Lovely ideas I may use gold for the Star. An idea for people for using something none slip under work I bought a silicon cooking mat from IKEA it excellent I just then hold my paper down not sticking and it doesn’t move at all. Additionally I can pat ink blocks on it for a little pool of a colour and the distress inks pool into little beads and you can start on it so as to remove from your tool mine even has circles so I use one per colour and leave the ink behind to remember which is which and it just wipes clean it is a cheap alternative to a blending mat I just remove it when cutting. You can also spritz water on it I was looking for alternative to ink blending mat it’s not quite the same but it is good
Oh Debra, your backgrounds are splendid! Each one of these cards is just so peaceful! Its -3c here and the snow just started again. It was a perfect time to watch your video with the snow falling outside the window. I needed a little peace after the HUGE embossing powder accident I'm still cleaning up!
@@AtticLane We used to have snow on the ground most all winter but that hasn't been so in 10+yrs. Oh of course its not global warming, that isn't real..{rolls eyes}
Lovely! And thank you so much for the demonstration of the dry baby wipes to get the oh so soft color suggestion snow mounds and shadows. All of these cards were wonderful, all the demonstrations showed something different and worth trying from the hazy yellow behind the star to the touch of glitter on the horizon. Wonderful video!
Thank you for my video - LOL! I will happily share so everyone can enjoy. I must say that fox and mice card is the absolute essence of Peace on Earth and I would certainly put that sentiment on this particular card. It looks like the animals have paused in their normal routines of being predator and prey in order that they may enjoy the Christmas star. PERFECT. Love your cards and especially the glimmery, sparkly stars. I will have to remember to add those dots of glue next time I emboss as that really adds to the scene.
Oh my another stunning bunch. I am craving to get in my craft space, but sadly my uni work is so intense at the moment I can’t. I still have to watch your creations though to get my fix 🤪👍👏
Hi Deborah, thank you so much for your inspiring tutorial. Your cards are fabulous. I was wondering, what size are your cards please? Thank you so much for sharing x❤
Another beautiful set of cards, thank you for walking us through them. I may need to change what I call you from CSS (Crafty Soul Sister) to CES (Crafty Enabling Sister), as I'd thought I had all the Wow embossing powders I could need, until I saw Metallic Platinum. :o)
Hi again :) Nursing and chemistry sounds practical and useful. I live in corporate land and negotiate contracts for a large European company and I enjoy that but crafting is my escape into creativity. I find it meditative and calming :) xx
Beautiful cards ❤thank you
Wow. Love your techniques.

Angela Fishburn - quite jealous that you have snow! 😊
Uh ohhh, embossing accident doesn't sound good!! We don't know if we will have snow this winter, it's never certain :) x

Ah hah I like CES! I usually mix my own embossing powders but that platinum is a bit groovy :) xx
Beautiful cards💗💞💖
Beautiful cards. Thank you for sharing some really useful tips too. Can I ask, is the card you are using gloss or Matt?
Hi there - I usually always use matt card. I did try this on glossy, smooth card but the ink travelled too much - so I stuck with the matt :) xx
Can I ask what you do for a living? ( if you do). I've been curious quite a while. I'm now disabled but have my Bachelors in Nursing & Chemistry.

@@AtticLane I had an idea you were in that type of field as you're so well spoken. Thank you for sharing!
I use mask paper.
Yup, that's good too as are those post it notes with the sticky all over the back. :)
