever they get anywhere near the opposition
Im enjoying the demo, but the technical bugs needs to be fixed and optimized on release day on pc in order to warrant a buy from me.

PES still perseveres with only two men jumping for the same ball. So long for the football simulation.
Also, they really need to learn how to program Manual controls. The ball is too light and it takes way too little time to charge the bar up. Not to mention, Manual feels far from manual, if you pass it in the general direction of your teammate, it feels exactly like it's assisted.
for me its unplayable due to being stuck on 30 fps in fullscreen on windows 10, my pc exceeds recommended requirements ;/

When you first launch PE S2019 it also launches a settings.exe file that asks you that sort of settings. You can find this file by default in the game's Steam installation folder (or wherever else you installed it). Just double click it and find the FPS options for replays and for the main-game.
Windows 10 has an issue with some games in 4k at full screen. There's is a fix for this so just full screen window and it'll be full speed. This is be common issue with some video games on windows 10 4k
The AI it seems have been programmed to take the game in the second half. I've noticed that most of the games, the AI defends in the first half and comes up the pitch to attack past the 70 minute mark to take advantage of the 'visible fatigue'.
Cut scene presentation is all that lacks as far as on pitch action is concerned to make a decent game. Cut scenes are a bit abrupt and take time to skip, and that awful awful circle loading Sign needs to go back in time.
Fantastic gameplay but not sure how people are saying the pitch colour is finally sorted. It's improved but it's still awful. When the game starts and I'm reminded of it, my heart sinks!

It means the player is playing on Manual and not one of the Pass Assist modes.
forgive me if im wrong but I coulda sworn top player IS meant to be easier than superstar? or have I had this mixed up the whole time. I think the game is amazing and cant wait for it to come out
First of all, I've played many PES 19 Demo games and its the best football game I've played. There are 3 tweaks the Konami need to make in order for it to be better.
1) Manual Shielding
2) Keeper Animations - Good overall but I think in some cases the keeper saving shots at height seem unnatural (not enough frames captured). Keeper dive heights just seem off? And yes keepers being more aggressive coming off the lines
3)Placed shot ball physics still seem off and these shots also normally result in the above point that keeper dives being unnatural as a combination, cheapen the game.
If these can be addressed then I believe Konami would have the perfect football sim ever.
Love the demo. Do we know who the commentary team will be in the retail? Jim Beglin's reading was terrible, I hope he's been re-recorded or replaced.
Idk why my pc has a problem with this. It exceeds the recommended specs by miles . It only opens through big picture mode where I turn on big picture controller for pes, and it just doesn't work. Any fix? There's huge lag too. But it shouldn't be because I have atleast 60fps in battlefield 1 ultra
Pace is slowed down ya but I noticed few forward passed speeds up the game in an unnatural way. Anybody else noticed this?
keepers closing down and cpu 90% of the time tries to get ball to the wing even when there is a chance to go right through the middle

Why dont you use time extender on PC.
Scoring from crosses /headers seems to have been nerfed a touch. Was too easy to score from crosses on 18
camera and camera settings please. Thanks.

I wish the CPU would be less accurate overall ( shooting & passing ) when playing full manual. Don’t tell me it’s the case because it isn’t..
anyone else get annoyed at little things that have been in the game for years like the scoreboard disappearing immediately after every time the ball goes out of play, or when a goal is scored? i don't understand why they've not fixed this, it just disrupts any sort of realism you get from when you're watching a match on tv.
They need to get rid of the option for your opponent to skip your goal replay that should be in your control.....player response could also be better still takes too long to take a shot
Commentary needs to be better i hope and they do something better when it comes to presentation like pre game,halftime or a post game report
