The Iron Grenadier is actually very similar to an existing design that we got from the Club. Those weren’t skirts, they were the lower parts of their long jackets, like this. We’ve already seen from the presentation that they move fine. It’s very soft material. I do agree on the cuff, but I can rationalize that away. Hybrid ceremonial and functional. This is a better cuff for tactical use.
I just watched the reveal video. I’m more of an o-ring guy, but that Storm Shadow may be my first ever preorder. I do wish he looked more like V2. He is a little too extra, but I still like it and Storm Shadow is my all time favorite. Alpine and CoCo are on my list as well.
I just started collecting o-rings again and I’ve been watching Anything Joes back issues and loving them.

Are you buying vintage o-ring? There's never a bad time to be scooping up the OGs. My heart will always first and foremost belong to my childhood Joes!
@@AnythingJoes yeah. GI Joe figures were my childhood. I’m a huge fan of the comics too.
I made a Whatnot account and that proved to be dangerous. I started just buying missing accessories for my childhood Joes… then things escalated.
Storm shadows swords are on his hip to mirror samurai style. I also think those new legs are our first preview of Budo.
Storm shadow design is awesome to me. I get that it’s a bit jarring, but I think he looks more tactical and interesting…and crucially, that secondary will come right off, and he will basically be v2. Also…you’re 100% getting a retro carded version. I don’t see the plastic complaint at all. Alpine’s face looks okay in some pics and a little goofy in others, but all the new tooling is amazing.
The double barrel rifle is more or less based off of the Gilboa DBR Snake rifle. So in that respect I can at least give them props for it being “real world”. BUT the IG’s weapons selection just isn’t great…Destros’s guns kinda make sense but the other two don’t imo

Great show guys! I appreciate your discussion of the pros and cons of this wave. I will pickup the 4 mass retail figures, as well as the retro Cobra Commander and Trooper. I’ll pass on Stalker, as I’m satisfied with the Classified version. I appreciate the modern updates on the IG and Storm Shadow, but I feel Alpine should’ve come with a backpack. I feel no urge to army build the IG or BAT, as this will be the 5th BAT, and I expect to see a retro IG in a future wave. I may pick up a couple Cobra troopers. Keep up the good work.

No worries! I'm plenty satisfied that others are happy with this wave. There's no shortage of Joe stuff for me to get entangled with right now. 🤣

Also not a fan of the Storm Shadow V2, something is just off and that red sucks. But Jaren hating on Storm Shadow was the most jarring part, blacklist that guy 😂
