TENFITMEN tennis impulse thanks for the response! I am really curious how it was like hitting with Novak. He seems to hit a lot flatter than I thought. Is this true? I've hit next to Andy Roddick a few times and his shots have a completely different trajectory. You can obviously see that Andy puts alot of effort in brushing the ball but I dont see that with novak. It looked like he was slapping everything against you.

Thanks for your comment and interesting story. As I can remember, Alex was able to produce a bit heavier shots with less power, maybe due to heavier swing weight of the racquet or maybe the mechanics of the swings. However, Chungs shots were just so super clean and smooth, it was a pure joy to play with him!

Thanks so much for your comment and advice! I actually spent years in making my backhand more or less consistent, but I did it with a bit extreme grip on my dominant hand which gave me more difficulties to generate a lot of top spin on every shot! That kind of backhand felt very solid, but when I played with these guys, when I watched the videos I recorded, compared the technique AND also after reading some comments (including yours), I realized I need to change it so it can become much more solid! And actually that happened today! I had an amazing moment! I hit some backhands like never before. So I am changing my backhand! More on this soon in future videos! @TennisCourtSIdeView 5 років тому

I often say to people, it is the best form of coaching to hit with higher level players as you cant simulate that experience. In a way it is easier because, like chung in this video, they hit so cleanly and have such control of their ball flight it helps your reading of the ball - you just have to learn to react quicker with your feet at this level. I loved it. Your commentary reminds of my experience and emotions but most of all i just wanted to enjoy so concentration was huge but equally you are just in the zone which i put down to the ease of timing when they hit so controlled. Keep up the great work ... look forward to watching more videos. All of my tennis friends love these vids - nice forehand by the way!

Chung simply does too much warming up excises.
I noticed the sounds were different when you and Chung hit the ball.

Can't be much of a hitting partner if you can't do variations on one half of a court- make do with what you have man, no excuses.

Djokovic is on a gluten-free diet; Chung is on a Chung King noodle diet.

Thats one of the things I cant stand with some pro athletes, Chung couldve exchanged a few words, it wouldn't have killed him to do so, it had nothing to do with being in any kind of zone, I call that being rude. Attitudes like that is why I'm not a fan of any player, I love the sport, I play it fairly well but I'm not a fan of these guys, they can kiss my ass.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I see your point, some of the players are a bit too distant from everything around them but I don't blame them. It's just their way to prepare for the match. Possibly on the day when they don't have a match, training might be a bit different and more relaxed.

If you can hit with all these guys why dont you become pro?
