I’m a Delta fanboy, but the DeltaOne is a disappointment compared to United’s Polaris. For the regular Main Cabin, Delta is still a notch higher than both UA and AA.
I should have clarified that... Its 280k spend if you go for status just through spending on the Reserve card. I gave an example if you split it up 18k of flights and 100k spend on the Delta reserve card. Either way, its very difficult to retain Diamond Status if you had it before. Meanwhile, you can spend 100k on the AA citi cards and get Executive platinum without ever taking flight... It's hard to make a case for staying with Delta unless you have lifetime status.
