@@Hahahahaaahaahaa Watching this back 5 years later, yeah…people are complete idiots. It was so blatantly obvious that the first part was supposed to be cringey to set up the second half of the skit.
the fact that petes story was actually kinda true cuz he has crohns is very clever
Pete Davidson has it in real life?
@@llarmstrong783 lol yeah 😭😭
@@shaynathompson9961 Why are you loling at that? It's a serious condition?
@@llarmstrong783 that’s my fault. i wasnt loling at the condition. i know it’s a very serious condition and i’m sorry for that.
@@shaynathompson9961 no need to apologize to me. In retrospect you were loling at me not the condition
this is actually an outstanding performance by Luke Null, what a beast.
He’s the reason why all the dark revealing jokes at the end are so funny to me
This was amazing front to back. Great premise, and Luke Null went all-in on it, knowing the audience would be very uncomfortable for the first two minutes. Great commitment from everyone involved.
He said, "And that leaves me," and I almost choked on my peppermint 💀 🤣
This guy was on SNL for like 3 months and never seen again 😬
@Jay Balvin Mane you mean zuh
What’s his name?
@@georgekoeltl1271 Luke Null.
I just looked him up to see who he is. His wikipedia page is literally 4 sentences long.
Loud and completely unfunny, can see why he only lasted 3 months.
I love when SNL skits make you uncomfortable. It makes it only more funny 😂
“I’m lesbian” - the room of people applaud
as they should
America is about 20 or 30 years behind most of the world on sex stuff so yeah, the American Propaganda machine keeps shoving same sex issues down everyone's throats until the older people die out and it isn't a thing anymore and everyone gets their rights. Or at least stops getting bullied or killed over their sexuality. There are still people who are 40 or 50 and still dealing with childhood trauma from being picked on so the machine is just trying to lesson that by accepting everyone. It's annoying but perhaps necessary.
@@DidNotReadInstructions America is not 20-30 years behind on anything lol. We set the pace, as they say ‘America sneezes, the world catches a cold’. Cute try though with your obvious liberal propaganda programming at work.
@@skyeb8036 Why though? You shouldn't get special privileges or applause just because you are special
@@MikeJProto Because coming out, and coming to terms with your sexuality is hard, and they applauded to that- also "You shouldn't get special privileges or applause just because you are special" read that again please
This was actually really funny considering that was so horrible to watch.
That was the whole point
I think we did not understand where the sketch was going, so it was very uncomfortable to watch in the beginning until we saw we the end.
I feel terrible for Luke. He finally gets his own skit to shine through and make an impact and this what comes out. This just made me feel sad inside. Ugh, hopefully next week Luke. We're rooting for you
Yeah that wasn't even close to funny
Yeah but you all laugh at the stupidest skits.
Liam Humel fuck Luke
It was kind of funny but why does it seem like he pissed in the writing team’s catering? Let’s not forget Miley Cyrus talking about how he was a bad kisser 😂
Nicholas Pesch probably like a freshman hazing sketch. Jon Rudnitsky's first sketch involved him getting licked on and grinder on by Miley Cyrus
and now sairose ronan is kissing kate winslet in a movie, who would've thought
Lmao came here for this comment
Lol
@@GL-yt lol me too
The plot twist put me in tears omfg🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mom:"How was your first day at the new school?"
Son:"Good..maybe."
If I didnt read the comments here I would have never guessed so many people would have trouble understanding a fairly straightforward comedy skit.
I find this skit hilarious. even funnier when nobody laughs as the kid is going on and on
However it is possible you get it and still don't like it or think its funny, and thats perfectly okay.
I love SNL, and I get the premise of this skit and why it's supposed to be funny, but honestly it's one of the worst SNL sketches in history.
@@JLConawayII it was terrible
@@ParallelUniversity Fully agree, it was even on a fairly good show. It didn't work then, it doesn't work now. And it is not about actors, they did actually better work than maybe usual to play that tragedy. The writers just forgot to add comedy in it. It felt more educational than a real comedy. Maybe in that role, it worked very well...
@@JLConawayII really? And you're reading comments on UA-cam and declaring the reasoning behind OTHER PEOPLE'S COMMENTS!!!! See how ignorant that is?
If you stop watching before it gets to the twist then you'll never know
“You’re right I am a lesbian and it was really hard for me to come out but thinking about dating a guy like you makes me really glad I did” ✊😂🙏
True im a gay pony boy who likes to get penetrated by multiple men at the same time
This sketch is funny af. In the beginning he reminds me of that one loud and obnoxious that talks and walks around all the fucking time. Everyone knows that guy. Then it flips around and it's actually only his first day. It went bad when his personality turned out to be fake.
lol thanks i didn't get that from watching the video
Nobody knows that guy
Your soo cool man save the pussy for the rest of us you scrub
Game Couch dude we saw the skit you don't have to explain the plot
oh now I see it
Kenan’s speech felt like it was directed at Luke himself for the terrible performance, not his character lol
G.C. - I know, right?! 😂😭🚫
So true.
He did a good job of portraying an unfunny and extremely unlikable asshole. Not a great job. Just a good one.
Why do you think it was a terrible performance? It wasn't supposed to make us laugh. It was setting up the punchline.
G.C. Real talk lol
3:50 The janitor at the end was hilarious.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that there are not enough seats for that last guy to actually sit down?
Actually yeah, since the loud kid was in the wrong class.
Chode was in the wrong class to begin with
I think Luke nailed it. That wouldn´t be an easy character to play but he did a fantastic job.
this sketch aged like fine wine, poor Luke Null, never had a chance…
Saoirse Ronan is the reason I realized I was lesbian. Just saying.
Yea shes really attractive and shes the reason i realized i wasnt gay 🤦🏾♂️😂
Why so?
Nice
I feel you. I came out as full hetero after watching her.
Same
I find it funny that they casted Pete as the guy who has stomach issues and has a specific diet because of it, and he has Crohns in real life
The audience was DEAD in the beginning
MGTOW King True true
I mean his character was supposed to be an asshole who is crossing the line so it makes sense.
It wasn't supposed to be funny in the beginning. It was just a long set up for the punchline.
Mister Nelson it's like they weren't filming it live
Why would they laugh at something that isn't funny?
pete davidson and saoirse ronan in one video? my life is complete
I didn't know Eric Trump worked as a janitor!
John Chessant he will once daddy goes to jail and loses his fortune
Times are hard
I'm Donny Jr, the brains.
I'm Ivanka, the beauty.
AND I'M ERIC 😂😂😂😂
John, you are a fool. That wasn't Eric. We know because he wasn't wearing his minions backpack!
Ben Glaser Haha
2:29 Kenan couldn’t contain himself 😂😂🤣
It's really awesome when a whole group comes together and everybody's nice.
Lorne Michaels: “Luke why don’t you meet me in my office for a little chat?”
Auti 😂
I wanted to love him so bad. Apparently he's a kickass singer. They should bring that out somehow. Everyone loves a dude that can sing. Score him some audience points. He's definitely been out shined by the other two but I still have high hopes for him. Idk if you believe in astrology but he's a cancer. He might take longer to get used to things than other members who are naturally more adventurous.
Xanax i see what you mean haha I’m a cancer too. I can understand that
Auti - well there we go!
Xanax I am a Leo and I take a painfully long ass time to adapt to any environment lmaoo is there like somebody I should talk to about that
This dude made one amazing skit and was never heard from ever again.
As a future dietitian, I am soooo happy that we got some recognition in the skit :D Most ppl don't know that registered dietitians are the ONLY nationally certified healthcare professionals to give out nutrition advice
I’m a certified personal trainer and most people think that comes from us. I know there are trainers that do dish out meal plans. I’ll have nutrition chats but anything out of my education i advise seeking real advice from dietitians or nutritionist with actual degrees
bc you’re the only ones who even learn
about it which is just absolutely ridiculous 😒
Maybe they made it a bad skit on purpose so in an ironic twist the skit breaks the fourth wall making it a new kind of funny
they did that once and it wasn't very funny. The skit was called "Jerry's Place".
what? is that new kind of funny, not funny? No dude stop making excuses, they failed hard! Im a huge snl fan but that first part was cringe as hell, not a single laugh from the audience.
Totally agree, he suppose to be an unfunny asshole the first two minutes who sucks at being cool. That’s the whole point of the skit. Everybody leaving comments about how the beginning sucked are missing the point.
Nope, just bad writing. The more you try to rationalize dumb things, the dumber you become.
Harrison Nguyen Nope, it’s suppose to be unfunny the first 2 minutes. He literally called the girl a lesbian for not going on a date with him and then makes fun of the Jewish and black guy, It’s so obvious he’s sayin politically incorrect things to purposely make the audience uncomfortable and to set up the punchline when Keenan comes in.
Damn that awkward silence was more hilarious than the skit
“He say yo yo yo and I was like is this guy racist?” 😂😂😂
You gotta give it up to him for being so confident when no one was laughing
Incredible how silent the audience is at the beginning. Shit was Seinfeld level great.
Greatly outdated and cliche?
@@tibb75 Seinfeld wasn't cliche or outdated. It was great for its time and it's called cliche now because so many shows have taken the mold Seinfeld built and filled it with whatever they wanted.
That’s an insult to Seinfeld
I liked how Pete Davidson incorporated his real life with the skit lol, cause you know...chron’s disease..? No one? Okay...
It's "Crohn's Disease". Heck, just say IBD next time. Just don't confuse it with IBS, which is a different GI disease.
GrizzleyBruin you’re seriously lecturing me because I spelled it wrong? Lmao my cousin has it. I’m familiar
Pete has Crohn ? I didn't know that .. I have it , I
know The pain :/
Karolina Julia same. I had no clue poor guy
Oh yeah... So fucking deep we couldnt get that lego to stick.
Who would have thought Keenan would be the only thing holding this show together? Every time he’s in a sketch anymore it’s just to insert some actual comedy into terrible writing. I hope he gets paid more.
Didn’t really enjoy him during his early years but he has really come into his own.
I still don't enjoy him. He's horrible, can't act, breaks all the time, but I agree he's about the most positive thing in this season so far lol
intalent He breaks on purpose he smile we smile
I must say, I think Keenan is terribly overrated. He does the exact same thing in every sketch he is in, and that weird smile of his is almost punchable. But maybe he is good for the American audience....
Michael Holmgaard He is good period foreigner.
I just can't look at Kenan without laughing man Kenan is the best comedy actor ever.
Love that random brown piece of hair in Kelly, oh oops sorry, *JACQUELINES* "hair". 😂😂😂

Luke Null did a great job setting everything up perfectly,, and he was awesome
Soooo paaaiiinful to sit through. Who the hell wrote this?

PumpkinEskobarr I
I find much of recent SNL content is based on harassment based situations, and is difficult to watch... This was light in comparison.
I don't know if SNL are trying to be provocative to move the agenda on, I hope so, or are just in some cases playing on the discomfort of the audience.
PumpkinEskobarr thought I was watching situational movie
They did a good job at the intentional cringe like wtf 😂
Mikey's face when Brody says his name at 4:23 O.O
Luke Null should have had more roles. He was a great cast member!
Tough crowd, Kenan made me burst out laughing.
Kenan always has a smiley face when he's portraying anger lol
Kenan was trying not to laugh so hard
I love how nobody laughs in the beginning
The first guy acted great man. The ending was dark and made it awesome
That minute and a half monologue at the beginning was performance art
And I just made it to Kenan's reply, jfc this is good.
Lmaooo Kenan breaking character is my favorite thing on earth 😂
I love how Pete managed to get his Crohn’s in there
Well he's just earned himself about a decade's worth of detention
Director: "BE ANGRY!"
Keenan: *smiles
0:05 He says he has rubrics for midterm exams. What kind of math class has rubrics?
01:19 "Yo-yo-yo, what's going on my dawg?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“mah dude”
Dude not dawg
Yeah, you guys are right. I misheard it.
There's a lot of hate for this skit, but I thought it was quite funny. The humor comes from the awkwardness of the beginning, which makes sense because of him being a new student.
Pyridius Yeah you get to actually feel the discomfort of the class rather than being omniscient. I hate how uncomfortable people are now with any ambiguity in entertainment. The punchline could not have worked as effectively with any other set up.
People just don't get it...smh
Pyridius
It was a big swing and a miss

No. This was a poorly-written sketch that tried to break the rules but failed. Any seasoned comedy writer would know that this was a failure.
