I f’ing loved this movie! It is a love letter to the fans, a roast of Marvel and DC, and on and on. It’s almost as if the fans were Michael Corleone settling all “family business” during a very depraved and violent baptism!

Just saw it with my son tonight & we Absolutely loved it! Laughed throughout the entire film start to finish. Very entertaining & so much fun…highly recommend it!

12:56 btw during the infinity war film being released in theatres back in 2018. There was a tweet that marvel had put out to promote the second deadpool movie. It was a letter written by deadpool to tony stark in wanting to join the avengers. But the reply from iron man was telling him off to not have him join the avengers told him to and go bother charles xavier instead
No matter how good it is it won't make the next Marvel movie any better.

So if you break the 4th wall how do you put the 4th wall back again? Does every Marvel movie from now on have to be meta from now on? Real question.
Only the deadpool character breaks the 4th wall, unless they changed something no other characters will do that.
No, Deadpool was always a deconstructionist piece. So, it makes sense for it to break the fourth wall, and with the frequency it usually does. That's the whole DEADPOOL GIMMICK. Same with Batmite, whom I doubt we'll ever see in a proper DC movie. Or that really hard to spell and say Superman character Mr. Mxyzptlk. I cheated and looked up the spelling. Howard the Duck would also work with Fourth Wall breaking. Guardians can get away with one or two. Spider-man can as well since younger versions of that character are known to be self-aware. Otherwise it's a cheap and easy gimmick for bad writers. We know we're going to see a movie, they know they're playing pretend, etc. Wayne's World used the 4th Wall Gag well, as well. That one or two jokes in Ferris Bueller (even though I personally hate that movie) were done well. It works in comedies, but pure action with hints of comedy it wouldn't work. My favorite cartoon of all time was built around it, Rocky and Bullwinkle; same with my favorite Anime, Oh! Edo Rocket.
Deadpool talks to the camera or directly at the audience. That's all breaking the 4th wall means. It breaks immersion and suspension of disbelief. Otherwise, it isn't meta. Meta would be a movie about making a movie or something similar.

Based on that thumbnail, nothing much has changed. Some things are not only allowed but encouraged, while their counterparts are not only discouraged but viciously forbidden.
Still won't see it with how they've insulted the fans in recent years. Female Silver Surfer and Ironheart are coming. Nothing has changed.
LOL, Will we get a "Fastball Special" of Wolvy literally flying through someone like an arrow? It's so iconic it's been iterated upon many times...two members of X-Force did it, She-hulk and Wolvy did the "Fireball Special", and even Squirrel Girl did one with her companion, Tippy-Toe, the "Fuzzball Special"...
It's only tangentially related, but in the SNES game, Super Mario RPG, I always thought the coolest weapon was the "Hurley Glove" for Bowser, where he would just take Mario's sprite from the party and chuck it at the enemy...and if Mario was KO'ed he would throw a Mario doll...lol...especially with the "Timed hits" in that game, if you nailed a crit. Mario would bounce of the enemy into Bowser's claws and he'd throw him again...
I regret watching this, for a non-spoiler review they spoil a lot. If you want to go into the movie completely blind I recommend not watching this video.
That's their style. They talk less spoilers in their actual spoiler reviews.
maybe exercise some self-discipline, and avoid most trailers & reviews in the future when it comes to a tentpole movie.
@@briansolo I think this is isolated to Film Threat. Chris Gore has a unique way of spoiling a lot after saying he won't spoil the film. Other reviews don't do this.

I just came back from the cinema and I wish I could say I loved it but unfortunately I thought it had a lot of issues. I did like it but I thought it was very unfocused and a bit all over the place and it didn't really feel like an MCU movie and did almost nothing to push the MCU further. There are some teases that Deadpool will become important for the MCU later but it never really pays off and the movie is completely self-contained and divorced from the rest of the MCU. There's still a lot to like, espescially if you are a fan of the old Fox movies, and Ryan and Hugh are great throughout.
I'm going because I want to see the original X-Men team back together. Am I going to be disappointed?

It's like you don't know the state M-SHE-U is in right now. Push further from where? The Marvels? Echo? Shang Chi? The Eternals? They're in too deep. Deadpool was never a part of that story, it can't fix it. It's been known that Deadpool, however successful, can't do much to save Marvel. Several good movies are needed for that. What's the next thing they'll put out? Agatha. So, yeah.

If there is bad deaging, I suspect it’s a meta joke on the bad deaging of Patric Stewart in Fox-Men 3 and Wolverine 1.

I’m going to see the movie to see for myself. Honestly it’s about supporting our local theater as a business than anything because there is talk it is going under. Perhaps Disney will get a clue this is what fans want to see and not the other crap they’re peddling.
Also, I never mind giving money to good properties and letting companies know what they did was great. Even if I steal a movie/tv show, if I like it, I do legitimately buy it in physical form.

The trailer looks interesting but we have all gone through this before, and it's always a disappointment. Disney is always using what has been established to push their message and or belittle what we love.
Maybe on day many years from now an actual Marvel Universe can be rebooted.

Is it four hours to twenty minutes...as movies seem to be getting longer?
I bought my ticket today. It's listed as 2 hours and 7 minutes which tells me its 2 hours or less (depending on how long the Visual Effect credits last which really bloat modern movie credits).
Mauler and Drinker are saying this movie is crap. Guess gotta go see it to see who is right
I enjoyed it, and I've enjoyed exactly 2 Marvel movies since Endgame: No Way Home and Guardians 3

Full of callbacks and cameos, things that DIsney Star Wars film and TV gets pilloried for are now praised. Multiverse makes plots meaningless, fights which have no weight because of healing powers. Mindless fun? Yes of course. A good movie with character development and meaningful story and plot? Not so much.
As alex from angry joe show said, this movie was 100% fan service and yes i agree with him. But hey it was still entertaining movie. ❤

Unfortunately, I don't like Deadpool and he doesn't stop speaking all along the movie. What a nightmare! I like Wolverine and of course, he must be in yellow.

Why do you keep removing my review? There's no spoiler in it. So let's try this again.
let me expound on why I dislike this movie. Deadpool has no reason to be in his movie within the context of the movie, the reason given is meta reason but in the movie itself has no purpose for being in it, or being chosen. Both of the villains are lame. When the second villain in particular is introduced, it is really drawn out and boring. The team up fight scene made no sense as at least two of the teammates do not have power sets that would keep them alive. They would have died instantly in that setting. The CGI is already dated. None of the emotional beats land. The exposition from Deadpool explaining to the audience how much of a hero he and wolverine are in a serious manner was cringe. This happens at least twice, and they're extraordinarily long. The entire section with the "other ones" can be completely removed as evidenced by the smash cut back to the story. The ending was terrible. The reason wolverine needed to be put into this story didn't make any sense. The reason they're on the mission for the macguffen which itself is dumb.
Hmm... What else? Oh, is wolverine Superman now? His strength is off the charts which isn't a power he possesses. The guy they first meet when they're in smoke monster land, would have died from that fall and yet he's up and about talking. The continuity of the injuries in their suits is really bad. They heal, their suits, do not.
Gamespot gave it a 4. They loved the Acolyte. I wonder DEI… I mean why?
