Perfect presentation. Thank you so much. I suspect you might boil them longer if you want them very soft. But if you’re cooking with them they will probably continue to soften as they cook.
No additional rinse, no seasoning while cooking, and 20 minutes to cook beans is not even close to enough time for any bean. Nice kitchen and jewelry though. Smh!!
Just taste a bean here and there and when the bean is nice and soft, remove from the heat. Use those beans in a dish just as if you would use canned beans.
@@JoJoJoShredder it is actually healthier to sprout the beans first, gets rid of a lot of antinutrients and the beans cook quicker and I think they are tastier
Well you can sort and remove small stones and other debris right before storing them after you buy those beans.... and not when you are ready or about to cook it
Exactly! Remove stones, bugs and bad beans and then rinse really well to remove any pesticides and then soak them overnight in a pot covered in cold water and a lid in the fridge to keep them from fermenting!!!
Only one thing you are missing is what to do with them while they are soaking? leave them on the counter or put them in the fridge ... Other wise great video.
David Manvell Hi Dave, you don’t need to peel your beans. Were they sitting for a while in pantry? Sometimes my older beans lose a few skins. Are all of them doing it? Regardless, they’re fine and you can just pick the skins out if you want, and continue as normal. I’ve never had ALL of my beans lose their skin though, so I’m not sure what’s doing that if that’s the case. Good luck mate!
You're supposed to pick out any bad beans or stones or bugs before a really good rinse/wash before soaking them overnight, covered by two inches of water in a covered pot and put the pot IN THE REFRIGERATOR so they don't start to ferment!!!
Loved the immaculate nails sensibly trimmed short though those bangles might be a challenge kneading dough. Most impressed by the bowl of persimmons looking like Fuyu but no competition when compared to Hachiya. Nice presentation and most definitely easy on the eyes.
Great video, if you’re daring…ya might like my Grandmothers recipe for beans. 2 cups pinto beans, sieve under water, removing any stones or bad beans, pour beans into a bowl quickly throw bowl and beans into the garbage can, because wouldn’t you rather have pizza? Let’s order a good pizza! 🍕
This is exactly how I soaked a pot of beans a very long time ago, and I gave myself a damned good case of food poisoning. I have never soaked beans again. I think I will look elsewhere as to how to soak beans.
Yes! Why are these people in these videos telling you to leave them sitting on the counter in room temperature water (it will become room temperature well before 8 hours passes). They have to soak in the refrigerator after cleaning them really well first to remove pesticides!!!

Exactly lmao!!!!
Right it takes hours
Soak your beans over night in cold chicken stock, then drain and simmer them in fresh chicken stock. Makes a world of difference...
@Uncle Gilbert
Vegans don't eat good food anyway. They can just stick to their plain beans and tofu.
@Uncle Gilbert so use vegetable stock…
Don't forget you guys sort through the beans for bad beans and rocks and clumps of dirt
Thank you. I learned something.
Thanks for the great info.
Thanks! Helpful info! :)
Thanks for the information beautiful.
Simmer for 20 min? I don't know any beans that require so little time to cook.
In the pressure pot 20 mins is enough... But in a regular pot takes way longer...
Just taste a bean here and there and when the bean is nice and soft, remove from the heat. Use those beans in a dish just as if you would use canned beans.
Lentils are about 20 min i think as you get larger it takes longer
Shoutout to the guy that miked the glass bowl and not the lady
Think i soaked mine too long,, they formed roots so i had to plant them lol
They probably sprouted and are still edible - a different way to enjoy beans!

How long did you soak them?
@@sun_free must have been a couple days 😂😂
Thanks much 😋🥰🤟
I soak mine overnight and some next day they smell spoiled is that ok?
As a first step,do you not sort your beans to remove small stones and other debris?
Well you can sort and remove small stones and other debris right before storing them after you buy those beans.... and not when you are ready or about to cook it
Yes
Shoot that's I got a piece of asphalt rubble one time in a bag of dried beans.
Yes!
i have beans used for Tempe in SE-Asia, 3 days not go soft, a man said to me add yeast or baking soda this will soften, still trying...
TY
what about rinsing and washing them?

In the fridge or they'll ferment!
So for black beans the shells seem to be peeling off. Am I supposed to pull the shells off?

IDKWB the ones in the cans usually look so plump and perfect looking.

I was thinking this woman has a combination of english and american accent xD Thanks for the explanation
A "Transatalantic" accent?
She sounds American with a hint of Irish.
@denna ken This is a video about soaking beans...
@@margaretashton2693 No crap!! WTF???
When I make beans it’s takes 3hours min. !
Why do we drain the soaked water? Will the beans lose its nutritional value
after soaking the bean, the water contains sugar that causes gas, rinse well :D
The water is dirty. The beans still have nutritional value.
Soak in fridge or counter ?
Counter.. No need to refrigerate .
In the refrigerator unless you're looking for fermented beans.
Would be good to add a teaspoon of salt to the water overnight
i heard salt is a no-no at this stage. only after your dish is fully cooked.
Mine never got soft even after soaking and cooking
The beans you bought were probably irradiated. Make sure and buy organic.
could have been too old

The water after soaking beans may have been good for soups
Does soaking them keep you from ripping farts all day long?
lol. you can soak beans for days. cook them as long as you want, too. City people....lol.
How to soak beans.
Step 1: put them in water
I'm sure the plastic bag your beans came in have way more chemicals in them than the metal can
Every now and then I see a woman that's knocks my socks off. Good thing its summer.
Oh my gosh it's me a year ago. She still knocks my socks off.
😅😅😊😊
Cans are lined with plastic. If you’re gonna cause food safety panic at least get the material correct.

Ok thanks for the long ADs just to see soaking beans, wow really…????
The way she looks she doesn't have to know how to cook 🤣
Soaking the beans and getting rid of the water may destroy the nutrients, I'm afraid.
There's no proof that "nasty" stuff being absorbed into any kind of cans foods.
